Beatboxing isn't bound to age. Yes, there are some bass techniques like hard bass or demon bass that can permanently damage your throat when you are under 18 (or 21, its about the focal folds being developed). But most of the techniques are bound to determination. Not even skill tbh, every sound is unique and cool because of that. I can suck at doing liprolls (I suck at doing liprolls), but because I give it my own twist it still sounds cool. And Remix, this LEGEND, made things so unique but smooth that he leveled up to the rank of beatbox god. You know godfish, you now D-low, but Remix is the ultimate remix of those guys.

Hey there- now, I don't do anything professionally regarding beatboxing or singing, but there is one technique in the video which I ~think~ I can point out which I haven't seen you mention anywhere in your videos, David. Okay, so- the way to start out on this is... snore. Start with that inward sound of a snore, where you can feel the vibration happening at the back top of your mouth. By shaping your mouth into an O you can push that sound down, lower- the vibration you'll feel will be in your throat rather than mouth, but it'll still be the vibrational sound. Play with it a bit and you can bring the tone up and down... but it's not singing. There's no vocal cord utilization in this. So it's -probably- a sound style only useful for beatboxing. It's inward directional, but like... oh, almost like an inward throat singing... I have no idea what it's called or if there's a name for it. Let me know if you know anything on it.
man you are really eloquent, you can put what we are thinking in words my guy .. we need people like you in our community, feel like that's what structures and articulates what beatbox is and all ins and outs of it so that we know exactly why we feel like appreciating something.
