Excellent video, absolutely love this content it's so well done! We are shopping for an RV or TT and were considering this model, we live in the deep south where it is very hot and wanted to boondock on the beach so this video really helped us cross this one off the list. We would love to see a review on the East to West Longitude 310RL TT as this was another one high on our list and there just aren't any other reviews on it. Thanks!
@@SpykersB I posted a link, but I guess I am not allowed to do that because it’s not here today. We will try this and see if it gets taken down. Title “Does Keystone Midnight Edition stay cool in extreme heat?” Channel: Keystone
You said the Furrion AC new style has the temperature sensor at the wall thermostat, but I believe it is only for the furnace not the AC. Can you verify this?
Great content, definitely help cross this off my list. We'd love to see a review of a Jayco Eagle 335RDOK, heard they added anti-lock brakes to that model. Curious your thoughts on the value of ABS and the slides for that model.
A general question, if you want me to post somewhere else let me know. I have a Winnebago Voyage towable. During the recent hurricane Beryl here in Houston I had a branch fall on the roof and poke a hole about the size of a half dollar through the membrane. I also had a fair amount of water get in the bedroom door and throughout the kitchen area. Basically anywhere the cheap fake wood is that can soak up the water it did. Is there anything that I can use to replace the damage cabinets along the floor, instead of the fake wood that came with it, to make it more durable? It also came with the cheap counter tops that are starting to peel off the fake wood used to make them. Is there a counter top material that anyone would recommend to replace what is on there? What can I do to see if any damage was done to the roof, other than the hole in the membrane? Trying to avoid future problems and appreciate any help. Thanks.
The 'Exact-Slide' system over the 'Accu-Slide' system is much improved. Cable slides got a bad rap mainly between 2015 and 2016 when certain manufacturers tried to change and tweak the system, it failed badly. Cable slides these days are extremely common and if maintained properly are very reliable.
Confused. Thought all cable slides were a bad idea. Apparently there is an acceptable version? Please provide the name of the good brand/manufacturer. Thank you.
BAL, slide cable mechanism made by Norco Industries, has two kinds of cable driven BAL slide types. The ACCU n the EXACT. If u can find the slides control box it will say accu or exact. You want to avoid the ACCU slide mechanism because when it goes wrong it will kill your rv walls via twisting. Their EXACT mechanism apparently designed better n corrects the ACCU flaws. Learned this watching Rigor RV Repair. 🍻
Have you rated the Lance Camper 2375 or 1685? Also, the Oliver Travel Trailers Legacy Elite or Legacy Elite II? Can you do 30 second review of these trailers?
You mention the AC working harder because of the dark paint. Gotta ask…did you test it in the heat? I haven’t noticed a difference in the Las Vegas summer heat - maybe a few degrees but not drastic like most say. Also, the paint won’t keep the coach warmer in the winter if the sun is not shining like it does in the summer. Big failure from people saying the dark paint will make it a hot box. It’s just not true.
Well, have you pointed a heat gun at the outside wall of a black rv n then on a white one on a hot day to prove otherwise? (No i haven't thats y im asking) what about on the inside walls? Because it's hard to believe a dark blackish painted rv is not going to attract more heat than a white one? 🍻
@@SpykersB I went from mine to outside 100 degrees, then into the same model, same ac setting; temp inside was the and just as comfortable then went back to mine. The only difference is the white model had 2 more people in it than mine. Honestly…it’s at the most a few degrees diffident if even noticeable. And the argument that it wouldn’t do well boondocking…it has a better off grid power set up.
2 different slide designs are commonly used in RVs and they are both made by the same manufacturer (Norco BAL). Jacob says the BAL Accu-Slide is bad and the BAL Exact-Slide is much better.
Nice review. You continue to comment about the painted exterior being an issue and the air conditioning won't keep up. That comment is based on your opinion without any testing. Best - most complete information on RVs on the internet.
You’re not wrong, but what Jacob is showing is that basically all RVs are garbage with the occasional gem in the rough

Most of his information is subjective and not based on fact. It's disappointing that so many people think what he says is based on facts.

Great video with in depth information ! I have learned a lot from this channel.
Thanks for watching! Glad the video was helpful!
An excellent example of having to look at specific RVs even if they are the same model. Pretty impressive review.
Can you add a 12v recirculating pump to water line to boondock easier?
