I watch the video and I understand that these awesome media players have a CPU-based operating system which I'm sure is a Linux-based operating system so guess is the OS open so The owners of these media players could possibly add their own features such as filters

First of all Denon and Pioneer NOT! even on the same page. Anyone who came from turntables won't even look at pioneer. All this industry standard stuff is BULLSHIT industry standard was a moving platter and DENON has ruled that category for years. Also all these so called DJs djing with 4 pioneers lined up next to each other and only using 2 is hilarious....DENON wins in this section to 2 players = 4 decks save yourself some space and money go with DENON and live the life of a true DJ. Think about it if you really care for this craft and you came from vinyl this is the only choice...not a chunk of FISHER OVER PRICE plastic pioneer gear. So let's be realistic let's make a moving platter the industry standard with the perks of Wifi, multi decks in one, 3USB ports, 1SD and wait for it .....a 1TB internal HD... AND NO COMPUTER OR LAPTOP that's industry standard to me.

inMusic is the conglomerate that owns Numark, Denon, RANE, Akai, Alesis, and a few others. They have been hard on Pioneers heels for years trying to break into the "industry standard" marketing wank. They had a good thing a decade ago with the SC3900; of which I have two. But, they followed too much in the big P's footsteps; used too much plastic and a small dot matrix screen. I'm glad to see they are finally stepping up and innovating. However, you won't see products under the Denon brand competing with the likes of the DJS-1000. Those types of products are usually under the Akai brand; such as the MPC Force. Although, I think they are going to have to get us a 6 stereo channel + 4 mono channel mixer ala the Allen & Heath 464 to stand up to the DJM-V10. This should come in under the Denon or the RANE branding most likely.

Am I the only one who would like a version with smaller screens?! Other than that these players seem so much better than the Pioneer stuff I own, especially for the price...

    • @djkit

People in the comments are ignoring all the issues the prime and engine series stuff has been having... Features vs reliability is the industry is slow to evolve.
Talk to me about reliability and support Denon. Bells and whistles don't mean as much to the real working DJ. Reliability is everything.

I see Denon like Tesla, they are pushing the boundaries to improve DJ gear faster and better. Pioneer stills believing that diesel and gasoline are the future...

  • @jamiealite

Denon needs to fix how fast the tracks load. I have the prime 4 only have 120,000 tracks on it and it’s slow as molasses at loading

    • @djkit
      @djkit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Are your tracks pre analysed? Perhaps it's taking a while to load as it's analysing the tracks on the P4 as you load?

  • @seanmorgan6749

Denon Prime series are media players for DJs who made suggestions in the past and ask Denon and Pioneer to push the limit. Pioneer reply was a plastic media player with a BIG $2000.00 plus tag on it that doesn't do anything out of the ordinary. You can't do remixes on the fly without another piece of pioneer gear that cost anywhere from $600 to $1000. So I'm convinced Pioneer goal is just shut up and pay for the industry standard...because everybody seems to think that's the main focus. Industry standard to me is the vinyl feel and a moving platter. Now lets talk about Denon approach to what DJs ask of them...
    1. They made it universal with other dj software other then Engine WiFi and streaming ability
    2. They made it well built...meaning very little plastic unlike FISHER OVER PRICE PIONEER
    3. They made it with plenty inputs 3USB, 1SD and HOLY SH!T a 1TB internal Harddrive 2 players in 1. Pioneer makes you get 4 players because it looks good when they know you only need 2
    4. They made it with a moving platter and without you have a choice with Denon not 16 different players with the only difference being 2 buttons and every letter in the alphabet infront of CDJ example the NEW Pioneer MNCVDFSRWDA-CDJ $4199.99 ea. Lol pioneer only care about how much can we get if we add 1 extra button.
    5. Most IMPORTANT They CRUSHED PIONEER once again with a player who will make people who respect the DJ world keep it hands on and not depend on laptops.
Just for the record if a toy feeling piece of plastic is the industry standard then Technics SL-1200s and vinyl records must be a fairytale like flying unicorns over rainbows. Look Denon kill pioneer all across the board and been doing so with the moving platter because once again that's industry standard come on guys anyone who played vinyl knows what looks better in a DJ booth. So to all DJs who like to experiment on the fly do remixes LIVE....then own a player that's capable of updates to keep you waaaayyyy ahead of the competition(Pioneer) a media player built like a tank big beautiful touch screen REAL vinyl feel. Its only one choice Denon Prime SC6000M or SC6000. Make the right choice and go with someone who listens to the DJ world DENON! Peace
