    hi mate. Another great video and good to hear your thoughts on FS 2020. As a fellow triple screen simmer, I completely agree on not having multi monitor capability is a pain and as such I too will stay with X-plane until MS decide to update their software. The ability to configure your plane with just wing views, remove parts etc to provide full immersion is too good to ignore in X-plane just for the sake of nice visuals in FS 2020. Keep up the great work...

      I gave up on it for now. Going to need a much more powerful rig but more than that, XP allows so much more configuration with a joystick, camera views (X-Camera) and the planes I use are well beyond what's offered in MSFS. But MS has a lot of time to work this out but then so does XP. For now, I still love XP even though the eye candy isn't up to this level.

    Everyone gets the stutter. I don’t think it’s hardware.
    I agree with your assessment but you use nicer words than me. I’m still using X-Plane mostly. I still hope the hardware compatibility gets better so that any mainstream hardware works and the you can calibrate the ranges. My yoke isn’t centered in fs2020 and I can’t find a way to fix it. They definitely push you to buy the honeycomb but that just won’t cut it.

      If anyone of you would look up info or know anything about games. Flight sim 2020 is made for future hardware this game is made to last 10years minimum. So the game was built with to much stuff for current gen parts to handle at high fps and stable. So yes its your hardware not the game.

      Y E Hardware controls are not related to frames per second. Don’t buy into the hype. It’s only advanced in flight modeling and graphical overlay. I’m getting the same fps with X-Plane. And any game. There’s no argument. It must be fixed or it it’s incomplete.

    • @birreboi

      @Evan Hill The video explained how to do it. Basically, this sim currently does not support multi monitors, but if you use NVIDEA graphic cards, you can use their multiple monitors setup. I admit MSFS-2020 looks very impressive, but I'm going to stick with X-Plane for now. I don't want to upgrade my system just yet. I run Ubuntu Linux, and X-Plane supports Linux really well. MSFS only runs on Microsoft operating systems, and I doubt that will change. I've read X-Plane 12 will have scenery improvements, but I don't yet know what those improvements will be. Hopefully Laminar Research will be able to compete with Microsoft in a meaningful way going forward. I really don't like monopolies. I think it's important for the flight simulator market to have a choice.

    • @crooker2
      @crooker2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I run fs2020 on a moderate system. I7, GTX 980ti,and it runs fine on medium. You don't need a monster system if you don't need to run at ultra all the time.
      It flies great. Not sure how it will handle VR, however.

    Out of the 10.000 fs2020 video's on TH-cam this was the one I was waiting for. About 1 month ago your setup had inspired me to build something similar for the upcoming fs2020. I was a little disappointed when it came out that the intended setup wasn't possible yet.
    I'm half-way of the desired set-up with one 49" tv and 2 empty side tables. Buying the other 2 TV's is on hold whilst I'm waiting for real multi monitor support from Microsoft . I also have two 15,6" touchscreen's for the glass cockpit that I intended to use with air manager.
    Should you have any updates regarding a real multi monitor support or air manager in FS2020 please consider a new video about that... I think these 2 topics are the main issues for home cockpit builders. Anyway, thanks for sharing your videos, knowledge and experience and being such an inspiration!

The only difference in my setup is I have a few different hardware stuff. But close enough to copy your setup pretty close. Thanks for all the hard work and videos! I do have a CNC machine do building panels is an easy thing for me to do. I’ll try your multi ipad setup as well. I built a couple of DIY knobsters as well. Currently I have 2 21.5 ASUS touchscreens in my panel using Raspberry PI’s as Air Players for the monitors and those work extremely well. I would have never thought of some of your setup so again thank you for all that hard work! Now if we could just get these FAA certified! I consider my setup to be 10X better then the RedBird I have to use for IFR currency and pay 65.00 per hour for!

    FS2020 is a great simulator... But they've really snubbed the simulator community with their lack of hardware support.
    Seems like they really wanted to push it out and hit the gaming community first before working on hard core sim support.
    OH well... We know they're working on it. I'm just waiting for VR support to see how well that goes.

      @sciencecompliance235 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The sim community is so niche, especially when you're talking about something like MFS, which isn't really a _real_ simulator like the kind used to train pilots. I get why they'd court the larger gaming market for launch.

      @@JoeSmoe1 As a gamer (not a simmer), I am blown away by FS2020. Even with my low low system specs (older i7, GTX 980ti), I am getting a GREAT visual experience on medium with smooth 50fps. Nope... it's not ultra, but it's perfectly satisfying for me. There is (pardon the pun) only UP for FS2020. Can't wait to see some new addon aircraft and freecraft.

    I got the MSFS 2020, and I'm using my laptop. I had to reduce the resolution to make it run pretty much smooth. I can't expend the money in a similar equipment you have for more computer power. But I admire what you did, still some minors adjustments but looks great. I also had a Microsoft Force Feedback Sidewinder 2 that I also customized to make it works. The only problem is to control the elevator which when I am about to land bumps to much up and down.
    In a future I will do what you already did. Thank

    I built up a cockpit with 3 screens. Then in front fitted three mdf cutout panels as windows to hide the screen joints, mounted 2 inches from the screens.. Used some cheap ikea picture frame perspex to glaze the windows. Give a nice 3d effect when you move your head.
