Good Job on the Out House door! If you have bears around you need to carry a big bore pistol. A bear that is not hibernating is a real danger to the family.
We could certainly have bears around. We typically have them on us anytime we are outside of the cabin area. At the cabin the dogs seem to be a good deterrent
Yes, since we aren’t not there during the week it is not heated so upon arrival it is almost the same as the outdoor temperature. It’s a decent space to warm up everything in there so multiple hours pass before it’s a comfortable temperature. Arrival during much of winter is below zero Fahrenheit
We do not yet, just weekends for now until our kids are out of school. They want to attend school so we live outside of town full time and commute here most every weekend until they are older.
When can you go skiing? Take the boys and go skiing and show me the mountain. If how steep it is please pretty please please please please please please please❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
We actually do not have many options and most do not open until December. If it’s too cold they can’t operate, so the season isn’t as long as one may expect here. One is open but we do not use them, no great place for a beginner skier.
All batteries have a "cycle life".... a cycle life is how many times it's been drained and changed. Older lithium batteries had a cycle life of only about 500 charges (cycles). Newer ones can go up to 5000. Toward the end of a battery's cycle life it won't hold a charge past 80% and this will keep decreasing with each cycle until it no longer holds a charge (you've probably seen this with older phones). Looks like the older battery is getting toward the end of its cycle life.
I think this is exactly what it is. We were told it had minimal use and sat around as a “just in case” and it appears we can’t even use it. We managed to get it to charge once more (took a week of trying) and drained it in less than an hour so I think unfortunately it is at the end of its life. Perhaps draining it after exposure to the cold didn’t help. Luckily the new one seems to be doing well even as the cold increases we have implemented a better “warm” transportation situation.
@Wild-and-Free-Interior-Alaska I think if you allow silence with some of the nature views, that would be wonderful. Keep sharing your family, feelings, and insights please just allow some moments to appreciate nature and the landscapes. That's my favorite part!! 😍
Looks like winter has set in up there!
It certainly has now. Took us by surprise how much came in while there. The next episode will showcase just how difficult of a journey our we had
Great video.
Thanks for watching and jointing us on another adventure
Awesome ❤
Winter has arrived! And quite the storm too 🥴
Hash brown’s! 👍🏻
Delicious!

Does the cabin get really cold inside in the winter?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Do you take the boys to North Pole to take a picture with Santa? I hope you do for precious memories.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, every year we do. Best Santa around.
Do you live there full time

I really enjoy seeing your lifestyle but you don't have to talk constantly lol
I’ll keep that in mind. Definitely have received reviews early on where we didn’t talk as much that said we should narrate more 🫣😂😅

Thanks for the input I’ll try to incorporate some more of that in!
