💯!! I’ve been saying this for years and waiting for this song to play live for 40 years. I’ll keep repeating myself here but why this was another radio single back in the day. I’ll never understand. The song has classic Def Leppard written all over it….great riff…vocal harmonies…mid to hard tempo shifts…ripping solo and Joe’s voice all over the range. I’m sure it was better to see live compared to this phone recording. But go back and listen to the studio version and crank it up. It’ll remind you of how good this song is.

Right…we aren’t amped up, high metabolism 18-year-olds anymore. As a relates to this particular song, it could be they really don’t know it well since it was never played live until last night!?! Crazy to think about because this is this classic and solid a pyromania song as there is…. Why it was never a radio single I’ll never understand or played live for that matter. This is just a phone recording so I’m sure it was better live but put on the studio version of this and crank it up. Tell me if it isn’t super super solid and full of classic Def Leppard harmonies great riffs, fantastic guitar, solo and Joe’s voice Like everything else on pyromania
Been to lots of DL shows and have seen the audience being like that before. If it’s not Pour Some Sugar or Photograph, some people just don’t know the song. Also a few years ago before the show, while stuff was being set up and randoml music is played, they played Personal Jesus. Pretty sure only a handful of us knew it was Def Leppard. Been a fan 4-ever!

I hope this 40th Anniversary Pyromania tour lights a fire under their asses and they write an album that harkens back to the era in the vein of songs like the Take What You Want from DSH.
My personal opinion, as people get older they want to expand their musical horizons. Do you notice that all of the big bands they will never release the type of material they released in the '80s or in their early days. It's just the natural progression of time. Back then Def Leppard was just trying to make it as an opening act. They finally hit it big with pyromania. And the rest is history. But I would not expect them to put out a heavy rock album anytime soon. And I'm not putting Def Leppard down, they are my all-time favorite band. I've seen them a total of 21 times in concert. It's just the natural progression of time.
If you notice all the major bands from the 80s are going back to the 80s sound because that's what everyone wants to hear again, the tried the different sound and it didn't work out to well, people want that original sound from the 80s that was the best era of music and sound.
They have always been resistant to go back to this sound other than like one song on each new album since Euphoria. I think they consider this Steve’s sound and don’t want to cop him entirely. The rest of the band has always had different music taste, which unfortunately is just not what I like.
I would add that they need to find the right producer as well.

I went to the same school as Rik, then lived a few minutes walk from the school where their first gig was and even rehearsed and recorded around the same old factories they did…..so I have a lot of sentimental emotions towards leppard, always will have

totally agree with u. Watching crowds even in the music videos of the 80s was a perfect example of being people taking it to the level of excitement. Cell phones at concerts takes away from the energy in the crowd. Such a big difference
Lose the giant TV playing a screen saver and the shop lights around the rig and that would be perfect.
I find it annoying. Too much of a distraction.
I find it pretty cool. What I can't stand that concerts these days is people with their cell phones. Put it down and enjoy the show!

Ok this may seem silly but I have one criticism of Leppard live anymore. Now I know they're all 60+ yrs old. So am I. They slowly walk the stage, no more rock star guitar moves of poses, Joe not grabbing the mic off the stand and running around even a little. Sav is the only one who seems to still be energetic and moving around the stage the most. They might as well be mannequins just standing there. There's no enthusiastic energy. I personally would be all over that new massive stage and I'm 63. Granted Leppard is sounding as good as ever. But sounding great, using no backing tracks is only part of the show. It's a show guys put on a show. I've been a fan since OTTN so don't get me wrong.

Joe has said in an interview that he sometimes used to suffer from his back and a had to wear some kind of vest during the concerts. I'm not sure he still suffers from that but, if he does, it could explain him refraining from going wild. That, or he's just trying to save himself from any injuries, as he has a long tour ahead and recovery is not as quick when your in your 60s.~
As a side note, WOW! I know he's been great live in the past years, but I still did not expect him to hit all the high notes in this one. =)
