@@shashank-sama Maybe because its a true perception, many indian studies correctly point out how people of lower caste are treated so badly in India. Every year you have hate crimes against minorities and yes there is a section in the Indian Penal Code that deals with discrimination against SC/ST and you can find cases in this category, more often in certain parts of the country. Like so many parts in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal and UP. And these states make up a huge chunk of the total population of India

The reservation system is the reason why most of the top students that are not from there reserved castes are not getting seats in good public colleges and institutions and because of this thing they leave india because they know with their talent they can get good jobs in other countries . These are the people you keep hearing about are the indian innovators in foreign countries. After all this when foreigners keep relating everything to caste then indians do get angry .
