Any movie with Christopher Plummer in it is okay in my book. He was the most handsome, underrated actor. When he flashes a smile, I just melt. He had a long, full life but he is very much missed. Rest In Peace dear Christopher.
Now, most of women work and styles change too. Some outfits worn those days were totally ridiculous and far from elegant. This film portrays the life of minority. Why women always keep showing so much flesh, when the men in the same room wear suits! These poor men must be so hot or the women so cold. Men have much harder lives as they can't paint their faces in the morning, (women don't even hide the fact this is all painted on), can't hang jewellery all over their bodies and have their hair transformed by a hairdresser. Men have to be born good looking. Imagine man in a suit with a huge décolletage on the back, almost showing his buttocks!🤣 Where does it say, only women can wear clothes with décolletage on the front and on the back? 🤔
Jane Seymour is gorgeous, her hair amazing, her clothes simply glamorous. She moves so well in the dance scene because she was a trained dancer, ballet. That Cheryl Ladd is a co star doubles the pleasure.
Back when Americans & Europeans lived Elegantly & Dressed Beautifully. Women were Feminine & Men were Real Men. Most ppl lived Principled & Successful Lives. Unlike Today! Especially in America!
Sidney Sheldon, Master of the Game , awesome writer, all his books, but, crossings, I read the book I know the 80s was Danielle Steel , author, it's great reading...
Christopher Plummer of course drew me in and then Jane Seymour.both excellent in the roles they play characters to the extreme of very nice people and also just ogres. Jane on East of Eden with and on WW11 movie playing a Jewish woman along withSir John Gilgould and Many other greats. Christopher Plummer has played so many characters and excellent on each. Anticipating a very good watching experience thank you for sharing!
When Christopher Plummer gives an order, no one alive dare refuse him. If I didn't see his Captain Von Trapp fierceness before, it was crystal clear when he made Cheryl Ladd's character promise to leave the 2nd time he asks.
My favourite actress Jane Seymour is absolutely beautiful and awesome here! Too mean to her husband...And this is the second film with her and Christopher Plummer after Somewhere in Time. If she was chosen to be in The Thorn Birds it was be their third film together...
I read the book. I am glad I found this film. But they cut out that Lee-ann has two daughters. Jane Seymour fits the part of Hillary, and Cheryl Ladd is great as Lee-ann.
People we're partying whilst the war was going on, completely unaffected by it and in the mood for partying. This is only a movie, but in reality this was going on. This is hard to watch because of this.
Is I'm seen James Garner, again even his Voice is James Garner. Never of never seen... Jane Saymour acting Like this and looking With so much !!!!! Makeup and lipstick. And black wig, " of Course"! great actress Always . Good movie
When I was about 11 my uncle wentt on a cruise we threw streamers I thought to myself I want to do that one day Did u know if you save 30$ a week you can go on a cruise every 2 yrs
She started out training to become a professional ballet dancer, and a severe knee injury prevented her from continuing dance, and that’s when she went into acting instead
I loved Christopher Plummer's "Armand"--not beautiful enough to be missed? Ah, non, non, it's too late! Would love to hear him do some dialogue from this movie.
Crossings (TV Mini Series 1986) - imdb 6.6 An industrialist meets the wife of a French ambassador on a transatlantic voyage to Europe. As time and the war progresses, she returns to America when Paris becomes occupied by the Nazis and again encounters the industrialist. An affair ensues. Meanwhile, her husband is rumored to be a Nazi collaborator, but whose side is he really working for?
Any mother who would conduct herself like Hilary is not a lady I do know what some would call her . But I would not say it but I will say brazen and it’s a translatable word. And fear and violence bring decisions otherwise not made.
I don't know who the singer is, but the song is "All the Things You Are", recorded by Ella Fitzgerald among others. It was written just before the war for a show. Michelle Le Grand preceded his score with it.
Too bad the ball was dropped when it came to the clothes of this period piece. Especially Cheryl Ladd’s. She looks as if she’s dressed from the Civil War era, not the late 1930’s.
I'm snowed in, and stumbled upon a bunch of mini series which were made decades before I was born..
I am having a great time!
Haha I found this much the same way 😂❤
@@ColleenDaumen2 Right?? 😉
Is there a part 3?

Thank you for sharing. I loved this story from the first time it showed on TV. It feels good to see it again.
Christopher Plummer speaks English with a nice French accent! Charming. Thanks electronic for sharing this video.
Thank you for this story
Anything regarding world war 2 is fascinating to me.i am eighty three and barely remember it. Love cheryl ladd too
Lovely movie ...that was d time when women dressed elegantly , as women should , unlike today
Love the dress back in the day and when the stars were glamorous and acted the part. Times change and not always for the better.
& the days when ladies behaved like ladies unlike today. Have not watched the movie yet but I most certainly get your point.
@@lolitarouge Sigh !! Those good old days...You won't regret watching this gem of a movie.

But women can wear suits with a tie!
Beautiful job with this...thank you so much. I hope you do all of her movies...I love them.
I am very happy with the TH-cam movies ❤
Jane Seymour is gorgeous, her hair amazing, her clothes simply glamorous.

Jane and Cheryl are both great, watch everything of both of them,Love Cheryl in thrillers.
However, in this movie Cheryl is the star and Jane, the co-star... both beauties...
It's a terrible blot on our country that she turned away the passengers of the St. Louis. It breaks my heart.
THANKS FOR THE AD-FREE UPLOAD OF SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STORY.
Back when Americans & Europeans lived Elegantly & Dressed Beautifully. Women were Feminine & Men were Real Men. Most ppl lived Principled & Successful Lives. Unlike Today! Especially in America!
seriously, love the rose colored glasses :Nazis, Sympathizers in all nations, KKK, lack of equal rights ...but yes, they dressed well
Nice to see Cheryl Ladd dressed up beautifully.
Such a romantic movie!
Joan Fontaine, Oscar winning actress is who I'm here for.
Yes, my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw her name; some of the male oldies, too.
I read the book in the 80s, great book, great author, Sidney Sheldon.
I’m gonna look for it at the local used book 📕 stores

Gosh a very different part for Jane Seymour to play good acting
Yes it was, I am a big fan of hers and I had a bit of a hard time seeing her as a villain. Great acting though.
Just finished the book can’t wait to see the movie ❤
ah, the old caught in the rain alone together - cool scene ended as it should
Some 80s Dynasty Realness!
Lee Horsey what a wonderful sexy man brilliant in this .Had some Chemistry with Cheryl Ladd .
Love those who have part in these series.
Electronic.. Thank.. After some helpless searching.. I finally found you.. Thank God I'll be with you very convertible.. God bless you❤
Thank-you for your kind responce❤❤❤

Thank you for the upload! Really wish TH-cam would lose the subtitles. With about 50% accuracy and blocking scenes they are beyond annoying
I think you control the subtitles.
Well uploded 👍🏴

As they're tossing streamers over the rail before the ship sails, all I can hear are the opening strains to the theme song for The Love Boat.
When I was about 11 my uncle wentt on a cruise we threw streamers I thought to myself I want to do that one day Did u know if you save 30$ a week you can go on a cruise every 2 yrs
Jane is fantastic dancing in film 1
la femme fatale parfaite
She started out training to become a professional ballet dancer, and a severe knee injury prevented her from continuing dance, and that’s when she went into acting instead
Anyone know the title of that jazzy song?
Thank you
Jane Seymour stole the whole film from everyone!!! Excellent performance
I loved Christopher Plummer's "Armand"--not beautiful enough to be missed? Ah, non, non, it's too late! Would love to hear him do some dialogue from this movie.
It seems very strange to see Jane Seymour blowing smoke, like the role is so very different from how we think we know her.
JANE SEYMOUR IS A STUNNER,ELEGANT AND LOVE HER HAIR IN THIS MOVIE-BUT,IVE ALWAYS LOVED HER EXTREMEMLY LONG HAIR
Jane Seymour is absolutely gorgeous!!
Going out while on the ship is a new concept.😊
Jane was so beautiful in this movie
I loved this movie and Christopher plumber Danielle steel a win win and Jane Seymour ❤
this woman is so mean to her husband
One minute they are sailing away on the Normandie, mid atlantic, they are suddenly on the Queen Mary! 😮
Bond. Phillip Bong.
Nobody named Phillip has a reputation for anything but wearing their over-alls too tight.
Sad but they forget to put a story in that movie
stick up for Yourself Marisha. don't trust anyone.
with Hungarian synchron, thank you!
Could you possibly show " "Till we meet again" with Michael York in the main role. I would sò love to see it again❤❤❤
A very stylish soap opera
Fun watching Jane Seymour be the naughty one.
Joanna Pacula!

At 52:10...ladd looks exactly like the duchess of Cambridge.🤭

Liked the movie, but there is no nation or country called Nazi. It’s Germany and that is the word that should be used instead of Nazi.
Danielle Steele is all class...without the 'cl' what did you expect? Literature? Quality? 😂😂😂😂
Clearly this was the early forties, nazi it was !
What is the name of the beautiful song and singer please?
I don't know who the singer is, but the song is "All the Things You Are", recorded by Ella Fitzgerald among others. It was written just before the war for a show. Michelle Le Grand preceded his score with it.
I am little bit confused. Which ship they are sailing on? Either s/s Normandie 15:05 or s/s Queen Mary 19:15?
Can help to upload the last part? Thanks.
Here you go th-cam.com/video/P6X6eHgjYc0/w-d-xo.html
Great film to see how non French massacre the French language.
Zach Galligan character is not in the book. Aaron Spelling capitalizing on his hotness/popularity.
