That is so awesome! Unfortunately, most people only see that these vintage buses are now used as 'homes'. So glad that you are sticking to you dream and keeping it a 'working' vehicle!

Very cool video! I worked at a bus co in the 80's and we had two 1979 MC9s both 8V71 with 4-speed manuals. The interiors looked like the interior on your bus. We had some newer 5-speeds too but always loved driving those 4-speeds. The speedometers were color coded for each gear so you could easily see the max speed in each gear, this came in handy with a loud school group where you couldn't always hear the engine lol, the later speedos did not have this. A lot of fun we had back then. I also remember Allstate Tours with those pink buses and we saw them all the time on the road, not surprised they got the first one.

The MC9 was hands down a favorite of mine, it sadden me when they started replacing them with the MC102’s and then the MC12’s. Glad to see you back, handsome as ever and a huge congratulations to the two of you on the arrival of your precious baby. You both are going to be great Dads. Let your major blessing and adventure begin. Take care guys and be well. Operator Simpkins, Lorain, Ohio 32 years of service at Greyhound and private charter companies.
