    @bowelstrouble, I'm a confirmed Lutheran and have read this man's autobiography. He is not phony, this is a thoughtful man dedicated to God of love and compassion. It is absolutely beyond my comprehension how anyone could find trouble in this words of this lecture. The message here is not just one of tolerance and respect for others that are different but also unites humanity in love and compassion. How you can say that is no good ... As a Christian I pray for you.
    Thank you for posting this.

    Just as an ant cannot fathom the intricacies of human civilization, similarly a person limited by his/her own experiences cannot access the pure purpose of the great souls who help others to remember the purpose of life and serve God.
    Also, the scriptures of all authentic religions mention that the world is simply the mirror of our own consciousness. Thank you very much for posting this wonderful and illuminating video.

    Also, I found a quote by the founder of ISKCON, A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami, who is the Guru of Radhanath Swami, who said "Religion without philosophy is sentiment, or sometimes fanaticism, while philosophy without religion is mental speculation." You can find this quote in the purport of Bhagavad Gita As It Is Chapter 3 Verse 3....He explains further, if you want to check it out...I think if you google it, you'll be able to find the whole purport...=]

    even-mindedness amid pleasant and unpleasant events; constant and unalloyed devotion to Me; aspiring to live in a solitary place; detachment from the general mass of people; accepting the importance of self-realization; and philosophical search for the Absolute Truth -- all these I declare to be knowledge, and besides this whatever there may be is ignorance.

    I leaned from this lecture that:
    We need to recognize our master-Lord though he is in different country, dress or has a different name.True religion is to reconnect our self to God & get the happiness & share with others.
    Purpose of life is to love god and that is what is taught by each religion. Essence of religion is Transform our consciousness showing compassion to all.
    Very fundamental which i was searching to know and understand since last 20-25 yrs.

    As for hell, I have found shockingly clear description:
    That people who want to serve to others are getting to higher reality. That people who want to use others are going to hell where they can fulfil there wishes! So going to hell is just our own idea, not punishment. But as hell is the place where everyone wants to use each other it is really not a pleasant place to be. And the only use of it is to understand our real nature and wishes.

      In Garuda Purana, and also in Bhagavata Purana canto 5 chapter 26 www.vedabase.com/en/sb/5/26 there's a clear description of the lower planes. They are neither just an idea nor a pleasant place to be.

    When you said that, I thought to find something relative in the Bhagavad Gita As It Is...Krishna says: BG 13.8-12: Humility; pridelessness; nonviolence; tolerance; simplicity; approaching a bona fide spiritual master; cleanliness; steadiness; self-control; renunciation of the objects of sense gratification; absence of false ego; the perception of the evil of birth, death, old age and disease; detachment; freedom from entanglement with children, wife, home and the rest; continued...

    philosophy is largely just speculation, but the keys to finding truth are inside all of us and eventually logic, philosophy, and passion will lead one to truth and spirituality. Religion is nothing more than believing in something because someone told you to and performing a bunch of silly rituals.

    If you are really interested in knowing about Radhanath Swami, then read his book, see if you can catch him when he is in town, check out his other videos...Otherwise, we could go back and forth all day, and it wouldn't really get us anywhere...If you are trying to determine if he is real or fake just by his speech pattern, well....good luck with that...Hare Krishna! =]

    My biggest question is: If god is all loving why does he send people to hell?

  • @shashankm1403
    @shashankm1403 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    Its a good question. But the situation is to be conceived in a different way.It's not that God is cruel but by sending people to hell (and how ever hell is not permanent, its just like a jail.... sentenced for few years for the mistake...meant to suffer the mistake and make other people afraid in doing any in future )....but its rather you who is choosing to go to Hell....just like a good government doesnt want to put a citizen in jail.but its the citizen committing mistake and choosing jail..

    well im not going to put down any religion......but i personally don't practice religion, i live within the means of my spirituality, perfect is not the key to my life, because the flesh says we can't be perfect...and if we could be perfect, what would we need god for.............people wake up to the mind body and soul and bring them into unison.......

  • @NoTrueFace1
    @NoTrueFace1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    that's not what fake means.
    and though i've seen this kind of attitude many times before I've never seen it in a child. kindness is not the point. when i want to sound kind i don't have ten second dramatic pauses after every sentence

  • @Daredevil324
    @Daredevil324 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    I apologize...Fake means to say something and do another, and you can check out for yourself what he is doing on his website, Radhanath swami dot com(Google it)...Also, it cannot be designed to impress if that is simply who he is and has been since he was a child(this is probably the reason as well)...A very contemplative and thoughtful person who speaks with a lot of kindness and consideration...He is quite impressive though...=]

  • @Daredevil324
    @Daredevil324 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do not be so quick to judge, it really does nobody any good...Listen to what he is saying...Can you not see that he is simply trying to bring about love and unity, unconditionally...

  • @NoTrueFace1
    @NoTrueFace1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    well that's perhaps part of the problem. has he embraced a drunkenness of love? is he so set on loving everything that he can't see that some things shouldn't be loved?
    and you answer none of my questions.

  • @NoTrueFace1
    @NoTrueFace1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    This sort of solemn pious attitude, the excess of long dramatic pauses....what is the reason for it? this and other attitudes that we see only in religion, what are they? are they fake? designed to impress? or are they real? If they are real, are they good or are they merely the result of obsession with one idea to the point of becoming drunken with emotion? Perhaps I just don't understand, but I prefer that a person speak to me as a person with the full range of human feelings.

  • @NoTrueFace1
    @NoTrueFace1 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    you say "fake or real" as if it's such a black and white thing, as if he's either a prophet or a demon. I'm not thinking along those lines at all. I merely wonder if there is some aspect of something wrong in it. A good man can still have his weaknesses and a wise man can still in some ways be blind.
    To be honest, I'm not really interested in learning about him. I much prefer his philosophy to the usual religions, but it doesn't strike me as divine truth

    dude the scriptures try to explain something but fail to explain anything. The scriptures were written by people who imagined the world "to be" according to their time.
    Now science explains things better. Those scriptures were relevant for their time. Check the Prabhupadas view on women. harekrishnawomen.wordpress(dot)com/about/

    Radhanath Swamy is wrong in saying that there is communal hatred between Hindus and Muslims in India. There is no such thing.
    This man had witnessed the worst communal clash in Mumbai when a right wing party of goons had attacked and killed muslims. Hence that impression stuck to this man's mind. Had he travelled more and seen more of India he would have realized that there is no hatred.
    I guess everybody has his/her prejudices and this is Swamy's prejudice.

    Unfortunately this "swami" is not following the instructions of Srila Prabhupada to the misfortune of his followers. Sentimentalists may like this but those who know what Srila Prabhupada's desires are,reject this man as not a sadhu. Please find out for your own good what these deviations are . Hare Krishna.

    if it takes so little for You to make such a judgement about him by the way he talks, I feel sorry for you because I dare not to think what boils your mind when someone sneezes or laughs or does anything the way he/she does
