Thank you! The story of that song is that I was challenged to write a song on an instrument I didn't play, so I was borrowing a banjo from a friend of a friend. I lived in Denver at the time, and was driving down to Colorado Springs for a Gregory Alan Isakov show. On the way I saw what I describe in the first lines of the song - a guy on the shoulder of the highway leaning on an upturned mattress with cars speeding by at 70mph. I've never seen anything that screamed "banjo song" louder!
BEAUTIFUL!!!
