Considering a lot of people in Canada and the US can’t afford real foods for their homes, it would be so cool if a brand like mini brands or mini verse did a food bank initiative!

Miniverse could call it "Our Universe Initiative" or something along those lines to tie in their official brand! I would buy so many of those toys if even a dollar or so went towards charity or something like that. For example, some credit/debit banks have special cards that you can get that link to local schools and theyll donate a certain percentage of each purchase to them, would be cool to even simply see something like that but to food charities in this case.

@@Ccampbell024 it’s not their problem at all but lots of companies do charity stuff here and there for tax write offs etc. just seems like a clever idea if they wanted to do something like that considering the food bank situations are pretty dire and they mainly sold mini canned goods and non perishables so seemed like the perfect fit to me!

At target this was on sale for $50 and we thought it was a great deal and bought it. We didn’t see the booklet so we had so much fun with this making whatever projects we wanted mixing all the options up to create cute new foods.
Better help is being sued for what it's not doing and how they are treating people. They aren't worth being involved in. And this is coming from a therapist that talked to others. And you can google it too and see the stories

Omg I wanted to buy this kit when it came out as a Black Friday special, but the sale price of $89 was just too high. It eventually went to clearance for $69, but I still couldn't bring myself to buy it. Now seeing this, I am sure glad I didn't. Thank you, Jackie for taking one for the team!

But thank God I made it through and 2024 is a new year! I love these little projects with resin but sad their quality has gone downhill. Did you enjoy making each project? Or was it perhaps a gift?

@lisasylvester6122 it is kinda sad I had to cut the resin bottle open to get enough. I went pretty creative with it lots of fun. In my opinion mini verse is over priced though.l

I got this for $49 and I love it!
I don’t have a lot of storage space and I like saving some of the “ingredients” from my Miniverse kits, so this storage case is _perfect_ . Everything is so neat and organized now.
The only thing is that I have to use poster putty to keep everything in place. If I don’t, it all falls when I open it.
My next project is going to be personalizing it by replacing the background cutouts with various scrapbook paper cutouts that I like.

As a current counselor/therapist, I really wish creators would stop promoting Better Help. They are only harming others.
I agree! Not a therapist, but as someone who has tried BetterHelp and had the worst therapy experience of my life. We really need more accessible options than that scammy company.
The thing is, it's at least *something* for those who can't afford in person or other online. I live in the UK, and I was able to pay £40 per session with better help (I did a year with them, after some very tragic events happened in a very short amount of time, and I could NOT afford normal therapy) and it did help, but I was REALLY lucky to get a therapist who had 40 years experience, and she was so lovely. - Here usually one session with a NORMAL in person therapist is £80 in my area, for *one* session, and it can be really difficult finding an LGBT+, female therapist to make me feel safe. Better help is okay for like... emergency (but not emergency emergency) if you can't do anything else, but promoting it is also iffy.
but we also keep in mind that like- they are affordable for us poor people who don't have a choice, because therapy is expensive and not covered by insurance. I know many of us would pay the normal price if we could, but we can't, and when you have deaths in your family and can't handle it, what else can you do? Is it better to have nothing, than at least something?
I do wish that there were better, while also affordable, platforms for therapists and counsellors to help. Places that genuinely do care about their patients, and who want to genuinely help and not just use them for money and data to sell (since yes, Betterhelp had issues a few years ago with selling information, and they had to refund tons of people) it's.. It's a really difficult situation that isn't so much black and white.
I think promoting it isn't the best though, I know they pay TONS for these promotions, but... ugh. It's difficult. Therapy is not affordable for people, especially people under 25-26 these days, trauma sucks balls and so many of us need help. Heck, even finding the right therapist IRL is a double edged sword, where it takes 3-5 therapist changes before you find the right one for you (ESPECIALLY if you're part of minority..) and the wrong one can do more harm than help.. But ugh, like- What else can people do? especially when they do want help but there is no funding to help? It's such a difficult topic. People always go "NO THEY HARM' or 'NO THEY ARE AMAZING' but the reality truly is, that it's a very greyscale world and greyscale situation dependant.
THIS!!! HORRIBLE "SERVICE" for many reasons I listed in another comment. I understand that creators need their sponsorships but I really thought Jackie would have done her due dilligence on something so important! I HOPE she can address it and end whatever contract she might have with them.
@@unsystematic- Under other comments Jackie has said she unfortunately had no idea about the lawsuit and such against Better help due to it being an American based lawsuit and she's in Canada and she'd personally used them and had a good experience but now that she's seen the comments it seems she will no longer be taking sponsorships with Better Help.

If a company gets better, and we want that to continue, we can't punish companies for things they aren't doing anymore forever. If they haven't stopped, that's definitely a problem, but the way you worded this sounds more like a "we can't forgive them for it" thing not a "they're still doing it" thing.

15:05 Vegetable is a culinary term, not a scientific one. There is no such thing as a "vegetable' in botany; every single plant that we call a vegetable is, scientifically, a fruit! The term "vegetable" and "fruit" in culinary terms are just a way to separate plants based on things like taste, best use, where the seeds are, etc. So technically, something like a tomato is *both* a fruit and a vegetable, depending on which definition you use; botanically it's a fruit, culinarily it's under the fruit category of vegetables (the supreme Court even ruled that they should be classified as vegetables! Wild!)
In the culinary world we call anything with seeds INSIDE of it a fruit..others are vegetables, tubers, etc..

Hey as a chronicle ill person as we have the same thing that you for sharing your info about it over the years and trying to help others out. IT SUCKS. But you're not alone you got this Girl, keep going even when you feel like you can't. We all hope you keep fighting. We will also keep fighting with you. So what I've learned, this company uses a specific machine that extrudes resin into the bottles by pre-measured amounts. And often air bubbles come out with the resin, most likely due to high demand of the product and the factory producing such a huge amount of product.
In a large bottle a few bubbles wouldn't really hurt a anything, but in such a tiny lil bottle one air bubble and you get no resin
Your channel got me addicted to these tiny art projects(not just miniverse but those too 😅) Saw this set and couldn't believe the price tag, waited awhile and finally it got marked down to $23 on clearance. Definitely not worth $100 but for $23 its a pretty decent deal. Happy crafting! 😁

@@SmoochiesASMRplus if that's the case, I recommend getting a fixative spray. That's what I use to preserve my traditional art. Or if you are giving this to a kid, you can use ModgePodge. They have both matte and glossy options. ModgePodge is very versatile and can be used for many craft projects as both a sealant and glue.

I am in Omaha, Nebraska, and it is currently 6 degrees (F) and blizzarding (so in Canada, like a typical day in March, right Jackie?) I got it on sale from Amazon so it was worth it for me. You get 8 containers of resin and the capsules are around 10 bucks each. Plus I was able to make 14, maybe 15 different things. The value definitely varies per person but I love it!
it also depends how a person uses the resin! IMO it's worth it, I never had issues with not enough resin, in fact I always have leftover lol!

I used some tape to stick the backgrounds in place XD. I also 3d printed extra crates and drawers(you can find the file if you google, I googled on 3d print miniverse crates). I loved the items inside and I store all my extra's in the case.
Edit: I must say for people who aren't willing to support Aliexpress or aren't great with clay(aka me) this is a good option. Also, this one doesn't advertise as a full project. This is for people that want more stuff to be creative.
A trick I did for lack of resin in container was a short warm water bath on outside of bottle because it’s in the 40s where I’m at so the resin is cold…. I got way more out after it was warmed up 🙂
I bought 1 of these cases before christmas at full price, then after christmas at walmart i found 1 clearanced for 25 bucks, talk about excited!!! Of course i snatched it up real fast lol love love love miniverse!! Fyi i glued all the background pieces on mine in so they dont fall n its very smart they included the little white cardboard piece with the menu, n plate on opposite side def use it to place on one side so ur items dont fall while its closed n when opening. It def works!

It came with a reusable silicone mold, so it makes it easier to make several pairs of earrings or magnets with it.
Instead of paying for Better Help, get a stranger to tell you "it do be like that sometimes" bc that's basically the Better Help experience.
I have to give it up for the graphic designers for all these tiny things. The art and presentation is just adorable.
I’ve noticed the same thing with the resin for drinks, but I also saw that it usually fills itself up when you add the whole bag of ice and ends up looking like a full drink :)
My mom and I love to make condensed tomato soup with macaroni. We add a little butter, garlic, black pepper, and basil for flavor. It's inexpensive and delicious!
Pumpkin Spice pancakes, with real butter and butter pecan syrup (and real whipped cream if we really want to hit it out of the park) = pure heaven!!! 😋
Jackie, I think it'd be really neat to have the choco-nanna rings pouring out of the box in a frozen moments with milk at the same time. Also, you absolutely made a choco-berry cake, because Kiwi fruits are berries!
It's not important if Betterhelp is good or not. Just by telling people that it's OK to talk to someone makes this a great video. i have food addiction issues and got laughed at by actual therapists. Finally in desperation i went to an OA (over-eaters anonymous) meeting and was recommended a therapist by a member that helped me. Also sent me to a doctor which helped with weight loss. So thank you Jackie for being brave and sharing this with us. Happy new year and i am glad to see you again in 2024. Love from the pacific northwest. Canada side.

I want to give Jackie the benefit of doubt due to her being Canadian and to my knowledge the lawsuit against Betterhelp is based in America but Betterhelp is NOT a good company to use.
Whether or not they’ve changed their ways they started out as scummy. The therapist offered to you weren’t certified in helping with what they claimed to help. This lead to MANY people having a declining mental health instead of helping.
They also sold your data. The quiz they claimed to be confidential was not. They sold your answers and such to advertising companies which affected your ads more than just visiting a website should do.
A few people have said that they even refused to refund or cancel a service. Others had no idea Betterhelp was charging them despite never using the therapy service.
So they lied about having certified therapists which caused a lot of damage, sold your data, and stole your money. That’s not a company I would ever support due to all that. They can claim up and down they’ve changed and are better now but they should’ve been good from the start.
TH-camrs need to seriously start looking into the past of companies. It instills a seed of doubt against their integrity if they support these companies that have done bad in the past. As an Audience we expect the TH-camr to have done a tone of research into a company before endorsing their support. If Jackie had done that she would’ve seen everything they’ve done. So either she accepted the deal with no research or she knows what they’ve done and just wanted the money.
I am unaware of all of this!! I only heard about a good few years ago where they didn’t have certified but now they do. Everything else is new to me. Thank you for being so kind in educating me. I tried their service and had a positive experience since I felt like it was accessible for people who couldn’t or didn’t want to leave home to have speedy access. But I’ll be moving in a different path as of today. Thank you ❤️

I disagree with this. The 'one strike' policy is toxic. People AND companies make mistakes... what matters is the choices they make afterwards. I would have more faith in a company that made mistakes, acknowledged them and changed vs a seemingly 'perfect' company.

Now you have to try the make it mini appliances. Also, is that not what baking chips look like in Canada? That’s how baking chips (like chocolate chips) look like in the United States.

I got this at Target back in early December for about $65 on sale, and at that price it's worth it to me. I still haven't made anything out of it yet, but I also have a bunch of the regular sets I haven't opened either, so it'll be a big crafting day when I do.

As LPS collector in my teen years and someone with a dream to make LPS youtube videos 😂 I would use playdoh as fillings for the macarons and donuts so that I could reuse them or play as if my toys are baking and then making the goods (baking the plain bakery first then adding the frosting etc.)
About banana pancakes, I love them. I slice banana into really thin parts or mush them and mix into pancake batter and then I like to bake banana pancakes. They are really good 💖

I agree that we should reduce the stigma of therapy and that everyone should have access to quality mental health care. Betterhelp does not provide that and is pretty disreputable. Please see if there’s a more appropriate sponsor; this sponsor will hurt grains.

I love you Jackie but Better Help is NOT IT. For people looking for help there is no obligation for BH to "help" you with anything you just get passed around. It's EXTREMELY expensive, $70+ per session even for their "budget" option and you HAVE to do sessions EVERY week they will not let you skip or adjust your schedule. They aren't covered by insurance, they can't write scripts. It's predatory on both sides as their therapists are fired and quit often so even if you match with someone you like they probably won't stick around - in fact, there are AI therapist allegations now where people are trying to get chat help and recieving answers that are in no way relevant to what they talked about. Bad customer service. They've had data harvesting and info breach controversy. That's just the start. ):

No cheese sauce is crazy. You have pasta and nacho chips that could go with cheese sauce. It feels incomplete and expensive. Glad I didn't buy this. Thanks Jackie ❤

I saw a channel get the make it mini with appliances and dispensers. But they only wanted it for their dollhouse and didn't use the resin. So I was wondering if you'll be testing those out? Just so I can see if it actually works well how they designed it.
I was curious, too, but while it’s kind of a cool concept having a mini coffee machine pouring resin out into cups, it seemed a little redundant at the same time. But still, it would be interesting to see.
@ShintogaDeathAngel part of me is curious not only about the pouring. But also the clean up of the product and if there's enough resin. From what I saw you get two duplicate items in each set to make drinks. If these other regular make it mini products are lacking in enough resin for one project, it makes me wonder if the same is true for these with appliances and dispensers.

I wish Miniverse would make a better work area than just cardboard. It would be nice to have one made from the same material that the kitchen is made of, with real drawers and cupboard with doors!

I'm sad there was no cheese sauce resin for the macaroni. The box said "Grandma Approved"; it made me think of my Grandma who made the absolute best mac & cheese.

Been waiting for ya to do this review as I picked it up before the holidays. Don’t think i’ve seen anyone mention it but it does have spots on the outside that can use to hang it up on the wall as a display (which i plan on doing eventually).
Also gonna mention it here thank you nerdacrafter for getting into these make it mini miniverses. My girlfriend is annoyed by my new addiction. LOL
