as i said in my last video, things are hard at the moment and my seizures are probably my worst symptom.
these grand mal seizures have been daily so this is one we recorded today.
in this video you see how my dog teddy reacts to my seizures, how my mum looks after me, my warning signs, and seizure recovery.
my seizures are believed to be caused by brain inflamation.
this video is purely for awareness & education. not everyone knows what seizures can look like💕🧠

My father grew up having seizures, he was constantly going in and out of hospitals as kids and was put on several medications. He's only ever had 3 recorded grand Mal seizures, but from him explaining it, it sounds terrifying. One moment he can feel his eyes rolling back as he calls for his mum from the other room to come and help, and the next moment he's laying in a hospital bed. He was constantly bullied because he's was half def and had seizures. Thankfully they stopped years before I was born, but hearing the stories from him and my grandmother are honestly so inspiring. She's always been there, and this just reminds me of those stories.

I watched this with tears rolling down my face wondering why a person with such a bright attitude has to suffer so much. Seeing your mum care for you drives it home how helpless a parent feels when their baby is suffering. Thank you for sharing your life so that people may better understand this affliction. Thank you for your positivity.

I teared up when you're mom kissed your nose. I do that with my son while he's nursing and it just threw it into a stark reality for me. Its not at all the same but I've suffered from debilitating migraine for most of my life and the fear and worry on your face right before it starts....I know that feeling. It sucks. Kudos to you both. So damn strong.

Hearing that this has become a daily occurrence for you helps me to understand how you haven't been feeling like yourself, as you said in your last video. For anyone here who is close to someone who has grand mal seizures then you know they often lose time and awareness for some time before, during, and after seizure activity. I hope someday soon that we can find a cure for this. We need more doctors and scientists to specialize in this medical phenomenon.

I started to cry when teddy licked your hand. It reminded me of a time i was nearly black out drunk in my apartment. I laid down on the floor and just closed my eyes. My dog began licking my hand incessantly. He began to bark and bay when i didnt respond.
Animals understand when something is wrong. They just dont know/cant help besides comfort and calling for help.

I've had 17 GM seizures and luckily have found a med that keeps them, mostly, in check. I've never actually seen someone else having one and it means so much to me to understand how this affected those around me.
I'm certain that this was terribly difficult to share this raw and vulnerable experience with the world ❤ My heart explodes with a deep appreciation, that the words thank you seem inadequate for. 😔
It was painful and beautiful, heartbreaking and fulfilling of an understanding I feel blessed to see from another perspective. I hope I don't put my foot in my mouth here but I too wanted to be as candid and open as you all have been.
Sending healing, positivity and sincere thanks- you gave me a gift, truly.

@@antknee9585 Topiramate, is the medication 💊.
And Holi Canoli's Batman! That is a long seizure! Glad you came around without ill effects but they Narcaned you? Really? Cause anyone having a medical emergency, while in their vehicle must be doing drugs?? Geez! I mean I guess, glad they found you but boy does that seem to speak to the state of things in our fine country. 🙄

I had 3 grand mal seizures on Sunday last week, I had my boyfriend and my 2 friends to help me through it. I’ve never had a seizure like this in my life and seeing a video of someone who deals with this daily is heartbreaking. It’s obvious how much Teddy loves you and worries when you have a seizure. I bet he could easily be trained as a service dog and he can warn you before a seizure happens. That way you have time to get into a safe position before it starts.
As for your mother, I am so jealous! You are very fortunate to have such a caring and openly loving mother!
You also have some great friends that understand what is happening and don’t judge you for your disabilities.
It sucks that you have to live this reality on a daily basis, but you have a very great team behind you to cheer you on. I’m sure that keeps you going strong! 💪🏻
Hopefully the trolls will see that you are 💯% NOT faking!
And hopefully the news journalists will not start saying because you are posting educational seizure videos, that now their will be a rise in teenage girls posting seizure videos on TH-cam now! And of course try to blame it on you! Just ridiculous! Smh! 🙄😵‍💫

you should have Teddy trained and registered as a service dog. it sounded like he was there just before your episode started and looked like he was actually trying to administer DPT (Deep Presure Therapy). the licking is also a task I see service animals preforming quite a bit as well. i think its supposed to trick your brain into coming back to reality, like grounding or something like that. just from what I have seen in this video and with what I know about service dogs, Teddy seems like he would be an amazing service animal for you. love your videos and how you are educating people one what these disabilities are actually like.

As someone who had epilepsy as a kid and thankfully met means to get rid of it, I'm so glad to see people not only educating others about its many different forms but also showing the variety that seizures can have. For a long time the media has portrayed the typical person with epilepsy to squeeze, spasm and essentially have what appears like a possession; Meanwhile in truth there are many people (in the past even myself) who each day suffer absent, myoclonic or just quieter types of seizures that don't cause immediate harm or alarm. Despite this, I'm very glad to see someone educating and representing them properly. Sending love, to you and your amazing mom, from Canada

It's so wonderful you have someone who loves you so very much, who would do anything for you. And Teddy! What a good boy he is.

I appreciate all the awareness that you spread, it's incredible and your bravery to show some the hardest parts of your health is truly inspiring.
As someone who is also having a lot of issues with daily seizures and muscle weakness (due to my FND) and other health issues, seeing you be so open about your experiences makes me feel safer and less alone.
Thanks you so much, I hope you know just how amazing you are. Sending love and hugs from Scotland!
(Also, where did you get your cardigan, or is it hand-made? It looks so cosy!)
