NE Indians are not Austronesians. Filipinos are. The similarity is due to the fact that Austronesians were originally East Asians about 5,000 years ago however they didn't descend from Chinese.
Austronesians, Chinese (Sinnitic), Hmong Mien, and Austroasiatic people have same grandparents based on DNA segmentation.

Lol Nagamese? Help I'm dying, Nagamese is a language ( street language) it's made up of Hindi, Assamese, Bengali,English etc.. I don't mean to be rude but that's hilarious, it's called Naga, Naga people..
I'm a Naga myself,The girl in the picture wearing a traditional red attire is from my Tribe, Lotha tribe, one of the major tribes,We have 17 tribes. And we don't have the same origin. My language is similar to Mandarin,it is a tonal language, and we have similar words and meanings.

@@thisnthat7760 Thank you. I've always heard and used Naga before, but in other contexts. How far back do you think a Naga people go?
I think Naga might be an Indo-European word - introduced during a period of Hindu invasion about 4-5000 years ago - for a previously existing empire of native people in SE Asia that extended from coastal India to Vietnam and Japan, and in the islands to the south. This ancient civilization or confederation of people would be associated in Japan with the Jomon people, and so far as I know, little else is known at this point, or even speculated, except that they were excellent navigators with far flung trading routes, possibly even using trade winds to travel a huge loop from NZ to the tip of South America and up the coast, before catching winds back to Asia closer to the equator.
IDK if it has been discounted yet or added to, but there have been a few sources of DNA evidence pointing to ancient "Naga" arrival in South America.

I’m a full blooded Igorot - I actually encountered Nagas and Maghalayas some of my closest friends when I was majoring in music in my home town, Baguio . One of them became my best friend and my other close friend was also a tibal Chi’n from Mynanmar. This was in the 200’s so I am familiar and we did discuss similarities. I took a 23 and me dna test and uploaded my resisults to studies of poc people. On 23 and me at first the system got confused because I’m one of the first Filipino indigenous in their system. I was described as 100% Native American, 100% East Asian which is not possible lol now it can detect that I’m Filipino because of the sample size and because the ppl that are related to me are Filipinos the break down that I saw from my other results is I’m relatives to Taiwan aborigines and southern Chinese tribes and some of these are the modern day Vietnamese, Lao and Thai people. My theory is my ancestors were being ostracized in China so they moved down south until they found the cordillera mountains. You should take dna tests as well. Some of us also traced their ancestors to Siberia
