    I've lived in Miami for over 20 years. I've moved to Dallas, last year. I prefer Dallas!!! Nicer people, less traffic, cheaper cost of living, higher pay, and plenty of career opportunities.

    Was in Miami a month ago and I was so surprised how bad the customer service was! With beautiful weather and beaches around I expected people to smile, but they did not! You have a good perspective for being so young:)

      Yes definitely I feel like you’d except people to be so sweet but it’s the complete opposite !! Thanks so much for the compliment too :)

      If you are non-Hispanic you will be treated bad in Miami.I highly suggest Broward county . Fort Lauderdale . West Broward is more famliy oriented, so less smiling, but Fort Lauderdale is happy and cheerful .

    I live in Miami and I was in Dallas and Fort Worth last week for 5 days and I was truly impressed. I do believe that both of them are better to live in than Miami.

    I feel like Miami is the place you visit and experience the nightlife and beaches. Dallas is a much more livable city while still having plenty to do. Also like you said, Dallas has a much better job market and pay is higher. Miami positives are that it has beaches, palm trees and a stronger nightlife. If you want to live in Miami, move in your 20’s. By the time you’re in your 30’s, you will be ready to get out of there quick!

      30 years in miami. Visit ONLY. Terrible place to live. Gold diggers galore. Road rage, crime, expensive, rude people. Ughhhh

    You did a great job, I would add that Dallas is cleaner, bigger more upscale to my taste and opportunities to work and to do business are plentiful in Dallas. The neighborhoods of Dallas are so much better with much bigger and more modern homes. The highways and airports of Dallas are also bigger and better. though Dallas has a zillion more restaurants and so many nice Stakehouse restaurants and upscale restaurants, I think I prefer the food in Miami LOL. The Haitian, Jamaican, Cuban food in Miami is the bomb!

      Yes I agree, living wise, Dallas is the way to go! Food is great here but I do miss a lot of Miami food that I grew up on. Lots of great Peruvian, Colombian, and Argentinian food over there too!

    Perfect video! We have been thinking about moving to Florida, Miami or Tampa area, but the pay is so low for what I make in Arizona. Unfortunately you get paid in sand and sunshine but it really isn't that much cheaper than Arizona. Do you get seasons there minus big snow falls? Also how is the outdoor life like water sports, kayaking and paddleboarding? Thanks!

    • @gabriellevasquez11
      @gabriellevasquez11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      hi! sorry but there really isn't any season other than summer if I'm going to be honest. Weather is mostly hot and humid with lots of rain every now and then. Pay is really low too, I've noticed that if you are working in Miami it takes many years to make the same as if you were working somewhere else for maybe a year or two. Other than that, if you go down to the beach there are LOTS of water activities (diving, surfing, sailing, kayaking, etc). There are also several small lakes you can sail in as well. hope this helps!

      @@gabriellevasquez11 Thanks! It’s really crazy how low pay is in those southeast states. And the cost of living isn’t that much cheaper then here.

      You gotta go to North Florida to see seasons

    The fully integrated circuit, the handheld calculator, and the ATM were invented in the North Dallas suburbs back in the 1950s and 1960s. This engineering talent created wealth and jobs and DFW has had massive, massive population increases since it was an engineering town.

    Great video. Are you from Miami originally? Everything you mentioned is true, but despite the negatives, Miami is still a place that I would highly consider calling home. I’ve even done research on other major cities such as LA, Atlanta, and NYC, but something just keeps bringing me back to Miami. That being said, I’ll be down there in June this year for vacation to see what it’s like. I think I’ll absolutely love it.

    Dallas also like to party and have a strong atmosphere to the only thing we don’t have is the beach

    I'm debating Tampa vs. Dallas. While Dallas is more affordable, I'm a beach person which is making it hard. No matter the city, I'm sure they're better than Philly lol. I also wouldn't mind working for the Cowboys.

    Does it get extremely cold in Dallas between December and March? I hate cold weather, but I’m considering Dallas

    • @gabriellevasquez11
      @gabriellevasquez11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely not extremely cold, usually around 40s or 50s. But could also get down to about the 20s during February. It’s snowed in Dallas two February’s in a row so far, but snow lasts about a week then everything is back to normal.

    I grew up in Miami, and I can tell you it’s trash. Miami is great for one/two weeks to visit, but to live, it’s absolute garbage. I lived in Shreveport, LA, and frequented Dallas a lot and I much prefer Dallas over Miami.
