Brett, love your videos. You have a nack for showing how beautiful the desert is. You have a nack for working in some western history, but best of all, I love hearing your personal stories. You're a great story teller an you let us into your life. It's kinda weird, even though we've never met I feel like we're friends. Thanks for dragging us around on your adventures Pal.
Glad you made it through your down times and your here today. Nice to see the drawings 👍. Always good to see you out with your critters. Take care.🇺🇲🌲🔥🔪

It's the closest thing I've found to being there. Not only that but I always explored the Sierra Nevada, so, watching your videos is like you're showing me your stomping grounds. Thank you so much for making these and taking me with you.

My friend, I enjoyed the video ..and I absolutely enjoyed the Mystic Mountain Ramblings !! 😂 I’ve certainly had my low times but they were years ago .. the road I ride down now is full of much more joy and peace .. Onward and Upward my Friend.. That is the Watchword !!
I sure wish I could be there with you. Imagine the early settlers that missed the water sources and didn't make it. The petroglyphs are so cool, wish I could be there.🎉

Stumbled over this channel today. I've watched about 6 videos so far and I really enjoy the stories, places and the scenery. Always wanted to go out west, ramble around the country there and check out some history... exploring with mules is something I'd never considered before now. Keep up the good work, stories, information and take care!
Must be there road map trail map of there time . Another good video .I like the audio you added . Looks hot and dry again here in Minnesota last week we had 4 inches of rain in 7 days. Thanks for your videos. I watch them all the time .
Thanks for sharing your story about the person you found. Gives closure and he may not been found for much longer. Like seeing the new pup out and about, this is a great location with the rock art and a spring! It amazes me how in such places water is accessible and provides life for those lucky enough to find it. I know the animals do but we humans can walk on by as you showed here. I have been in this area when much younger with my uncle who was allowed access to private property and we were looking for art, treasure and history. It was 113 in summer and as a teenager who was very active and lived in the panhandle of TX this area sucked the air out of me. I found an old adobe partially standing cabin, Buffalo wallow and a spot od shade. Resting there I tried to imagine a life during those times, the hardships, the beauty of the desert, everything my teenager head could conjure. As I finished off my water, my uncle called from the sagebrush and rocks time to go. I will never forget that day, the adventure, the ruins, the rock tools (we left as found) and we never found the Spanish gold rumored to be hidden there 😅😅😂 Be safe, keep sharing. And the new pup will learn fast, we are all hardheaded as pups 😊
Just found your channel today. It was in the “recommended” section. I watched maybe 3 mins and instantly subscribed! Thank you for taking us along with you. Your mules are beautiful and I love your dogs!
I travel around the 6 western states and am amazed that the pioneers. It must have been really hard to bring the whole family across a thousand plus miles through prarie, deserts, and forests. Making traild and roads. Yet, with the perseverance to continue on. The mountainmen, westerners, and pioneers deserve great homage for their dreams and accomplishments. I'm not forgetting the native americans, I think they deserve homage for thousands of years of survival in this great land also.
From what i have seen elsewhere petroglyphs and pictroglyphs range from 800 to 1200 years ago on average. On another show you showed a petroglyph o-o-o and best of my knowledge that represents 3 years or a circle represents 1 year. Thanks for your content. Your show is very entertaining and enjoyable. Anyone notice the bird in the sky at 15:52 when He is talking about the owls? I think the drawings were near the cave indicating a good spot to camp and possibly hunt , and hard telling how old they are , possibly hundreds or even thousands of years old. Always enjoy Your videos.
