Funny timing. I was bikepacking on the Isle of Wight when you posted this video. My route to the Needles looked pretty similar to yours too. There's a lot of great riding over there, I want to go back.

You folks need to get down in the drops when riding down hill on gravel bikes. You get much more control and more secure grip on the bars. And still allowing good control of the brakes

Looks like fun: but have to ask why so much gear if you're not camping or stopping anywhere?
The weather that day had two yellow warnings on the island (there was flooding happening not far away in the UK) and was predicted to be absolutely horrible. Fortunately we lucked out, but on this occasion we packed for all conditions.

I though the idea of Bike packing was to go and camp out somewhere 🤔
This adventure we wanted to demonstrate how anyone can have an off-road experience contained in a day, thus the multiple modes of transport to get to somewhere remote. one looks at the map and thinks, wow, what a great ride, in distance, but, this is England, so the distance of 36 miles is so small, as the island itself!!!! The picture of the island can misled you!!!! Therefore, it looks a very nice place to ride the bikes!!!!

Nice to see you guys on the IOW. Shame you took the military road instead of the Tennyson trail, what the bikes are made for. The TT is just fantastic, Newport to Freshwater all off road with some breath taking views.
