Native Lexingtonian, 26 years old. We aren't all like the Starbucks ladies. Most of us are sensible and want change. Lexington used to have a ban against pan handling, but the state of Kentucky struck it down as unconstitutional a few years ago. Ever since, they just don't seem to know what to do with these people. Lexington is traditionally a calm and quiet town, and people used to respect that. Lately though, you're right. The vagrants and others take advantage of the calm culture of Lexington.
People should have the right to beg, not that i like it.. but its the only means for the sick. Sadly for every real sick person we have 100X lazy addicted turds

It's just that for the longest time, people never even saw a panhandler, so when they started showing up, Lexingtonians didn't really know how to deal with them, and I think that's why our approach tends to be so passive. I agree with your approach however. They may have the right to beg, but you also have the right to speak out and protect yourself and your belongings, and I hope to see Lexington become more accepting of the tougher approach like what you talked about in the video.

We have problems in Lexington that only became more complicated with the aftermath of COVID, but there is also a lot to love here, if you know where to look. God bless, and safe travels.

That new housing development your driving thru is nice but the houses are built to close together. I wouldn't like to live that close to my neighbors. We call them cookie cutter subdivisions no thank you. The U S is becoming more of a socialist society everybody begging for a hand out instead of a hand up
Lexington has plenty of panhandlers. People need to stop giving to them to stop encouraging more bums!
