So beautifully and masterfully played Nancy!!!! I love this so much!!!!
I was just listening to your Dvorak Silent Woods dedicated to Jackie Du Pre....so beautiful!
Jackie and I became friends in 1967 and wrote to each other over the years until she could no longer write. I had a premonition dream where Jackie said she was sick and could no longer play cello. I woke in tears and immediately wrote her out of concern. This was years before she was diagnosed with MS
I have had premonitions my whole life. It was heartbreaking to hear the tragic news announced on the radio on my way to teaching a cello lesson. Jackie filled my heart with such joy. I performed a special concert in her memory, with our orchestra. Her spirit came to me at a time our orcestra was in financial trouble, which led to an all cello concert concert I performed in her honoumr to raise funds fir our survival. Jackie's letters to me are in Carol Easton's book Jacqueline Du Pre.
I am on FB and have a TH-cam Channel. I read her letters to the audience. My cellist Mom died just before my tribute concert. She had Parkinson's disease. Dad died 6 weeks later of Alzheimer's. I so wanted to study with Jackie but the timing was not right. She was touring the world with Daniel. Sheasked me to turn pages for him for their recital here in London Ontario. The tribute concert is on my TH-cam Channel.
I hope we can be friends. Thank you for this sublime and passionate performance! Like Jackie, you are an extraordinary soul! ❤

Demolishing performance. Every note is clear and pristine, it seems they've been cut with a knife. Pure beauty.

Bravo!!

@@gasparocelloman9852 Nancy is probably is one of my favorite cellists of all time, so indeed a fortunate I am to know her and have studied from her. And her Kodaly Sonata is absolutely stunning and again my favorite interpretation/recording... both the current video and as well as her album that she released years ago.
