There is no tide on Earth
With the exception of Galileo, all scientists throughout history mistakenly believed that tides were caused by the moon's gravity.
In fact, tides are an illusion of coastal movement in a flat ocean, caused by the thermal expansion of the Earth's crust caused by moving sunlight.
Nothing outside the Earth can touch or move the ocean water. Only moving objects, such as wind, marine life, ships, and the seafloor, can contact and move seawater, creating waves or tides.
If, as scientists say, the Moon's gravity creates two bulges of water on the far and near sides of the Earth, and these bulges of water move around the Earth causing tides, then there should be two highest bulges near the equator 12 hours apart moving westward at a speed of 1,000 m/h.
Why do tides only occur on the coast and not in the ocean? Why do different coasts experience one, two, or four tides per day, ranging in height from 0 to 50 feet, and moving in different directions at different speeds?
To prove that tides are an illusion, we set up a laser beam on a pier at the east end of the Bay of Fundy, pointing it parallel to sea level and toward a target on the west shore. Observations of this target were made at high and low tide. If tides were changes in sea level, the two targets would be the same. Otherwise, tides are an illusion of coastal seafloor moving over a flat ocean due to periodic thermal expansion of the Earth's crust.
      www.noaa.gov/ocean/fundy-max
The article and pictures show that, at the same time, high tides reached 20 feet on the west side of the Bay of Fundy and 50 feet on the east side.
This fact proves that tides in the Bay of Fundy are the product of thermal expansion of the Earth's crust.
It is clear that during thermal expansion, sea level did not change, but the land on the east side of the Bay of Fundy rose by 50 feet, while the land on the west side of the Bay of Fundy rose by only 20 feet.
The diameter of the Earth is 8000 miles. thermal expansion of the crust moves some coasts up and down 50 feet in flat ocean is reasonable.

The tides on shore can be many feet high, but out in the open ocean, the water only rises between 9 to 12 inches max. It is the huge volume of water moving towards shore that makes high tides so high

@Science Revolution So if its cloudy there are no tides? And I didnt realize you could have thermal expansion on only the landmass and somehow not the liquid adjacent to it, thats magical.
Also illusion is used incorrectly here, its supposed to be an incorrect interpretation of the senses, however your conclusion is that there is a tangible measurable affect, thats not what an illusion is.
Also go to a beach, there will be two tides in 24 hours.

@Science Revolution holy fuck! You are evil!
If tides are due to thermal expansion of soil due to the heat of sun then how can you explain tides at night.
Water has greater coefficient of thermal expansion that soil. Why did you ignored the expqnsion of water.
Sunlight falls directly on the surface of the soil amd water and the heat is transmitted throughout the soil and water by means of conduction. The thermal conductivity of both water and soil is very low.
So this cause a slight expqnsion at the surface area not the whole volume.
There are many falacitical arguments in your statements. Im not going to response to all.
And by the way, Scientific Truth doesn't depend upon the scientists, it depends upon the scientific methodology.
And we do not prove by disrespect, we disprove by respect.

@1:30 Just a quick note of clarification: the gravitational force from the moon doesn't lift an object as it is weaker than the Earth's. Even if it was only slightly weaker, it still wouldn't lift anything. The force would be contributing towards cancelling the normal force from the reaction to the Earth's gravitational force, thus objects would just feel lighter. Objects would fall with less acceleration. Objects such as water particles would only rise if the moon's gravitational force was stronger at the Earth's surface.
    Thanks for your great videos!

    • @Higgsinophysics

ohh see, Sorry i misunderstood your question - It's a good question! I haven't looked into that, but I think it's the same answer - water is easily "moved" so it can have a tidal difference of 16 meters some places - but the crust is much more rigid and so the effect is weaker. But I'm not sure

Yes they are, you understand correctly. An upward vertical component of 1/10,000,000th of a g doesn’t have a noticeable effect, when there’s one g pulling downward. But tangential components do accumulate over distance.

How much of the tidal effect is due to the "squeezing" action of the vertical forces, vs. the "stretching " action of the horizontal forces?
If the gravitational field was only in the x-direction, how much bulging will we get? The reason I ask this question is that in your example of the black hole tearing apart the person, the image is mostly one dimensional but definitely the tidal effect is there.
I imagine 3 masses connected by springs falling vertically in a gravitational field. This is a one dimensional problem. I am not sure if I need a vertical "squeeze" effect to explain the bulges.

    • @DrDeuteron
      @DrDeuteron 3 ปีที่แล้ว

the squeeze is 1/2 the amplitude of the stretch, but it acts in 2 transverse dimensions so the total volume change is zero. aka: the tidal tensor is traceless.

The center of mass in the Earth-Moon system, also known as the barycenter, is located within Earth itself. It lies about 4,671 km (2,902 miles) from Earth's center, which is approximately 75% of Earth's radius on the moon side.
While it seems like the Moon orbits Earth, both the Earth and Moon actually orbit this common center of mass. However, because the Earth is much more massive than the Moon, the barycenter is located closer to Earth's center, causing the Earth to wobble slightly as it orbits the barycenter.
This means that the elliptical path we generally attribute to Earth's orbit around the Sun is actually the orbit of the barycenter of the Earth-Moon system. So you would observe the earth wobble about the barycenter the side opposite the moon is traveling faster around the barycenter and thus it is centrifugal force that is causing the bulge opposite the moon in about the same magnitude as the moon facing side.

Einstein never nearly understood physics/physical experience. The fact that the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches it's revolution is not some meaningless coincidence. That is OBVIOUS. Here are the facts.
WHY AND HOW E=MC2 IS NECESSARILY AND CLEARLY F=MA ON BALANCE:
Energy has/involves GRAVITY, AND ENERGY has/involves inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE. C4 is the proof of the fact that E=mc2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE. This explains the fourth dimension. TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual IN BALANCE, AS E=MC2 IS F=MA ON BALANCE; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity !!! The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. E=MC2 IS F=ma. ("Mass"/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity.) The EARTH/ground AND what is THE SUN are CLEARLY (on balance) E=MC2 AS F=ma. TIME dilation ULTIMATELY proves ON BALANCE that E=MC2 IS F=ma IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity !!! (Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy.) The sky is blue, AND THE EARTH is ALSO BLUE. The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. E=MC2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE. Great !!! This NECESSARILY represents, INVOLVES, AND DESCRIBES what is possible/potential AND actual IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. GRAVITATIONAL force/ENERGY IS proportional to (or BALANCED with/as) inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/ENERGY IS GRAVITY. Gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity !!! (This ALSO perfectly explains why the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches it's revolution.) It all CLEARLY makes perfect sense. BALANCE AND completeness go hand in hand. Stellar clustering ALSO proves ON BALANCE that ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma. INDEED, HALF of the galaxies are "dead" or inert; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity; AS E=MC2 IS F=ma ON BALANCE.
Gravity AND ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy are linked AND BALANCED opposites, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity !! IMPORTANT !! Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. Consider the man who is standing on what is THE EARTH/ground. Touch AND feeling BLEND, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity; AS E=MC2 IS F=ma. "Mass"/ENERGY involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE consistent with/as what is BALANCED electromagnetic/gravitational force/ENERGY, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. Accordingly, objects fall at the SAME RATE (neglecting air resistance, of course). Moreover, a given PLANET (INCLUDING WHAT IS THE EARTH) sweeps out EQUAL AREAS in equal times consistent WITH/AS E=MC2, F=ma, AND what is perpetual motion; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity; AS gravity/acceleration involves BALANCED inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE; AS E=MC2 IS F=ma. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky. Therefore, it is correct that the planets will (very, very, very slightly) move AWAY (ON BALANCE) from what is THE SUN !! Moreover, I have ALSO CLEARLY explained the cosmological redshift AND the "black holes". GRAVITATIONAL force/energy is proportional to (or BALANCED with/as) inertia/INERTIAL RESISTANCE, AS E=MC2 IS F=ma; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is gravity. NOW, ON BALANCE, carefully consider what is THE SUN. Very importantly, outer "space" involves full inertia; AND it is fully invisible AND black. SO, again, it ALL does CLEARLY make perfect sense; AS BALANCE AND COMPLETENESS go hand in hand. Gravity IS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy. E=MC2 IS clearly F=ma on balance. GREAT !!!

Earth with water slows its revolving...
The water increased because of the melting of ice caps of polars and Himalayas, therefore the force of revolving increases too...

One thing I don’t understand...is why the forces are going away from the earth. I understand the gravitational force and the kind of "forward bulge" aka the bulge going towards the moon, by why is it creating an opposite bulge??? I believe because of inertia but I don’t fully understand.

The centre of gravity for both the moon and earth is far away from the centre of earth. While earth circles around the sun it is also circling around the centre of gravity with the moon. That causes centrifugal forces on the far side that cause a high tide on that side. There is no other reason.

I’ve realized that just with the title “Tidal Patterns”, its not easy to find they site I mentioned on my previous post.
What I had posted on that site was:
“Farther parts of the Earth are NOT SUFFICIENTLY attracted by the Moon in order to follow an orbit equal to the one of Earth´s C.M. (if they could move independently from the rest of the planet).
Due to that, they try to get a farther orbit.
They rest of they planet prevents that, exerting a "moonward" force. And those farther parts exert an opposite reaction force ...
All those forces stretch farther solid Earth´s parts, and where water they so called hide tide bulge builds, trying to reach an equilibrium with own Earth´s attraction (not fully achievable due to they daily Earth´s quick rotation, what also is the cause of the some couple of hours gap between high tide meridian and Moon´s actual position).
A "mirror" phenomenon happens at closer half of the Earth, because its parts are attracted by the Moon TOO MUCH for the average orbit, they try to get a closer orbit, but the rest of they planet prevents it ... “
And if anybody wants to see more about previous discussion, the link to mentioned TH-cam site is:

    Abstract :
The energy that dominates the earth is very great, some of it is natural, like the heat of the sun and volcanoes, and some of it is human action, by cutting down trees, without replacing them and cultivating in their place...
There are five forces that control or dominate the planet...
1- The first theory (horizontal dynamic movement) and its end...
The occurrence of storms, rain, floods and snow, at unexpected times and places, is because of the expiration of this theory, which needs to be balanced...
2- The second theory (vertical dynamic movement) and its end...
This movement or force controls or dominates the earthquakes, earth cracks, drying up of rivers and lakes, earth openings, mountain collapses, and the emergence of drinking water springs on the ground...
    It becomes out of control...
These phenomena increased due to the end of this theory...
The third theory: it is water that rotates the earth...
The fourth theory: the Earth's axis of rotation has tilted 2° degrees...
The fifth theory: The Earth has a new orbit...
These studies had completed and sent on July 26th 2000

so what i understand is that the far bulge of water, is because it lags behind? That doesn't make much sense however, as you said, the earth is not moving toward the earth, thus there is no lag

In the last animation: It shows that the tides are steady in these two spots and are not moving. So doesnt this animation shows that the tides are not moving and that there would always be either high or low tide in these specific places?

I think this model only works for a circle, if we think of a sphere then the bulge created by the vectors will be everywhere i.e. 360 degrees. That is why we will think about the centrifugal force formed by the Moon-Earth couple where the barycenter is not in the center of the Earth.

The difference of gravitational force of the moon 384,400km from the earth of 12,740 km in diameter is only 6% difference on opposite sides. This doesn't make the opposite side to have the same tide hight. It has been shown that the rotation of the earth is responsible for the symmetrical tide but no one to this date shown what is exactly the mechanism behind it.

It's because the Earth orbits the barycentre .This causes centrifugal force to add water to back side tidal bulge

    • @hugueslecorre4893
      @hugueslecorre4893 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@mikev4621 the centre of the wobbling rotation is situated on the opposite side of the moon. The centrifugal force pulling the liquid up then is higher on the moon side as the ratio of rotation is longer than the opposite side. This gives totally dissymetrical tides.
The problem with these wrong explanations is the use of Newtonia mechanics. In this mechanics, if you are sitting on a chair, you feel your butt smashed because your mass weight is pulled towards the planet with an acceleration of 9.81m/s². In Einstein's mechanics, you are pushed upwards by an ever expanding planet accelerating you 9.81m/s². In such 4 dimensional time space deformation that the true answer can be found.

@@hugueslecorre4893 The centrifugal force isn't "pulling the liquid up" ( your words) - it throws it outwards, away from the planet.

@@hugueslecorre4893 Do you honestly think the earth would go out of its way to meet a man who lost contact with his window washing platform ? Would it go out of its way to intercept birds flying above its surface? Do you know how much energy would be needed to deflect the earth out of its orbital plane to do any of that? What does the earth do when window washers on opposite of the earth fall off their platforms? does it spit apart in order to make Einstein right? Don't take Einstein literally- he meant that it is "as if " the earth was moving upwards, not that it actually is.

Still I don't understand one thing. As I understand the bulge closer to the moon should be bigger than the bulge further away from the moon, because of difference in gravity, yet your animation shows them as they are equal size. Did I miss anything?

It also does not explain the very small tides in the tropical area, where the incidence of Moon and Sun are stronger.

The Earth and the Moon are orbiting a point called the barycenter, it is the center of mass of both the objects. When this happens, the Earth experiences centripetal force, which causes the same tide effect.
