Willows Caravan Park, Had To Park On The Road With No Facilities

Long weekend away booked at The Willows Caravan Park at Brampton with some of the guys from the A7300's. Walk into town for a quick drink and Scooby snacks at the local Weatherspoons. An amazing meal at Brampton Mill, great Yorkshire puddings and succulent steak followed by the best dessert ever eaten. The river Ouse runs alongside where we saw an amazing heron/heronshaw. A lovely walk over the locks and sluice gates, with fast flowing water. Cycle paths all around, so we took out the electric scooters for a 2 hour ride. Stoped for hot chocolate and cookies.
Great disappointment while on site, not able to use the toilets or showers and eventually no elsan or grey waste disposal.
We will be filming our motorhome adventures. We are a little bit different to most TH-camrs, we go to sites, a bit of wild camping, but we also go drag racing, we do quite a lot of American hotrod shows, a few steam rallies and a bit of Carp Fishing.

Great video. Well there is a site to avoid. I would assume that everyone was parked on the road as the grass / ground cannot handle vehicles due to water drainage. Hope you get some money back. Had a look on trip advisor. Maybe the warden changed in the last two years as reviews were bad for the warden also for regulars. Yet previous years lots of good reviews. The 6m rule is only advisory. I run major events for Scouts and the local fire officer/council dictate how far apart tents/motorhomes have to be. I think the clubs enforce 6m under their accreditation rules. Makes sense. Apart from the staff , no onsite facilities, looks like you had a good stay with friends. Love the scooter. Need to pursued the wife to use a scooter or bike.

Hi yes it was very strange parking on the road especially having no facilities, we could have saved some money. That’s interesting about the six meter rule. We’ve received a reply from the site, we won’t be receiving a refund! You should get scooters, they are great fun. Happy travels
