I find artists like Devilman and even some like D Double E so interesting. Like when I first listened to them I thought they were weird. But now when I listen to them I realize how complex and creative their verses and songs are. I don’t even listen to grime like that but they’re so iconic
its true that the new gen dont know the true OGs, thats generally how it goes with any scene. unfortunately a lot of ppl need to be told what/who to listen to by BBC/Capital etc. Same happens with any genre. This docu is great. So many legends from back in the day. Hope it helps to spread the legacy
No Tin Can?!?!?!? Shard End #ZULU freestyler (No American accent). Recruited by RX. 1991 London Dirty Dozen member big up Spess, Stacy, DayX, T, Notchalus, Bailey and Streatham mandem and Kennington mandem. Tin Can moved with DJ Marga and Hijack MC Mellos cousin. Performed on stage with Kut D at Hummingbird with Public Enemy Professor Griff. Odd. Large up the effort though 0121 #PowerHILL #RuffJustice #LordsOfCRIME #Wooligan #InchI
Sounds like a real hidden great thanks for the history, good doc overall but i feel they let too many speak on the legacy when they are actually the result of it, Respect to all the brum trailblazers, the newbies want you to believe they did all the work which is misrepresentation of the real LEGACY
@@MoralsOverMudfish To be fair in light of the Diddy and Afrika BamBatty ting, the Youngers ARE MORE Hardcore, better armed and more global with bigger record deals. Plus they are proper family men raise their children so they get a pass.
Nottingham and brum carried the whole grime scene at one point. And it’s never talked about enough 👏🏽
