I alway like to see what models you have acquired each month. The red Jeep with the yellow conveyor on the back takes me right back to my childhood days, I had one of those and played with it loads. I'm hoping to send you another model shortly when I'm caught up with the farm work, it's just my way of supporting your channel and thanking you for sharing your skills and knowledge with us. All the very best. Peter.
Hi Martin,What a lovely collection. There are two that will look great restored. The Ford Mercury Courger and the Blue Oldsmobile. The TV Truck looks great.Martin I have been watching on Netflex Rust Valley Restorations,They have a Ford Mercury Courger that they restored from three cars.I only watched this this weekend and it turned out great.Just seeing your Dinky Courger it would be great to see your model painted same colour .Green metallic. I never was into Ford Mercury Courger however watching the Nexflex show I have fell in love with this car.The Oldsmodile will look like great in same colour ,and to top it of a Pontiac also in this body style.Sorry Martin I am going off the rails again in my dreams. Have a great day,I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
Hi Martin! Nice lot of cars from the May purchases. The BBC ladder truck looks interesting. I look at many of these in this condition and think, "no way"... but then you do your magic on them and they come out looking brand new. I'll be dialled in for each new video. Take good care now! 🍁
Ah nice, more goodies to place play with! 👍🏻 Cool Martin 😎 Great projects to come! I have that Corgi Olds in mint, same colour. That Couger will look nice done up. Cheers bud 😎🇨🇦
Hi Martin. The Mercury Cougar floats my boat from that batch. Beautiful car. The Range Rover looks good too. Pretty rare to get those with both bits of the tail gate assembly present. I did one in the 70s mustard type colour and it came up very well. Look forward to seeing those reborn. Beat wishes mate...Mike
Martin, awesome lot, love the Cougar, Oldsmobile, and the variation of the bbc van ,hope you can use the taxi ,thank you for the mention mate ,looking forward to see the restoration videos
Slim pickings maybe Martin but quality over quantity - there's some beauties in that wee collection. Nice to see you getting some sets together too, makes collecting that much more interesting.👍👌😁 Cheers for now, Dougie.
Hi Martin nice little collection of projects there I have one of those superior ambulances in my modest collection of cars waiting to be done. Looks like I'm no1 comment whoo who I even beat Mr thumbs down lol. Can't wait for the Wednesday day video always the highlight of my week. I'm working on the gearbox tomorrow I'll send you some progress pics and list of injury's for the day lol. Stay safe mate.👍
Thank you for the shout out. Very welcome to both. Did like your wee stash. The golden Jack's Corvette is eluding me at mo. Either the price is 2 high or the postage is overseas import & OTT. The Oldsmobile is poss a nice compromise cos of the rotating headlamps. If memory recalls, the Morris J had Capstan ciggies advertised. Not seen them on Ebay.
@@martindaredare gussing the paint work is remedied easy enough, provided the casting is halfway decent. No idea if the roof panel is available. Guess leave one off till you can get the other
Love the Golden Jacks too Martin. Theres also a very smart 2 tone Rolls Royce to look out for in either pearl white & blue or silver & blue. Corgi were due to release a lot more (Lambo, Ferrari Dino, Pontiac Firebird) but they caved to the competition & put those horrid plastic wheels on in stead.
Thanks for that information, funny I just nabbed the roller last night of ebay need restoration but complete. Just need the Camaro and the Marco's. I saw a picture of the Lamborghini not sure how many thay made . All the best martin
Do you know I can watch you and listen to you, you tell it as it is if it goes wrong you say so. We are all human we all make mistakes. Love watching the way it comes in and the finish you get on the paint work. Fancy doing my front bumper. Know you had problems with the eye, but your lines so true. I put tape on it still gets under. The last one you did you scraped the high Chrome parts I have been trying to use the liquid chrome pen my fingers and eye sight work in different ways, you did that bit and I thought O Poo made so easy. That is the thing do watch others you have the edge on them. If your away in van over weekend have a nice time. Cheers👍👍
Thanks Bob for your kind words. I do use a chrome pen on occasion, iam not a big fan but it does have its uses. Scraping the long body lines is worth giving a try practice on old castings. I will try and do a demo on film . All the best martin
Hello Martin great video enjoy your channel.looking forward to seeing the video on the Morris j capstan van l have had one of these for about 2 years just waiting for restorer to make a video.done the post office one. . If you google the capstan van you will see they are not very good on the paint work on the dark blue. Got the transfer s and paint just need to see how it is done.Hope you and your family are keeping well regards Glyn
nice bunch of projects. :) I have the Cougar in mint and boxed, and surprisingly cheap... something like 50 euros. and the conveyor jeep, which is of course, missing the belts. and the gear cover. I hope you can find the belts, I'd like to have them for mine, too. it looks a bit sad that way. ;)
The belts are available on Ebay. Or you can go straight to Steve Flowers model-supplies. Belts are for the GS64. Think you can get replacement plastic gear cover
@@ianhow100 oh, of course. haven't been looking at model-supplies for a while now, as I don't have enough time to start with any project, myself. thanks for the hint. :)
@@lotharrenz4621 No worries Bud. The place to find it when your ready. Price is £7:35. That's p&p inclusive. Maybe a bit more if you need the gear cage as well
That's the one I was trying to remember thanks for that ,I managed to get the rolls Royce last night of ebay ,so we are down to getting the Camaro, mini Marco's, so iam on the hunt All the best martin
Nice few models to restore there Martin. That Oldsmobile Tornado looks like a good one to do and the Mercury Cougar (l say this aslm a fan of American and Aussie muscle cars lol)
Hey, Martin! Before I start watching your video...just wanted to mention that I was able to locate some of those ''nail file sanding boards'' you mentioned in your last video. Thanks, buddy! I haven't tested them out as yet...I'll let you know how it goes. Stay safe. Marty
You need a 1.5 mm drill to drill down the centre of the mushroom then a drill the same size or slightly bigger to remove the mushroom, remove the base then with a 2.5mm drill bit drill slowly down the centre of the post to the depth of the replacement rivet.. I hope this helps All the best martin
Great purchases and top donations you have there Martin. Good things are coming up ❤️😊👍
Thanks Johnny, I appreciate you watching my friend.
