Canada actually spends more per capita than most NATO countries. Since we have a large GDP/person ratio, 2% is far more money per Canadian than they spend in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Poland, ... and almost the same as Germany.

It was my dream to join when I was younger now everyone I know who did join says it’s not worth it whatsoever terrible leadership no equipment men going months without pay that is rightfully earned the CAF is a shell of what it once was it’s terribly sad I hope things change sooner than later

As a member of NATO we agreed to pay 2% of GDP on our military and we haven't done so, our Governments are a joke.

And what? He isn't wrong about the lack of appropriate spending to ensure that all NATO countries can be militarily prepared and can carry their own weight in the event of any military conflict against them. Any country would be able to take Canada over in a matter of hours if it ever came to that. It's embarrassing to know that we are so poorly protected by our own military due to lack of proper funding.
