I could listen to you for hours on end.... xo.....actually, ... I AM.... LOVE how your Soul captivates through your Drum....your technique exquisite!!!
Nice touch Jim it's good to hear someone with some restraint and feeling yet good dynamics, very nice use of the mic ,a little hendrix in there . thanks
Can anyone tell me hod does he make the sound on 1:20... the hum? its like he is manipulating the back of the membrane in some way, but I cannot figure out what it is and how to reproduce this on the frame drum without the handles in the back. Is this possible at all?
@@melodikos hey mate, could you elaborate a bit? so he just pushes the the back of the membrane with the thumb and this changes the pitch? I tried doing this on my frame drum without the handles, and it does not sound anything that long...maybe i has to do with the membrane on his drum that might have a longer sustain than mine...

The closest thing like this in Canada is the big handrum used by Eastern Crees (Around Mistassini) with the little bones inside on a string.
This guy for sure knows how to end!
He must be a shaman.

Where are the little symbols on the sides of his tambourine
