I have watched Karen Brown's challenge for several years. I have cleaned and organized my small sewing using her ideas. I love your vlogmas, it feels like a quilting friend talking to me, which is your goal. Keep up the great videos.
I watched Karen Brown's video earlier and decided I should give it a try this year as well. I spent the day shredding old papers and putting the important ones in a folder. It was cool seeing my desk neat and tidy. And I found the important letter I was looking for to pay my taxes. I want to treat my quilting with the respect it deserves. Yes, my charity projects are important, but I have some special family quilts I need to finish. With Karen's decluttering challenge and your cheerful encouragement, I can do this and happily celebrate my 75th birthday. Like my 60th, the presents will be for all the special people in my life. That will be enough for me.
The library tour was amazing - with a gift shop! ❤ I also signed up for Karen Brown's declutter challenge again this year. Hoping to really declutter and make my craft studio my happy space. So excited for you coming up on 10k subscribers! 🎉🎉 Looking forward to celebrating with you!!a
I really enjoy watching your channel. i have learned so much from you! I will be doing the clean-up challenge as well as No Buy January. Your 10K subscribers is a testament to you for being awesome Amy! Looking forward to 2025 together.
Awe. You’re the best! 🎉. Thank you so much. A no buy January is always a fantastic challenge and giving yourself something to focus on like the declutter is a great strategy!
You have earned and deserve that 10,000! I love your videos. They are short and concise, entertaining and very knowledgeable! Thank you for the tour of your library, very cool!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Wow. Even closer to 10k! It really is a testament to starting something new and growing a community about sharing ideas using what you have and giving back to others. I made those travel tissue holders for my co-workers and so many were touched by the hand made nature of a simple gift. And that library is amazing. Beats all of ours combined back at home 😂
I am joining Karen Brown’s declutter challenge for the fourth time. Love it to give year a fresh start, declutter and make room for new ideas and plans. This year I’ll focus on my embroidery stuff. I am a multi-crafter with lots of stash and projects. My quilting, spinning and knitting is well organized. Embroidery and other crafts not yet. Over the four years I build the habit to keep my sewing and cutting table clean and empty, so I can always start on my project. That is a real motivation for me Love your library ❤
I already knew that about Public Libraries. I retired from the Rowan County Public Library in Morehead, Kentucky. However, your Public Library is there for everyone. All you have to do is go in and learn about everything they have to offer. The Library Is a wonderful place to go to learn, study, explore, relax, and visit with friends or met new people. As a retired employee, I have never understood how anyone could be bored in any of the new, modern, Libraries? I retired because of my health problems and age. Thank you for the free tour of Austin's beautiful Library. In the past, I have reserved one of their meeting rooms just to use their tables to make quilt sandwiches on top of. Take a look at their quilt books, crafts books, cook books and garment making books. If you apply for a Library card, you can check out almost any book in the Library for free.
What a beautiful library - thanks for sharing 😊. Love Karen Brown and I have done the declutter challenge the past couple of years. I am doing it again because I am amazed how much clutter creeps back into my sewing space 😳.
I love love love our library and do my very best to support .I have been going since i was a wee child. And I make a good donation yearly, both in supplies and $$. We got a makers room recently with an embroidery sewing machine, 3D printers, cricuit , looms, and so much more… they have days where they demonstrate for kids how to make… Karen Brown - every year! She is the reason that i have a relatively tidy functional room. Every year as well as her daily (and at times painful) decisions, i make a plan for an area that can be improved. Last year I added a bookshelf and put fabric on comic boards - now I can easily see all i have and not have to go out to purchase 😅 My goal this year is to get EVERYTHING off the floor, bins etc…. Big job and may be a yr long project! Thanks Amy- you are fantastic!! I have so enjoyed this series!!
It's wonderful to hear your library has a makerspace. That sounds awesome. I know a new branch near us has a special maker space as well - gotta go check that out soon. Also glad that Karen helps you get a tidy space! 😊
I could get lost in that library for days ❤ and congrats on closing in on a great milestone! I havent watched Karen's video yet, but I'm getting my own little jump start this long weekend! Its not only my crafting space or storage; I'm hitting the kitchen too, but genyly 😉 I ordered my day after Christmas, greatly reduced, Kitchenaid mixer. With tjat coming, im gifting my 19 year old granddaughter my 1988 Sunbeam stand mixer and my mid 90s bread machine. Win win! Thanks for all that you've put together for Vlogmas, its been a great series!
Thanks for taking us to the library. Wow ! It's so fresh and modern. What a happy looking place. If I ever get back to Texas, it will be high on my list of places to visit. Here in Philadelphia PA,, our beautiful Central library was built in 1927 in the beaux-arts style . I have been to the central library in several cities. Just like visiting a fabric store, walking into most any library makes me happy. P.S. Libraries are cheaper........ if you can stay out of the gift shop.😂🤣😂
Hope you reach the 10,000 subscribers soon, you deserve it for all the hard work you put into your videos. I have followed Karen Browns declutter videos for 3 years and I do take part in all the relevant bits. I find it helps me to focus on things that matter to me. Take care
I saw Karen Brown's video in my feed this morning. I had somewhat 'cleaned' my studio earlier, but need to finish it up. Maybe I should watch her video this morning as I work in the background. Have yourself a fabulous New Year! Hope you reach 10K soon! :)
I enjoyed the tour. I haven't been in a library since school! And they didn't look like this one wow. I might do the challenge after the donated quilts are finished and delivered. Have a wonderful evening 🥰
Amy, the library is fantastic! Thank you for sharing it with us! I’m so excited for you and nearly 10k subscribers! I’ve always enjoyed your videos but this year, I found myself looking forward to each day of your Vlogmas series! It was fun hanging out with you! It was a much needed distraction for me! I’ve always enjoyed the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day! My husband is always off during that time and we’ve always enjoyed being able to spend the time together! ❤
You're so sweet, thank you! I had so much fun with Vlogmas and it was so rewarding to see so many people enjoying the series!😊. It’s such a sweet time of year isn’t it?
I was very much in love with your library tour! What a way to spend a day. Will be checking in with Karen Brown’s challenge in January. Watch it every year but not participated. Might be the year to do it. Thanks for the encouraging words, love your enthusiasm.
WOW what a great video. I love Libraries. There is something about them- the smell, the possibilities of all that information in one place blows your mind. You are truly blessed to have access to one beautiful library. it is magnificent. Is it new? I could spend a day there and probably not see it all. Thanks for taking us along. Keep up the good work, girl. You'll reach 10K no problem. Be well and continue with the great week you are having.
I've done Karen Brown's Declutter Challenge several times - I think this will be my 4th year. I like the encouragement I receive at the beginning of the year to declutter, and then to be mindful the rest of the year of what I purchase, use and can let go. I've enjoyed your Vlogmas.
Hi Amy. 10,000 subscribers is something to be very proud of! Here’s wishes for many more! Keep doing you! That’s an amazing library! I will be participating in Karen Brown’s declutter challenge - God knows I need to!! My boyfriend gave me a new sewing machine for Christmas and asked me to declutter and organize my sewing room so that I can make better use of and enjoy it. Karen to the rescue!!
It is 8:00 PM here and I am thinking about a cup of hot chocolate! The library is one of my all-time favorite places to visit, and I have several on my bucket list to visit.
I love libraries. Thank you for the tour of your central library. Technology petting zoo - 😅. I watch the declutter challenge for tips to use randomly throughout the year. I always learn something new. I’m so enjoying your vlogmas. I got the last Christmas gift quilt finished Christmas Eve at 10 pm. I did 5. Started in Aug. they were cozy lap size not full size, although close. 45 to48 inches by 58 to 62 inches. They varied in size depending on the pattern I created. Looking forward to your book review
I love the technology petting zoo and I’ve heard some libraries have sewing machines and long arms too. I wish the libraries in the U.K. had these things. The only thing we have here is computers and access to the internet. They don’t even have magazines just daily newspapers. I’ve started Karen’s declutter challenge for the last three years and never finished it. This year I don’t need to do it! I’ve finally finished my sewing room and it’s organised and decluttered! 🎉🎉🎉🥳 I hope you reach 10,000 subscribers soon. You’ve managed to get this far quite quickly. When I started watching you on TH-cam I didn’t realise you were fairly new to it, I thought you’d been doing this for years!
Love me a good library❤. It’s 3 in the morning here and was looking for something to make me sleep when I came across your video, so sleep went out of the window😂😂 xx
I loved the footage of your library. We live in a small town but we love our library! My daughter is a librarian and libraries are still important! And just not for books! Re Karen's Declutter challenge. I follow along each year. My sewing lair is a work in progress. Each year my space gets a bit better. It is always in flux. Because what I am making is ever changing. Vlogmas has been very enjoyable. Did I miss the answers to the ask you anything questions?
Wow, that is a nice library. Here in Louisville we are slotted to get a couple new libraries. Sounds like a day adventure. I love libraries. Yours is fantastic. I have also signed up for Karen Browns tidy-up again this year. I really need it. Gotten out of control. Now with new longarm, Quilting in every room.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the tour! And good luck with your tidy-up. It's a great time of year to get things in order. I too feel like quilting is all over my house!
I'm doing Karen Brown's declutter challenge again this year for the 4th time. Each year I find something different that really jumps out to me--patterns, books, tools, etc.
Amy that library is amazing. I’m doing the declutter challenge again this year. It does make a difference. My sewing room is currently filled with wrapped packages as we will celebrate Christmas with both our sons and their families on Saturday. You looked really happy today and definitely rocking that wonderful red lipstick 😊
I really enjoyed seeing that beautiful library! Wow! What a beautiful place! I love libraries also… I put it on my list of places in Austin to visit; thanks for the recommendation! I have the same thoughts on doing the decluttering challenge. I have watched before, but may now actually do it. I have journal making items in my sewing studio, so this will help me in both areas. I do plan on accepting the challenge this year!
Thank you for doing Vlogmas again this year! I'll also be dropping in to Karen Brown's declutter challenge ... and it is a challenge since I packrat "useful" things for future projects. We'll see how we do ...
Karen's declutter is always great fun. I won't be doing it until such time as I get my she-shed built and I am ready to move in and will deal with all that then. However, her suggestions are great and practical.
I enjoy your posts so much and evidently so do a lot of people. I especially love your sign off phrase of you make the world mor beautiful... For your 10,000 subscriber a nice give away would be one of those Hello Beautiful neon signs. I loved it so much I bought one for myself. Thank you for all you freely give and share!!!
I’ve done the declutter challenge 3 times, but I can’t get to the fabric. My pins are all sorted. (WOOHOO), but there’s fabric everywhere. So this year I’m focusing on fabric storage.
I am actively participating this year in Karen’s Declutter Challenge. I’ve signed up in the past but need badly to do the steps this year. The next time you are up in Round Rock, peek inside the new library. It, too, is gorgeous. I’m happy the communities care enough to keep books (and so much more) available to the population.
Display that 10,000 number proudly; you’ve earned it. I like all my stuff so I’m not cluttering but I am going to pull from yarn and fabric stash daily. At 80 you set your own rules! Your library is amazing ❤❤. I’m a prolific reader.
Thanks for all the great videos….you must be exhausted! Go ahead and do a studio tour, keep it real. This is why we love you! I am hoping to do the declutter challenge but just moved my quilt room so I have room for my new to me long arm machine. Lots of stuff shoved here and there.
Your library looks very calming and relaxing place to visit. I have a feeling you will reach the 10K subscribers before the end of the year. Love your videos.
I have watched and did it with her some. It really helped. BUT I am ready to do it again. It feels cluttered again. Thank you enjoy your videos. You will get there.10000 awesome
I too watched Karen's video so have joined. Very keen to get my craft studio in order. The whole house actually. Have started in my bedroom & closet this week. The library looks amazing. Loventhe garden on top, and the technology petting zoo. How cute. Even better is that they still have actual books! I also love this time between Christmas and New Year as a time to reset and refocus for the coming year. We take it as a quiet time, to start decluttering and sorting. Here is NZ 🇳🇿 it's the start of our summer holidays so typically people take a good potion of their annual holidays in the next month or so.
It is SO FUN to be able to get everything organized!!! I hope you enjoy the process. Some dear friends of ours moved to NZ last year and it’s always a delight to chat with them in opposite seasons.
Your library is amazing. Did I see a "Fabric Maker" Space there? I know some libraries have AccuQuilt dies to share. I wish mine did. I follow Karen Brown but I haven't done her "Decluttering Event". Maybe this year.. 10,000 followers is amazing. You should be shouting it from the rooftops! Congratulations
Thank you so much! I think there might be a textile maker space. I’m fairly certain there is such a space as a new library near us - but we haven’t visited yet.
Hello Beautiful! Wow that is one awesome library! Where are the books? I hardly saw any at the library. Thanks for sharing it with us. 10k, AWESOME!!! I remember when you started. You’ve come a long way baby. Are you going to do the ask me anything video or did I somehow miss it?
Thank you so much. There are soooo many books. All the rooms at the edges are filled with shelves and UV protected glass windows. It’s amazing. Ask me anything is over the next two days! I can’t wait.
@ don’t forget to tell us your age. I think you are a lot younger than I am but sometimes I get a hint that you may be closer to my age. Although you certainly don’t look it!😘
I've followed along with Karen Brown's challenge for the past couple of years, but I retired last May and I am looking forward to participating actively this year! I'll be your accountability partner if you need one.
I have watched Karen Brown's challenge for several years. I have cleaned and organized my small sewing using her ideas. I love your vlogmas, it feels like a quilting friend talking to me, which is your goal. Keep up the great videos.

♥️♥️♥️
I tried the declutter challenge a few years ago, and didn’t make it very far. I’m in again this year with renewed determination!!
I hope you enjoy the process and find a nice flow! 🍀. Remember that it can be on YOUR terms.
I’ve done the declutter challenge 3 times, but I can’t get to the fabric. My pins are all sorted. (WOOHOO), but there’s fabric everywhere. So this year I’m focusing on fabric storage.
That’s a great goal for this year - I am cheering for you!
I will do that! I love visiting different libraries. There’s a brand new one in Cesar Park as well. Thank you.
That library is amazing!! 😊
It’s a beauty, isn’t it?
Display that 10,000 number proudly; you’ve earned it. I like all my stuff so I’m not cluttering but I am going to pull from yarn and fabric stash daily. At 80 you set your own rules! Your library is amazing ❤❤. I’m a prolific reader.
You go, girl! 80 and thriving! 🤩.
Thanks for all the great videos….you must be exhausted! Go ahead and do a studio tour, keep it real. This is why we love you! I am hoping to do the declutter challenge but just moved my quilt room so I have room for my new to me long arm machine. Lots of stuff shoved here and there.
Thank you! I'm excited for you, that's awesome!!! 🧡
Love the library tour!❤
Thank you.
Your library looks very calming and relaxing place to visit. I have a feeling you will reach the 10K subscribers before the end of the year. Love your videos.
It is such a peaceful and inspiring place to spend time. Thank you so much!
I have watched and did it with her some. It really helped. BUT I am ready to do it again. It feels cluttered again. Thank you enjoy your videos. You will get there.10000 awesome
Thank you. I feel like my space is always evolving and decluttering is a constant process.
7pm energy drink 😂 enjoying the replay ❤
Thank you! An energy drink at 7pm would keep me up all night! 😜
Hi Amy thanks for sharing your journey with us 😊
I am so glad you're along for the ride! 😊
My sewing room / office space has been a disaster for 2-3 years. I tackled a bit this week as work slowed down.
It’s a process isn’t it!
You are so fun. I love the library. Yeah 10K.
😊😊😊 You are so sweet!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
That was no library I have ever seen that was awesome
It astounds me every time we visit.
Although you certainly don’t look it!😘
😜♥️♥️
This is wonderful --I’m a retired librarian
Oh wonderful! Thank you for your dedicated and invaluable service.
I love Karen brown
♥️♥️♥️
I have joined for the last two years and looking forward to the 2025 challenge
Awesome!
I've followed along with Karen Brown's challenge for the past couple of years, but I retired last May and I am looking forward to participating actively this year! I'll be your accountability partner if you need one.
I’m so glad you’re participating! What a great idea to make it a team effort!
Doing challenge. 15 min a day. We can do it😮🎉
