    I was really surprised how we are all really really really similar in all traditions, features, and everything, even being so religious. I tried to listen to ur naga dialects and I kinda pick-up some syllables and words though I am not sure of their meaning but I believed that we belong to the same family.
    I am a Filipino and we really look alike...and I also believed that we Filipinos are of Hebrew lineage, and maybe u r too. We are the only Christian nation in Asia by the way. And we have thousands of dialects in the Philippines but now we are one as a Nation.

    My dad showed me your TH-cam channel years ago and I remember watching this video in particular. It's only recently, in the last couple of years, that I've started to accept the Naga part of my identity. Growing up in America and never having traveled to India at all until age 22 I did not understand the Naga people and my own tribe. It's comforting to know that there are people who have had similar experiences living in the U.S. This video brought tears to my eyes for that reason. I feel incredibly privileged, yet honored to call myself a Naga-American and a Uipo girl. Thank you so much for sharing.

    Defining a 'naga identity' is very difficult. For example, tomorrow if someone meets a mizo, he says he's indian, people would say, o you are naga! No. U r SE Asian! No. WTF these confusing identities! There are some tribes in Arunachal and Manipur who are still confused as to whether they r naga or not. Naga is a term loosely connecting tribes of eastern India which were hostile to British initially but later gave away after fierce battles. Today they are connected together by Christianity and Nagamese language. Surprisingly in this video nobody recognizes himself/herself as Ao, Angami, Sema, Lotha, etc. but just Naga.

      we 've same civilisation, we fought together for india independence.
      nagaland was to part of Ashoka empire.
      our roots goes back to 300 bce. i don't think what type of commonality you searching for.
      it's like saying south india (dravidian) have nothing common with north indian people.

      Private Ming has got a point there and that's what the separatist movement in Nagaland's all about. Lost it's steam now though
      I like your integration concept but the facts need to be presented as facts...and not as a fantasy. Ashoka barely managed to reach Assam and Nagaland was never a part of Ashoka's Empire. Please do some research before you let loose of your tirade of emotions

      Even if they are ready to collab with the Indian community over there would the Indian community of USA be able to accept them? That's a big question. & I'll not talk about the race but India is also a part of Asia itself though we Indians are not Asians.

    • @aakashkrsinh
      @aakashkrsinh 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Tialem Jamir tell me how old naga and many hill tribes are and their population at the time of ashoka empire.
      tell me just some history about nagas of 3rd century bce. i know nothing about northeast of ashoka period but as far as south india concern they used to pay tributes(tax) to ashoka and had made treaty with them and in modern time you can say that those areas were semi autonomous part of empire.
      And my whole point was collabration with indian community and make them more diverse after all nagas people are indian and that don't seems to be changing anytime soon and i hope they feel proud to be indian.

    • @aakashkrsinh
      @aakashkrsinh 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      samyajyoti de listen after indian independence there was same difference between bengali and punjabi on the basis of lifestyle and south indian(Dravidian) and north indian(Aryan) on the basis of race. but look today they all are happily living together in everywhere all around the world and also in america.
      same will happen with northeast guys.

      True!!! Sad, some Nagas still believe in the artificial boundaries made by outsiders. Naga ancestral land has been divided and put in some parts of Arunachal, Assam, Manipur and Myanmar. There are only 16 tribes living in present Nagaland. But they are not the only Nagas. There are more than 60 Naga tribes. Learn to learn our own history and facts.

      @@debrickwotsa4583 and yet you call yourself a naga.? Uneducated maybe.? Just like most of the NAGA'S. ? EVERYWHERE, not just in nagaland, but everywhere. It's very funny, and people without knowing their history yet claiming that they're Naga's. No wonder many so called Central service aspirants from Nagaland fails in the test especially when it comes to their own history and traditions, even after clearing their mains exams. In UPSC exams I mean. Because you know what.? Those so called educated Naga's don't even fckng know their own history like you. And yet, the funny fact is that, they call themselves as Naga's. Lol what an irony. Just because someone tells you to eat shit just don't eat shit. People like you are a disgrace to the nation, Not just the nagas.
