It’s a must do attraction for us!
One of my most favorite rides! My wife and son...not-so-much. A couple of years ago we started a tradition where the last full day of our trip, I'll get up early and head to the Magic Kingdom for a solo morning. It's usually an extra magic hours day and I get there as soon as they start letting folks in. The rest of the family sleeps in and we meet up once they're up and ready. I always make sure to hit It's a Small World since they give me a hard time about it.
One of my favorites at Disneyland, and, to borrow a reference to your family's opinion on the ride at all, not-so-much when it comes to the Magic Kingdom's, if only due to the smaller facade.
I was actually one of the children who recorded this song. The American choir was not from Burbank, but from Long Beach. We were the International Children's Choir and participated in the "It's a Small World Days" in January for the first few years after the ride was installed at Disneyland. Thanks for sharing your ride through. I'm guessing the music is copyrighted, so you couldn't use it in your video.
Wow, Kathy! That is awesome info! What a cool experience AND legacy! A lot of times TH-cam's robots will catch copyrighted background music right away, sometimes it will flag you a month later, and other times there so much ambient noise that it can't track it at all. With this ride, our staff felt it was best to not even take the chance on having the video blocked. I'll admit...it's frustrating to do a video about an ear worm without actually hearing the ear worm! LOL

Such a fun video. We always ride it when we go, but it's never a priority. I still love this ride for all it represents.

It’s my 3 year old’s favorite ride. He sees pictures of it and tells me he wants to go there. Luckily we are going back this weekend.

I was a Disney child before MGM studios. I used to loop this ride 3 or 4 times in a row and the wait was always short. I sadly waited way too long in the standby line two summers ago.
Small world is one of my favorite relaxing nap rides. Along with Carousel of Progress and Philharmagic

i still remember that one time in 2016 when wer rode it's a small world in the magic kingdom and there was a boat jam when we were in the last room with the singing dolls and for a while (im sure less than an hour but more than 5 minutes) i had to put up with hearing the song the dolls were singing >_
The best one is Disneyland's/California and Disneypark/Paris one
