Its not really easy to ease the pain specially everything you feel is all about him. But even though it hurts, I have to live and learned that my life still working without him. I lost my MOM Jan.19,2015 we buried her Jan.26,2015 i just happen to listen to this song a week before we lost her, and when we lost my mom this was the first song i thought of sang by yall. I lost my dad a year ago today to cancer and my sister Feb 2nd 2010 also to cancer. The other night I was singing along to this song and when I closed my eyes as I sang it I could see my dad and my sister holding hands coming to the bottom of this beautiful stair case made of marble and gold railings. It was like they came down from the stairs of heaven to let me know they are okay and happy. This song has come to have soo much meaning to me after that happened.

Good cover, but no one can sing it better than Clapton. Not because he has a beautiful voice or is superior on guitar, but because the song itself will never mean as much to anyone else but him. For those who don't know Eric Clapton dedicated this song to Conner his 4 year old son who died when he fell from the 47th floor of an apartment building. This cover doesn't do the original justice because the pain and suffering Clapton went through until he was finally able to write the song can't be matched by another person covering it for views on TH-cam.

I bet people won't be saying this if they didn't know about Clapton's story. IMO, they both sang it perfectly. You don't need to have the exact same situation to happen to you for you to be able to feel sadness. As if Eric Clapton is the only one in the world who experienced a similar degree of sadness.

WONDERFUL cover! Worthy of keeping this in my you tube Eric Clapton play list. I don't like most covers as most people sing out of key or don't have the tone and pitch right. But this is fabulous. Great voice, lighting, tone, pitch, camera verse and the arrangement. Great job!

It hurts so much that i can't even explain my feelings.. it's terrifying how fast time flies by.. I miss my otosan😢 my father fought cancer for 10 years thats why I'm happy bcos there will be no more tears in heaven and sad at the same time i miss him. 🙏 I'm proud of his strength. Please include my father in your prayers. 😞🙇♀️

my hearts with you. i came here to this song, because of my father. He passed, it will be one year in may already. not a day goes by i dont think about him. He had cancer for 3 long years, and it was such a tough fight. I still cant think about him without crying. Time can help, but cant heal what your missing. Just know, you arent alone in your sadness.
