You should put the microphone (phone) on the ground a set distance--maybe 1.5 meters--from the rear wheel in order to get it out of the flow of the exhaust. Then measure the noise at idle and at, say, 4k rpm. Show us the spectrum and the overall sound pressure level. Repeat for the various exhausts.
Actually if you put the phone on the ground 0.6 m from the exhaust outlet it will be a reasonable measure of sound power level, which is the most useful thing you could provide. I don't mean to be a douche bag but this is what I do for a living. I just wanted to offer some advice on how to most accurately characterize the sound.
@@redfordb Hello how are you, thank you very much for your contribution, I wish we had investigated a little more, but we will certainly keep your comment for possible new situations.
Hi man, do you ever had a plastic like rattling sound coming from the front side during low rpm? Mine was quite significant but i cant find the source..
Yoeri maybe it's the app, of course, it's not 100% verified; therefore they are not exact data; in the same way I do not doubt that your monster sounds very good, I invite you to watch this video that we did to the ducati monster 821
@@mojave242 Apologies, I take back my comment, it's def the app. Was at a meeting last year and those 821's make one hell of a noise, mine is nothing compared to those... You guys make very good video's, proper comparing in good quality. And love the looks of the RnineT by the way.
yes, I also kept the original, now I have the ninet 21, and the 16 sounded very good with its original exhaust, the 21 is the one that occupies a new exhaust 🤦🏻♂️
Hello, nice one! Did you also delete the servo flap unit?
really love the s1 sound

Great video. Might I ask what handlebars those are?
Rizoma MA011B 😉
Buen video, saludos!

Hallo when you install SC S1 do you need to put power comander ? Or nothing ? Thanks for answering
Hi! sc project recommends buying a power commander and reprogramming the bike, I really haven't done it, and the bike behaves well
@@mojave242 ok need to try without power commander. Very nice and aggressive sound from S1
yes I will also have to go for mine 😅
Suena a gloria
Hi man, do you ever had a plastic like rattling sound coming from the front side during low rpm? Mine was quite significant but i cant find the source..
Do you mean suspension? Because in the 2021 model I feel that too, I'll take it to BMW to have it checked

Howzit, why do you put a stone under the kickstand?
hahaha I didn't even remember, I put it so that the bike was more straight, and take a video shot
@@mojave242 :D that makes sense! I've see a couple of guys do it and could never figure it out
I am surprised about the relative weights; the SC muffler appears heavier than stock causing the front wheel to lift on acceleration
🤣
my monster 696 makes 91db standard exhaust and 94 with SC oval with db killer....
