    Your videos are very comforting during these times. Wish you and yours best. Also I think all of your Evoride notes are spot on. Fix all of these minor points and Evoride 2 could be absolutely phenomenal, especially with the beautiful colorways Asics can generate.

    It’s better then the peg 36 and 37! The fit it’s just far better! Thanks you for still uploading during these rough times. Best of wishes from California

      I use Nike peg 36 and my shoe size is US 9.5. If I buy this, should I go true to size?

    • @Carlosediaz543
      @Carlosediaz543 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@abrarmurshed1363 I would go with the same size. The toe box is going to be narrower in the evorides so if you find your peg narrow I would go up 1/2 a size

    Perfect intro music! In terms of running 5-10 km at around 4:00/km or faster pace, what would you recommend out of the Adios 4, Adios 5, Boston 8, and SL20? Or, would you recommend a different shoe entirely?

  • @JBdeJoya
    @JBdeJoya 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I don’t own these specific shoes but from the Asics shoes I’ve run in (GT-2000 & Cumulus), the forefoot rubber really does shred more quickly than the AHAR in the heel at least for the first couple of hundred km that the shoes are adjusting to your gait. Then they seem to wear at a more normal rate after that 👟

    Evoride>Glideride?
    How does it compare with the peg turbo 2?
    Kofuzi, could you share info on that legging you’re always using again?

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t have experience in the Glideride, although I suspect they are different tools for different tasks.
      It is not like the peg turbo 2 in feel or use case.

    Hi, I've just received a pair of these this morning, (in the UK) yet to run in them later once the weather is cooler, I've had them on inside in the house, my first concern, or only concern, is that tongue!
    I can't get it to sit in a decent position for it to alow me to do the shoes up fully, or using a heal lock lace up style, as it pushes out past the two top eyelets, and then the dig into my ankle / top of foot, have you, or anyone else experienced similar?
    I've tried to push the tongue down slightly back into the shoe to help, but i feel I'm going to have to lace it lower then I'd like, giving less of a secure hold.
    Brilliant reviews as always though dude. 👍🏻

    Another awesome video.
    About the puckering... I also get that on the Boston 7 and at first I really didn't enjoyed it but I got used to it.
    I believe it's because the mesh that that is vertical has something that makes it harder so it stays up and then when you move, it does the thing.

    To determine if it is AHAR or regular rubber, I use a ball point pen, pressing gently on a sample of rubber, the AHAR will be much harder, and press into the rubber less.

    • @wesarnold2408
      @wesarnold2408 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      kofuzi it does, although doesn’t effect the fit or feel in anyway. I think maybe because mine may be a touch too big. I found my true to size just 1/4 size too small - length was just not quite long enough and quite tight in the toe box so went 1/2 size up and it’s just a bit too long. Better a little too big than too small and as I’m using them for daily trainer/long run duties being a bit more roomy is fine.

    The wearing is a bit of an issue. I used to run solely in Asics because I knew they would be comfortable shoes that would last. I think my last pair were Keyano 24s and I stopped after that because they just didn’t last. I found that the midsole foam collapsed after about 400-500 kms. It’s a bit disappointing that they may not be improving.

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      kofuzi really? I always went with 600-800 kms. That’s why I was shattered to walk away from asics. By comparison, i have a pair of 600km old Hoka Clifton Ones that are still going strong. I feel like I’ll wear the rubber out first on those.

    • @kofuzi
      @kofuzi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      More like the Boston 8 than the peg 36. Use case is more similar.
      There is a bit going on in the heel cup to keep you in place, but I don’t feel firmness in the midsole for stability nor guide rails.
