Ya Ayuhal lazina Amanu Taqullaha Wabtagu Illahil Waseela Al Quran : "Aye Imaan Walo ! Allah Se Daro Or Us Ki Teref Waseela Dhundo" (Soora Maida , Ayat 35)
1, [Ana`am 6:51] And with this Quran warn those who fear, that they will be raised towards their Lord in a state when, except Allah, there will be no protector for them nor an intercessor, so that they may be pious. 2, [Baqarah 2:48] And fear the Day (of Resurrection) when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will any intercession be accepted for the disbelievers, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation nor will they be helped. 3, [Baqarah 2:123] And fear the day when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation, nor will any intercession benefit the disbelievers, nor will they be helped. 4, [Baqarah 2:165] And some people create for themselves Gods (objects of worship) other than Allah, with devotion (love) equal to the devotion of Allah; and the believers do not love anybody with love equal to the love of Allah; and what will be their state, when the punishment will be before the eyes of the unjust (disbelievers)? For all power belongs wholly to Allah, and because Allah’s punishment is very severe.

دے ہمیں جو تو نے ہم سے رسولوں کے ذریعے وعدہ کیا، تو ہمیں رسوا نہ کرنا، بیشک تو وعدہ کے خلاف نہیں کرتا) النساء 17۔ 17۔ ۔ ۔ (اصل میں (قبولِ) توبہ اللہ ہی پر ہے ۔ ۔ ۔ ) 18۔ 45، 46 ۔ ۔ ۔ (اللہ تمہارے دشمنوں کو جانتا، اللہ ولی کافی، اللہ مددگار کافی | کچھ یہودی الفاظ کا ہیر پھیر کرتے ۔ ۔ ۔ ) 19۔ 48 (ماسوا شرک ہر گناہ کی مغفرت اللہ کی مرضی، شرک افتراءِ عظیم) 20۔ 64 تا 65 (بعد از ظلم تمہارے پاس اللہ سے مغفرت کیلئے آتے اور رسول بھی اُن کیلئے استغفارکرتے تو اللہ توّاب رحیم | تنازعات میں تمہاری مُنصفی بلاحرج تسلیم کرنے تک مومن نہیں) 21۔ 75 (کمزوروں کا اللہ سے حمایتی و مددگار مانگنے پر راہِ الٰہی میں لڑائی کیوں نہیں؟ ) المائدہ 22۔ 3 (مردار خون خنزیر غیر اللہ پکارا گیا حرام ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ پتھر کے آستانوں پر ذبیحہ حرام، آج کافر مایوس، اُن سے نہیں مجھ سے ڈرو، تم پر دین کامل، دین اسلام پسند، مگر مجبور تو اللہ غفور) 23۔ 35 (ایمان والو! فلاح پانے کو راہِ الٰہی میں وسیلہ اور جُہد) 24۔ 55 (تمہارے ولی تو اللہ، رسول ، مومن، نماز و زکٰوۃ والے،وہ جھکے رہتے) 25۔ 67 تا 69 (اے رسول! رب کا یہ نزول نہ پہنچایا تو رسالت ہی نہیں کی، اللہ تمہیں بچائے گا | کہو، اہلِ کتاب! Narrated Anas: Whenever drought threatened them, `Umar bin Al-Khattab, used to ask Al-Abbas bin `Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, "O Allah! We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah ! Bless us with rain."(1) And so it would rain.

For thee my master, by the Lord of the Worlds! na jinn o bashar ke ath pahar malayikah dar pe basta kamar na jib’ha o sar, ke qalb o jigar, hain sajdah kunan tumhare liye Not just men and jinn; but angels too throughout the day [and night] stand in your service It is not foreheads and heads that prostrate; but our hearts that fall down in reverence for thee! jinan mein chaman chaman mein saman; saman mein phaban, phaban mein dulhan sazaye mihan pe ayse minan ye amn o aman tumhare liye Gardens in paradise; and in those gardens are groves; and the groves are adorned and in those adornments are beautiful brides! Quran 39:3: "Absolutely, to God is the true system. And those who set up allies besides Him: "We only serve them so that they may bring us closer to God." God will judge between them in what they dispute. For God does not guide him who is a liar, a rejecter." Quran 12:106: "And most of them will not believe in God except while setting up partners." Quranists claim all intercession belongs to God and that the sole duty of the messenger is to deliver the message:[13] Quran 2:254: "O you who believe, spend from what We have provided for you before a Day comes when there is no trade, nor friendship, nor intercession; and the rejecters are the wicked." Quran 21:28: "He knows their present and their future, and they cannot intercede unless it is for those whom He is pleased with. And, from His concern, they are worried." Quran 10:18: "And they serve besides God what does not harm them or benefit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with God." Say: "Are you informing God of what He does not know in the heavens or the earth?" Be He glorified and exalted above what they set up." Quran 39:44: "Say: "To God belongs all intercession." To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you will be returned." Quran 13:40: "And if We show you some of what We promise them, or We terminate your life, then you are only to deliver while for Us is the reckoning." Quran 72:21: "Say: I have no power to harm you nor to show you what is right." Quranists also condemn the tawassul prayer, because mentioning other names or using intermediaries during prayer is forbidden in the Quran. According to the Quran the prayer should be dedicated to God and God alone and the dead cannot hear you: Quran 39:36: "Is God not enough for His servant? And they frighten you with others besides Him. And whoever God sends astray, then for him there will be no guide." Quran 39:45: "And when God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned besides Him, they rejoice!" Quran 20:14: "I am God, there is no god except Me, so serve Me and hold the contact prayer for My remembrance." Quran 41:6: "Say: I am no more than a mortal like you. It is inspired to me that your god is One god, therefore you shall be upright towards Him and seek His forgiveness. And woe to the polytheists." Quran 46:5: "And who is more astray than he who calls on others besides God that do not respond to him even until the Day of Resurrection? And they are totally unaware of the calls to them!" Quran 6:40,41: "Say: "We will see when the retribution of God comes to you, or the Hour comes to you, if you will still call on any other than God. If you are being truthful." "No, it is Him alone you will call on; and He will remove that which you called Him for, if He wills; and you will forget what you set up." Quran 22:62: "That is because God is the truth, and what they call on besides Him is falsehood. And God is the Most High, the Great." Quran 72:20: "Say: I only call on my Lord, and I do not set up anyone with Him." Quran 21:67: "I am fed up of you and to what you serve besides God! Do you not comprehend?" Quran 7:194: "Those whom you call on besides God are servants like you; so let them answer for you if you are truthful." Quran 10:66: "Certainly, to God belong all who are in the heavens and those who are on the earth. As for those who call on partners besides God, they only follow conjecture, and they only guess." Quran 10:106: "And do not call upon other than God what does not benefit you or harm you; if you do, then you are of the wicked." Quran 13:14: "To Him is the call of truth. And those who are called on besides Him, they will not respond to them in anything; like one who places his hands openly in the water to drink, except it never reaches his mouth. The call of the rejecters is nothing but in misguidance." Quran 35:22: "Nor equal are the living and the dead; God causes whoever He wills to hear; and you cannot make those who are in the graves hear."

I hav respect for all Islamic scholars and would like to say that after listening & reasoning,,, that EVEN if Dr.Zakir N. is wrong with this ONE point to say that waseela is haram,,we can say that waseela( by using someone not in this world) is Bidaa..BECAUSE we CANNOT bring any incident from the Holy Koran or Sahih Hadees where Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) or the Sahaabaas are clearing calling upon any dead prophet or person to pray for them....INSTEAD we find constantly in the Holy Koran,,Allah telling us to come towards Him,pray to him,ask favours from him DIRECTLY and even to find ways of nearness (waseela) to Allah....not by attaching any special formulas BUT by praying,fasting and following the laws of Allah...40:60,,3:150,,2:186,,4:32/45/69/123..etc..etc...Mr.E.Qadri and his type should call themselves Sufi Sunni bec pure Sunnis will not raise and decorate graves,they will not celebrate Milad un Nabi ,,a bidah ul hasnah,,celebrations which started during the Fatimid rule in Egypt.
Here are these There are 25 verses of Quran about prohibition of Waseelah as follows Prove is for who said 25 verses in the Holy Quran are not available WHAT ARE THOSE 25 VERSES OF QURAN WHICH REJECTS WASEELAH FOR THE BELIEVERS ? 1, [Ana`am 6:51] And with this Quran warn those who fear, that they will be raised towards their Lord in a state when, except Allah, there will be no protector for them nor an intercessor, so that they may be pious. 2, [Baqarah 2:48] And fear the Day (of Resurrection) when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will any intercession be accepted for the disbelievers, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation nor will they be helped. 3, [Baqarah 2:123] And fear the day when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation, nor will any intercession benefit the disbelievers, nor will they be helped. 4, [Baqarah 2:165] And some people create for themselves Gods (objects of worship) other than Allah, with devotion (love) equal to the devotion of Allah; and the believers do not love anybody with love equal to the love of Allah; and what will be their state, when the punishment will be before the eyes of the unjust (disbelievers)? For all power belongs wholly to Allah, and because Allah’s punishment is very severe. [Baqarah 2:166] (The day) when the leaders will be disgusted with their followers - and they shall see their punishment, and all their links will be cut off. [Baqarah 2:167] And the followers will say, "If we were to return (to earth), we would break off from them like they have broken off from us"; this is how Allah will show them their deeds as despair for them; and they will never come out from the fire (hell). 5, [Baqarah 2:254] O People who Believe! Spend in Allah's cause, from what We have provided you, before the advent of a day in which there is no trade, and for the disbelievers neither any friendship nor intercession; and the disbelievers themselves are the unjust. [Baqarah 2:255] Allah - there is no God except Him; He is Alive (eternally, on His own) and the Upholder (keeps others established); He never feels drowsy nor does He sleep; to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; who is he that can intercede* with Him except by His command? He knows what is in front of them and what is behind them; and they do not achieve anything of His knowledge except what He wills; His Throne (of Sovereignty) encompasses the heavens and the earth; and it is not difficult for Him to guard them; and He is the Supreme, the Greatest. (This Verse is popularly known as Ayat Al-Kursi. It has a special status and reciting it carries great reward. *Prophet Mohammed “peace and blessings be upon him “ will be the first one to be granted the permission to intercede, others will follow.) 6, [Ana`am 6:70] And forsake those who have made their religion a mockery and play, and whom the worldly life has deceived - and advise them with this Qur�an so that a soul may not be seized for what it earns; other than Allah it will not have a protector nor an intercessor; and if it offers every recompense in exchange for itself, it will not be accepted from it; these are the ones who are seized for their own deeds; for them is boiling water to drink and a painful punishment, as a recompense of their disbelief. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessors.) 7, [Ana`am 6:93] Who is more unjust than one who fabricates lies against Allah or says, I have received divine inspiration, whereas he has not been inspired at all - and one who says, I will now reveal something similar to what Allah has sent down? And if you see when the unjust are in the throes of death and the angels are with their hands outstretched; (saying) Surrender your souls; this day you shall be given a disgraceful punishment - the recompense of your fabricating lies against Allah, and your scorning His signs. [Ana`am 6:94] And indeed you (the disbelievers) have now come to Us alone as We had created you at first, and you have left behind you all the wealth and riches We had bestowed upon you; and We do not see your intercessors along with you, whom you claimed to possess a share in you; indeed the link between yourselves is cut off, and you have lost all what you contended. 8, [Yunus 10:1] Alif-Lam-Ra *; these are verses of the Book of wisdom. (*alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.) [Yunus 10:2] Are people amazed that We have sent to a man among them, the divine revelation that "Warn the people and convey glad tidings to the believers that for them with their Lord is the place * of truth"? The disbelievers say, "Indeed he is an open magician." (* Positions of honour on the Day of Resurrection or in heaven.) [Yunus 10:3] Indeed your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) , established Himself upon the Throne (of control) - He plans all matters; there is no intercessor except after His permission;* such is Allah, your Lord - therefore worship Him; so do you not ponder? ( * Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the first to be granted permission to intercede.) 9, [Yunus 10:18] And they worship the thing other than Allah, which neither harms them nor benefits them , and they say, "These are our intercessors * before Allah"; say, "What! You inform Allah of something which in His knowledge does not exist in the heavens or in the earth?" Purity and Supremacy are to Him, above their association. (* Some things like the sun, stars, trees are useful but they too are created by Allah. Their worship will not benefit - in fact it is harmful ** Only the virtuous will be granted permission by Allah to intercede.) 10, [Yusuf 12:40] "You do not worship anything besides Him, but which are merely names coined by you and your forefathers - Allah has not sent down any proof regarding them; there is no command but that of Allah; He has commanded that you do not worship anyone except Him; this is the proper religion, but most people do not know." 11, [Ibrahim 14:21] They will all publicly come in the presence of Allah - then those who were weak will say to those who were the leaders, "We were your followers - is it possible for you to avert some of Allah’s punishment from us?" They will answer, "If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you; it is the same for us, whether we panic or patiently endure - we have no place of refuge." (* This conversation will take place between the disbelievers and their leaders. [Ibrahim 14:22] And Satan will say when the matter has been decided, "Indeed Allah had given you a true promise - and the promise I gave you, I made it untrue to you; and I had no control over you except that I called you and you obeyed me; so do not accuse me, blame only yourselves; neither can I help you, nor can you help me; I have no concern with your ascribing me as a partner (to Allah); indeed for the unjust is a painful punishment." 12, [b/Israel 17:57] The devoted bondmen whom these disbelievers worship, themselves seek the means of proximity from their Lord, that who among them is the closest (to his Lord), and hope for His mercy and fear His punishment; indeed the punishment of your Lord is to be feared. 13, [Maryam 19:86] And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty. [Maryam 19:87] People do not own the right to intercede, except those * who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him - will be the first to intercede.) 14, [Ta-Ha 20:109] On that day no ones intercession shall benefit except his to whom the Most Gracious has given permission and whose word He has liked. (The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him - will be the first to intercede.) 15, [Ambiya 21:26] And they said, “The Most Gracious has chosen a son” - Purity is to Him! In fact they are honourable bondmen. [Ambiya 21:27] They do not speak before He has, and they act only at His command. 16, [Shua`ra 26:91] And hell will be revealed for the astray. [Shua`ra 26:92] And it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to worship?” [Shua`ra 26:93] “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” [Shua`ra 26:94] So they and all the astray were flung into hell. [Shua`ra 26:95] And all the armies of Iblis. (Satan) [Shua`ra 26:96] And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: [Shua`ra 26:97] “By oath of Allah , we were indeed in open error.” [Shua`ra 26:98] “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” [Shua`ra 26:99] “And none misled us but the guilty.” [Shua`ra 26:100] “So now we do not have any intercessors.” (The believers shall have intercessors, the disbelievers none). [Shua`ra 26:101] “Nor a caring friend.” [Shua`ra 26:102] “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” [Shua`ra 26:103] Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 16, [Qasas 28:62] On the day when He will call to them - He will therefore proclaim, “Where are those partners of Mine, whom you had assumed?” [Qasas 28:63] Those against whom the Word will have proved true will say, “Our Lord! It is these whom we led astray; we led them astray the way we ourselves went astray; we are unconcerned with them and we incline towards You - they never worshipped us!” [Qasas 28:64] And it will be said to them, “Call unto your ascribed partners” - so they will call unto them and they will not listen to them, and they will behold the punishment; if only they had obtained guidance! 17, [Saba 34:22] Proclaim, “Call those whom you assume (as Gods) besides Allah”; they do not own anything equal even to an atom either in the heavens or in the earth, nor do they have any share in them, nor is any one among them an aide to Allah. [Saba 34:23] And intercession does not benefit before Him, except for one whom He permits; to the extent that when the fear is removed from their hearts by giving permission, they say to each other, “How splendidly has your Lord spoken!” They say, “All that He has proclaimed is the Truth; and He is the Supreme, the Great.” 18, [Fatir 35:12] And the two seas are not alike; this is sweet, very sweet and palatable - and this is salty, bitter; and from each you eat fresh meat and extract the ornament which you wear; and you see the ship cleaving through it, so that you may seek His munificence, and in some way become grateful. [Fatir 35:13] He brings the night in a part of the day and He brings the day in a part of the night; and He has subjected the sun and moon; each one runs to its fixed term; such is Allah, your Lord - only His is the kingship; and those whom you worship instead of Him do not own even the husk of a date-seed. 19, [Yaa-Seen 36:22] “And what is the matter with me that I should not worship Him Who created me, whereas it is towards Him that you are to return?” [Yaa-Seen 36:23] “What! Shall I appoint Gods other than Allah? So that if the Most Gracious should wish me any harm, their intercession would be of no use to me, nor would they be able to save me?” 20, [Zumar 39:43] What! Have they chosen intercessors against Allah? Proclaim, “What! Even if they do not own anything nor have any intelligence?” [Zumar 39:44] Proclaim, “To Allah only* belongs all the intercession! For Him only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and then it is towards you have to return.” (*Allah does not intercede - He gives the permission to intercede with Him, to whomever He wills.) [Zumar 39:45] And when Allah the One God is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter get constricted; and when others (false deities) besides Him are mentioned, they rejoice! 21, [Momin 40:47] And when they will quarrel amongst themselves in the fire, those who were weak will say to those who sought greatness, “We were your followers, so will you reduce from us some of the punishment of the fire?” [Momin 40:48] Those who were proud will say, “We are all in the fire - indeed Allah has already passed the judgement among the bondmen.” 22, [Momin 40:73] It will then be said to them, “Where are the partners you used to appoint?” - [Momin 40:74] “As rivals to Allah?” ; they will say, “We have lost them - in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray. 23, [Najm 53:23] They are nothing but some names that you have coined, you and your forefathers - Allah has not sent any proof for them; they follow only guesses and their own desires; whereas the guidance from their Lord has come to them. 24, [Najm 53:26] And many an angel is in the heavens, whose intercession does not benefit the least unless Allah gives permission for whomever He wills, and whom He likes.

Karan Chandran Sometime while asking help from Allah muslims does charity or make some good deeds to get there prayer answered, these acts are called waseela(help) to get prayer answered but some ignorants who goes to Dargah, they take names of these dead people get there prayer answered which absolutely impermissible.

Waseela It is the belief of the Ahl-as-Sunnah that it is permissible to supplicate to Allah with the Tawasul of good deeds. It is permitted to supplicate with the Tawasul of a living pious person and it is also permitted to supplicate with the Tawasul of the deceased pious person. It is this belief that we shall prove in this chapter. (Insha’allah) The following is evidence that proves that it is permitted to seek the Waseela of the living and the deceased; Proof from the Qur’an Allah most High says in the Holy Qur'an: O you who Believe! Do your duties to Allah and fear Him seek the means of approach unto him, and strive (with might and main) in His cause so that you may prosper. (Surah Mai’dah verse 35, Surah 5) In this verse, Allah has informed us to seek ways of obtaining Waseela, a means to approach Him. Our Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), is our Waseela in this world and hereafter. Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Qur'an: Before that, they were asking for victory over the infidels by means of the same Prophet. Surah Baqarah verse 89 Imam Tabari, Hafidhh Ibn ul Qayyum al Jawzi, Hafidhh Ibn Kathir and Qadi Shawkani write that before the birth of the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), the Jews would make the Prophet, Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, a Waseela in their supplications, when asking Allah to defeat their enemies in battle. (Tafsir Ibn Jareer, Tafsir Ibn Kathir & Tafsir Fath ul Qadeer Shawkaani. Ibn Qayyum. Under, verse Baqarah 89 and Hadaya-tul-Hayara page 95 by Hafidhh Ibn Qayyum al Jawzi. Someone may object to this by saying that this was an act of the Jews, hence it cannot be used as evidence for Muslims. However, Allah has mentioned this event in the Qur'an and did not condemn this, therefore this demonstrates that if it were impermissable the Holy Qur'an would not have mentioned it, nor left it unremanded Proof from Hadith Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyyah writes: When Adam (Alay hissalaam) made a mistake, he made Du'a like this: ' O Allah forgive my mistake with the Waseela of Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace).Allah asked the Prophet Adam peace be upon him, (rhetorically) how he knew about Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) Adam, peace be upon him, answered “when you created me, I lifted my head and saw: (LA ILA HA ILLALLAHU MUHAMMDUR RASU LULLAH) written on the throne. Therefore I knew that this person must be of a very high status. Other wise you would not have written his name with yours. Allah Ta'ala then said I have forgiven you. He will be the last Messenger in your children and I have created you because of him. The second narration is when Allah Ta'ala created the Sky, and the Earth. He wrote our Prophet Muhammad's, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) name on the pillars of the throne and on the doors of paradise, and on the leafs of the trees in Paradise. It was written that Muhammad (My Allah bless him and grant him peace) would be the last Prophet. In addition to both of these narrations, are counter proofs for one another. They have the status as authentic narrations. ["Fatawa Ibn Taymiyya vol. 2 page 150" also Tareekh Ibn Kathir in Story of Adam] Apart from Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyya, other Scholars have also written these narrations. Like Hafidhh Suyuti, Bayhaqi and Tabrani. Qadi Ayad writes; Imam Malik was present at the blessed grave of the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) where-upon the Caliph Haroon approached and asked him 'Which direction shall I face when I supplicate?' Imam Malik replied 'Why turn your face away from RasoolAllah [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] when the Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace]is a Waseela for you as he was for your Father Adam 'Alayhissalam. Turn your face towards the Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace]and make Istishfaa (request for Du'a). [“Kitab As-Shifa, Chapter Ziyarat un-Nabi by Qadi Iyad” ] Du'a was even made with the Waseela of our Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] when he was a child. Ibn Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahab Najdi states, when our Prophet Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), was a child, rain had not fallen upon Makkah for a long period of time. His Uncle Abu Talib, prayed for rain through the Waseela of our Prophet (Sallallahu’alihi wa sallam.) “Mukhtasar Seeratur Rasul, By Ibn Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab al Najdi” Imam Bukhari writes that there was a famine during the Khilafah of Umar, (Allah be pleased with him), who supplicated to Allah by presenting the Waseela of the uncle of the Messenger of Allah, Abbas, May Allah be well pleased with him. He prayed to Allah by saying: 'O Allah, we used to supplicate to you with the Waseela of the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) and you would bestow us with rain. Now we present You the Waseela of (Abbas Allah be well pleased with him), the uncle of the Prophet So please grant us rain.' [“Bukhari in Baab-ul-Istisqaa”]

Whenever drought threatened them, `Umar bin Al-Khattab, used to ask Al-Abbas bin `Abdul Muttalib to invoke Allah for rain. He used to say, "O Allah! We used to ask our Prophet to invoke You for rain, and You would bless us with rain, and now we ask his uncle to invoke You for rain. O Allah ! Bless us with rain."(1) And so it would rain.

Billions of bounties; banishing our agony; and wondrous blessings without even asking
All this mercy of the Lord is for whose sake? For thee my master, by the Lord of the Worlds!
na jinn o bashar ke ath pahar malayikah dar pe basta kamar
na jib’ha o sar, ke qalb o jigar, hain sajdah kunan tumhare liye
Not just men and jinn; but angels too throughout the day [and night] stand in your service
It is not foreheads and heads that prostrate; but our hearts that fall down in reverence for thee!
jinan mein chaman chaman mein saman; saman mein phaban, phaban mein dulhan
sazaye mihan pe ayse minan ye amn o aman tumhare liye
Gardens in paradise; and in those gardens are groves; and the groves are adorned and in those adornments are beautiful brides!
The fruit of labor is thus rewarded! tranquillity and peace is thus granted for thy sake!

The swift breeze blows for the gardens to blossom; the flowers bloom for our days to be pleasing
and under the Standard, may Raza's mouth open only to praise thee, my master!
Quran 39:3: "Absolutely, to God is the true system. And those who set up allies besides Him: "We only serve them so that they may bring us closer to God." God will judge between them in what they dispute. For God does not guide him who is a liar, a rejecter."
Quran 12:106: "And most of them will not believe in God except while setting up partners."
Quranists claim all intercession belongs to God and that the sole duty of the messenger is to deliver the message:[13]
Quran 2:254: "O you who believe, spend from what We have provided for you before a Day comes when there is no trade, nor friendship, nor intercession; and the rejecters are the wicked."
Quran 21:28: "He knows their present and their future, and they cannot intercede unless it is for those whom He is pleased with. And, from His concern, they are worried." Quran 10:18: "And they serve besides God what does not harm them or benefit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with God." Say: "Are you informing God of what He does not know in the heavens or the earth?" Be He glorified and exalted above what they set up."
Quran 39:44: "Say: "To God belongs all intercession." To Him belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, then to Him you will be returned."
Quran 13:40: "And if We show you some of what We promise them, or We terminate your life, then you are only to deliver while for Us is the reckoning."
Quran 72:21: "Say: I have no power to harm you nor to show you what is right."
Quranists also condemn the tawassul prayer, because mentioning other names or using intermediaries during prayer is forbidden in the Quran. According to the Quran the prayer should be dedicated to God and God alone and the dead cannot hear you:
Quran 39:36: "Is God not enough for His servant? And they frighten you with others besides Him. And whoever God sends astray, then for him there will be no guide."
Quran 39:45: "And when God alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are filled with aversion; and when others are mentioned besides Him, they rejoice!"
Quran 20:14: "I am God, there is no god except Me, so serve Me and hold the contact prayer for My remembrance."
Quran 41:6: "Say: I am no more than a mortal like you. It is inspired to me that your god is One god, therefore you shall be upright towards Him and seek His forgiveness. And woe to the polytheists."
Quran 46:5: "And who is more astray than he who calls on others besides God that do not respond to him even until the Day of Resurrection? And they are totally unaware of the calls to them!"

"No, it is Him alone you will call on; and He will remove that which you called Him for, if He wills; and you will forget what you set up."
Quran 22:62: "That is because God is the truth, and what they call on besides Him is falsehood. And God is the Most High, the Great."
Quran 72:20: "Say: I only call on my Lord, and I do not set up anyone with Him."
Quran 21:67: "I am fed up of you and to what you serve besides God! Do you not comprehend?"
Quran 7:194: "Those whom you call on besides God are servants like you; so let them answer for you if you are truthful."
Quran 10:66: "Certainly, to God belong all who are in the heavens and those who are on the earth. As for those who call on partners besides God, they only follow conjecture, and they only guess."
Quran 10:106: "And do not call upon other than God what does not benefit you or harm you; if you do, then you are of the wicked."
Quran 13:14: "To Him is the call of truth. And those who are called on besides Him, they will not respond to them in anything; like one who places his hands openly in the water to drink, except it never reaches his mouth. The call of the rejecters is nothing but in misguidance."
Quran 35:22: "Nor equal are the living and the dead; God causes whoever He wills to hear; and you cannot make those who are in the graves hear."

I hav respect for all Islamic scholars and would like to say that after listening & reasoning,,, that EVEN if Dr.Zakir N. is wrong with this ONE point to say that waseela is haram,,we can say that waseela( by using someone not in this world) is Bidaa..BECAUSE we CANNOT bring any incident from the Holy Koran or Sahih Hadees where Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) or the Sahaabaas are clearing calling upon any dead prophet or person to pray for them....INSTEAD we find constantly in the Holy Koran,,Allah telling us to come towards Him,pray to him,ask favours from him DIRECTLY and even to find ways of nearness (waseela) to Allah....not by attaching any special formulas BUT by praying,fasting and following the laws of Allah...40:60,,3:150,,2:186,,4:32/45/69/123..etc..etc...Mr.E.Qadri and his type should call themselves Sufi Sunni bec pure Sunnis will not raise and decorate graves,they will not celebrate Milad un Nabi ,,a bidah ul hasnah,,celebrations which started during the Fatimid rule in Egypt.

WHAT ARE THOSE 25 VERSES OF QURAN WHICH REJECTS WASEELAH FOR THE BELIEVERS ?
1, [Ana`am 6:51] And with this Quran warn those who fear, that they will be raised towards their Lord in a state when, except Allah, there will be no protector for them nor an intercessor, so that they may be pious.
2, [Baqarah 2:48] And fear the Day (of Resurrection) when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will any intercession be accepted for the disbelievers, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation nor will they be helped.
3, [Baqarah 2:123] And fear the day when no soul will be exchanged for another, nor will they be set free in lieu of compensation, nor will any intercession benefit the disbelievers, nor will they be helped.
4, [Baqarah 2:165] And some people create for themselves Gods (objects of worship) other than Allah, with devotion (love) equal to the devotion of Allah; and the believers do not love anybody with love equal to the love of Allah; and what will be their state, when the punishment will be before the eyes of the unjust (disbelievers)? For all power belongs wholly to Allah, and because Allah’s punishment is very severe.
[Baqarah 2:166] (The day) when the leaders will be disgusted with their followers - and they shall see their punishment, and all their links will be cut off.
[Baqarah 2:167] And the followers will say, "If we were to return (to earth), we would break off from them like they have broken off from us"; this is how Allah will show them their deeds as despair for them; and they will never come out from the fire (hell).
5, [Baqarah 2:254] O People who Believe! Spend in Allah's cause, from what We have provided you, before the advent of a day in which there is no trade, and for the disbelievers neither any friendship nor intercession; and the disbelievers themselves are the unjust.
[Baqarah 2:255] Allah - there is no God except Him; He is Alive (eternally, on His own) and the Upholder (keeps others established); He never feels drowsy nor does He sleep; to Him only belongs all whatever is in the heavens and all whatever is in the earth; who is he that can intercede* with Him except by His command? He knows what is in front of them and what is behind them; and they do not achieve anything of His knowledge except what He wills; His Throne (of Sovereignty) encompasses the heavens and the earth; and it is not difficult for Him to guard them; and He is the Supreme, the Greatest. (This Verse is popularly known as Ayat Al-Kursi. It has a special status and reciting it carries great reward. *Prophet Mohammed “peace and blessings be upon him “ will be the first one to be granted the permission to intercede, others will follow.)
6, [Ana`am 6:70] And forsake those who have made their religion a mockery and play, and whom the worldly life has deceived - and advise them with this Qur�an so that a soul may not be seized for what it earns; other than Allah it will not have a protector nor an intercessor; and if it offers every recompense in exchange for itself, it will not be accepted from it; these are the ones who are seized for their own deeds; for them is boiling water to drink and a painful punishment, as a recompense of their disbelief. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessors.)
7, [Ana`am 6:93] Who is more unjust than one who fabricates lies against Allah or says, I have received divine inspiration, whereas he has not been inspired at all - and one who says, I will now reveal something similar to what Allah has sent down? And if you see when the unjust are in the throes of death and the angels are with their hands outstretched; (saying) Surrender your souls; this day you shall be given a disgraceful punishment - the recompense of your fabricating lies against Allah, and your scorning His signs.
[Ana`am 6:94] And indeed you (the disbelievers) have now come to Us alone as We had created you at first, and you have left behind you all the wealth and riches We had bestowed upon you; and We do not see your intercessors along with you, whom you claimed to possess a share in you; indeed the link between yourselves is cut off, and you have lost all what you contended.
8, [Yunus 10:1] Alif-Lam-Ra *; these are verses of the Book of wisdom. (*alphabets of the Arabic language; Allah and to whomever He reveals, know their precise meanings.)
[Yunus 10:2] Are people amazed that We have sent to a man among them, the divine revelation that "Warn the people and convey glad tidings to the believers that for them with their Lord is the place * of truth"? The disbelievers say, "Indeed he is an open magician." (* Positions of honour on the Day of Resurrection or in heaven.)
[Yunus 10:3] Indeed your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then (befitting His Majesty) , established Himself upon the Throne (of control) - He plans all matters; there is no intercessor except after His permission;* such is Allah, your Lord - therefore worship Him; so do you not ponder? ( * Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) will be the first to be granted permission to intercede.)
9, [Yunus 10:18] And they worship the thing other than Allah, which neither harms them nor benefits them , and they say, "These are our intercessors * before Allah"; say, "What! You inform Allah of something which in His knowledge does not exist in the heavens or in the earth?" Purity and Supremacy are to Him, above their association. (* Some things like the sun, stars, trees are useful but they too are created by Allah. Their worship will not benefit - in fact it is harmful ** Only the virtuous will be granted permission by Allah to intercede.)
10, [Yusuf 12:40] "You do not worship anything besides Him, but which are merely names coined by you and your forefathers - Allah has not sent down any proof regarding them; there is no command but that of Allah; He has commanded that you do not worship anyone except Him; this is the proper religion, but most people do not know."
11, [Ibrahim 14:21] They will all publicly come in the presence of Allah - then those who were weak will say to those who were the leaders, "We were your followers - is it possible for you to avert some of Allah’s punishment from us?" They will answer, "If Allah had guided us, we would have guided you; it is the same for us, whether we panic or patiently endure - we have no place of refuge." (* This conversation will take place between the disbelievers and their leaders.
[Ibrahim 14:22] And Satan will say when the matter has been decided, "Indeed Allah had given you a true promise - and the promise I gave you, I made it untrue to you; and I had no control over you except that I called you and you obeyed me; so do not accuse me, blame only yourselves; neither can I help you, nor can you help me; I have no concern with your ascribing me as a partner (to Allah); indeed for the unjust is a painful punishment."
12, [b/Israel 17:57] The devoted bondmen whom these disbelievers worship, themselves seek the means of proximity from their Lord, that who among them is the closest (to his Lord), and hope for His mercy and fear His punishment; indeed the punishment of your Lord is to be feared.
13, [Maryam 19:86] And drive the guilty towards hell, thirsty.
[Maryam 19:87] People do not own the right to intercede, except those * who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him - will be the first to intercede.)
14, [Ta-Ha 20:109] On that day no ones intercession shall benefit except his to whom the Most Gracious has given permission and whose word He has liked. (The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed - peace and blessings be upon him - will be the first to intercede.)
15, [Ambiya 21:26] And they said, “The Most Gracious has chosen a son” - Purity is to Him! In fact they are honourable bondmen.
[Ambiya 21:27] They do not speak before He has, and they act only at His command.
16, [Shua`ra 26:91] And hell will be revealed for the astray.
[Shua`ra 26:92] And it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to worship?”
[Shua`ra 26:93] “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?”
[Shua`ra 26:94] So they and all the astray were flung into hell.
[Shua`ra 26:95] And all the armies of Iblis. (Satan)
[Shua`ra 26:96] And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it:
[Shua`ra 26:97] “By oath of Allah , we were indeed in open error.”
[Shua`ra 26:98] “When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.”
[Shua`ra 26:99] “And none misled us but the guilty.”
[Shua`ra 26:100] “So now we do not have any intercessors.” (The believers shall have intercessors, the disbelievers none).
[Shua`ra 26:101] “Nor a caring friend.”
[Shua`ra 26:102] “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!”
[Shua`ra 26:103] Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers.
16, [Qasas 28:62] On the day when He will call to them - He will therefore proclaim, “Where are those partners of Mine, whom you had assumed?”
[Qasas 28:63] Those against whom the Word will have proved true will say, “Our Lord! It is these whom we led astray; we led them astray the way we ourselves went astray; we are unconcerned with them and we incline towards You - they never worshipped us!”
[Qasas 28:64] And it will be said to them, “Call unto your ascribed partners” - so they will call unto them and they will not listen to them, and they will behold the punishment; if only they had obtained guidance!
17, [Saba 34:22] Proclaim, “Call those whom you assume (as Gods) besides Allah”; they do not own anything equal even to an atom either in the heavens or in the earth, nor do they have any share in them, nor is any one among them an aide to Allah.
[Saba 34:23] And intercession does not benefit before Him, except for one whom He permits; to the extent that when the fear is removed from their hearts by giving permission, they say to each other, “How splendidly has your Lord spoken!” They say, “All that He has proclaimed is the Truth; and He is the Supreme, the Great.”
18, [Fatir 35:12] And the two seas are not alike; this is sweet, very sweet and palatable - and this is salty, bitter; and from each you eat fresh meat and extract the ornament which you wear; and you see the ship cleaving through it, so that you may seek His munificence, and in some way become grateful.
[Fatir 35:13] He brings the night in a part of the day and He brings the day in a part of the night; and He has subjected the sun and moon; each one runs to its fixed term; such is Allah, your Lord - only His is the kingship; and those whom you worship instead of Him do not own even the husk of a date-seed.
19, [Yaa-Seen 36:22] “And what is the matter with me that I should not worship Him Who created me, whereas it is towards Him that you are to return?”
[Yaa-Seen 36:23] “What! Shall I appoint Gods other than Allah? So that if the Most Gracious should wish me any harm, their intercession would be of no use to me, nor would they be able to save me?”
20, [Zumar 39:43] What! Have they chosen intercessors against Allah? Proclaim, “What! Even if they do not own anything nor have any intelligence?”
[Zumar 39:44] Proclaim, “To Allah only* belongs all the intercession! For Him only is the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and then it is towards you have to return.” (*Allah does not intercede - He gives the permission to intercede with Him, to whomever He wills.)
[Zumar 39:45] And when Allah the One God is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter get constricted; and when others (false deities) besides Him are mentioned, they rejoice!
21, [Momin 40:47] And when they will quarrel amongst themselves in the fire, those who were weak will say to those who sought greatness, “We were your followers, so will you reduce from us some of the punishment of the fire?”
[Momin 40:48] Those who were proud will say, “We are all in the fire - indeed Allah has already passed the judgement among the bondmen.”
22, [Momin 40:73] It will then be said to them, “Where are the partners you used to appoint?” -
[Momin 40:74] “As rivals to Allah?” ; they will say, “We have lost them - in fact we never used to worship anything before!”; this is how Allah sends the disbelievers astray.
23, [Najm 53:23] They are nothing but some names that you have coined, you and your forefathers - Allah has not sent any proof for them; they follow only guesses and their own desires; whereas the guidance from their Lord has come to them.
24, [Najm 53:26] And many an angel is in the heavens, whose intercession does not benefit the least unless Allah gives permission for whomever He wills, and whom He likes.

Waseela
It is the belief of the Ahl-as-Sunnah that it is permissible to supplicate to Allah with the Tawasul of good deeds. It is permitted to supplicate with the Tawasul of a living pious person and it is also permitted to supplicate with the Tawasul of the deceased pious person. It is this belief that we shall prove in this chapter. (Insha’allah)
The following is evidence that proves that it is permitted to seek the Waseela of the living and the deceased;
Proof from the Qur’an
Allah most High says in the Holy Qur'an:
O you who Believe! Do your duties to Allah and fear Him seek the means of approach unto him, and strive (with might and main) in His cause so that you may prosper. (Surah Mai’dah verse 35, Surah 5)
In this verse, Allah has informed us to seek ways of obtaining Waseela, a means to approach Him. Our Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), is our Waseela in this world and hereafter.
Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Qur'an:
Before that, they were asking for victory over the infidels by means of the same Prophet. Surah Baqarah verse 89
Imam Tabari, Hafidhh Ibn ul Qayyum al Jawzi, Hafidhh Ibn Kathir and Qadi Shawkani write that before the birth of the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), the Jews would make the Prophet, Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, a Waseela in their supplications, when asking Allah to defeat their enemies in battle. (Tafsir Ibn Jareer, Tafsir Ibn Kathir & Tafsir Fath ul Qadeer Shawkaani. Ibn Qayyum. Under, verse Baqarah 89 and Hadaya-tul-Hayara page 95 by Hafidhh Ibn Qayyum al Jawzi.
Someone may object to this by saying that this was an act of the Jews, hence it cannot be used as evidence for Muslims. However, Allah has mentioned this event in the Qur'an and did not condemn this, therefore this demonstrates that if it were impermissable the Holy Qur'an would not have mentioned it, nor left it unremanded
Proof from Hadith
Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyyah writes: When Adam (Alay hissalaam) made a mistake, he made Du'a like this: ' O Allah forgive my mistake with the Waseela of Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace).Allah asked the Prophet Adam peace be upon him, (rhetorically) how he knew about Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace)
Adam, peace be upon him, answered “when you created me, I lifted my head and saw: (LA ILA HA ILLALLAHU MUHAMMDUR RASU LULLAH) written on the throne. Therefore I knew that this person must be of a very high status. Other wise you would not have written his name with yours. Allah Ta'ala then said I have forgiven you. He will be the last Messenger in your children and I have created you because of him. The second narration is when Allah Ta'ala created the Sky, and the Earth. He wrote our Prophet Muhammad's, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) name on the pillars of the throne and on the doors of paradise, and on the leafs of the trees in Paradise. It was written that Muhammad (My Allah bless him and grant him peace) would be the last Prophet. In addition to both of these narrations, are counter proofs for one another. They have the status as authentic narrations.

Apart from Hafidhh Ibn Taymiyya, other Scholars have also written these narrations. Like Hafidhh Suyuti, Bayhaqi and Tabrani.
Qadi Ayad writes; Imam Malik was present at the blessed grave of the Messenger of Allah (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) where-upon the Caliph Haroon approached and asked him 'Which direction shall I face when I supplicate?' Imam Malik replied 'Why turn your face away from RasoolAllah [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] when the Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace]is a Waseela for you as he was for your Father Adam 'Alayhissalam. Turn your face towards the Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace]and make Istishfaa (request for Du'a).
[“Kitab As-Shifa, Chapter Ziyarat un-Nabi by Qadi Iyad” ]
Du'a was even made with the Waseela of our Prophet [May Allah bless Him and grant Him peace] when he was a child.
Ibn Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahab Najdi states, when our Prophet Muhammad, (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), was a child, rain had not fallen upon Makkah for a long period of time. His Uncle Abu Talib, prayed for rain through the Waseela of our Prophet (Sallallahu’alihi wa sallam.)
“Mukhtasar Seeratur Rasul, By Ibn Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab al Najdi”
Imam Bukhari writes that there was a famine during the Khilafah of Umar, (Allah be pleased with him), who supplicated to Allah by presenting the Waseela of the uncle of the Messenger of Allah, Abbas, May Allah be well pleased with him. He prayed to Allah by saying: 'O Allah, we used to supplicate to you with the Waseela of the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace) and you would bestow us with rain. Now we present You the Waseela of (Abbas Allah be well pleased with him), the uncle of the Prophet So please grant us rain.'
[“Bukhari in Baab-ul-Istisqaa”]
Ismail Sayyed kuch mukhtasar information diye hain abhi mutmaeen na ho toh aur bhi diya jayega ahle haq ahle sunnat wal jamaat jo maslake aala hazrat hain har chiz ka saboot rakhte hain gumrahi nahi iss jamaat mein
Surah al anaam ch. 6 VERSE 151 that say about INTERSECCER(WASEELA ) that waseela is haram

And do not approach immoralities - what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He instructed you that you may use reason." Ab isme bhala waseela lena haram hai kaha likha hai ?

+IMRAN KHAN Allah most High says in the Holy Qur'an:
O you who Believe! Do your duties to Allah and fear Him seek the means of approach unto him, and strive (with might and main) in His cause so that you may prosper.
(Surah Mai’dah verse 35, Surah 5)
In this verse, Allah has informed us to seek ways of obtaining Waseela, a means to approach Him. Our Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace), is our Waseela in this world and hereafter.
Allah Ta’ala says in the Holy Qur'an:
Before that, they were asking for victory over the infidels by means of the same Prophet.
