Dean from LTV is da man! I really enjoy his humor and passion for his work. It's so unusual to have someone that so much knowledge on RV design and manufacturing be able to boil it down to why the customer should care. So many other RV manufactures have similar features or function, but, Dean has a unique ability to connect with how that particular function feature impacts the customer.
The enthusiasm for the Mercedes chassis is not shared by those interested in remote camping as MB only has dealerships in the LARGE cities and not that many per city meaning some MB dealership give R&M appointment preference to commercial business customers, and they are expensive to purchase and maintain.
I wish that someone in the Midwest would put on something like this, also. Like maybe in Indiana? Indianapolis has a lot of good-sized locations to sponsor something like this!

Since the Boldt is on a Sprinter chassis you do NOT get AGS/AES capability for recharging like you would on a Travato. Once that enormous battery is depleted you'd have to plug in or drive it for a few hours. Caveat emptor, y'all!
Not to mention the ProMaster's disturbing lack of basic safety features like collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring, LKAS, and other contemporary technology that is standard on Sprinters, Transits, and most entry-level compact cars.
Great Job! A lot of work! Thor does a great job with new innovations. I currently have a Ford Transit Diesel. Which I REALLY like. Rides and drives like an SUV!

Am I missing something re: that Midwest van conversion? I can't believe the steel "mesh" (roof-rack) above the solar panels does NOT obstruct solar gain. Even IF the mesh didn't, the square-tube steel rails would surely cast shadows all over the panels, reducing their output greatly. -- BR
The small error stopped me immediately too, and I'm glad you commented. Bougainvilleas are so pretty that they deserve recognition. Deep pink, light pink, white -- one of the delights of the tropics.
Disappointed that you didn't show more of the interiors. Jumped around too much in each van never got a feel for the whole interior space. Not one showed the kitchen.
I think Leisure vans are still the best.... They look luxurious and they got ingenious designs... What I don't like about the Leisure vans though is they're so huge.... If only they produced a small one that includes the bed and the bathroom, that would be much enough.... I don't need two TVs or a kitchen, so many sitting areas or tables, But a lot of storages would still be great.....

On the Midwest.. You would have to take the whole roof rack off to be able to put a Max Air cover over the cheap vent lids they all use now.. Pricey mistake..
Have a stump-the-band question for you. What is the smallest rig you have seen that is built for an RV washer/dryer combo like the Splendide? Not interested in the variety of non-electric or using a scrub board :-) Would downsize if I could find the right rig replacement.
Good video, it's interesting to see the variety of manufacturers, but I must be confused about B vs Super B, I thought the Super B's were the bigger B's? This video seemed to just show mostly straight up vans. Am I missing something?

I can tell you from EXPERIENCE its the BLACK TANK SIZE THAT MATTERS WINNEBAGO FUSE class c black tank 43 gallons:) everything else is 8 gallons at most:( so sad, if you try and camp off grid for two weeks, or just LULU bucket:)
Nice Vid! What is the brand of that Ladder? That is the bomb! Winnebago Boldt. Dog leash should only be on the Driver's side. I've seen drivers drive off with their dogs leashed to the bumper and passenger side.
I can't believe LTV still isn't offering an all electric lithium setup in their vans, at the very least as an option. A lot of people do not want propane in their RV. Also, your videos would be much better if less time was spent interviewing sales reps and more time showing a detailed tour of the vans. That's what we want to see, not sales rep's BS.
Am I the only one who thinks those windows on the Winnebago look like a death trap? I can see a small child opening that window while the rig is driving down the highway and falling out. Unless there is absolutely no way to open them when the ignition starts, there’s gonna be trouble. Insane.
Yes you are the only one worried about a child crawling out the window of a moving van because you are likely the only one who wouldn't use a child seat or seat belt for your child.

Agree. You can see shadows in the video. Not a good design for solar efficiency.

The Winnebago class B manager said the Bolt is built on the Non-Ext. chassis, why are the length specification listed still show as 24' 3"?
24’3” is the length with spare tire at the back of the van. The actual van length is 22’8”.
