Okay, so i got out of the hobby. BUT this may have brought me back in, if i didn't see the robot form before hand in my opinion it could have passed as a model. just beautiful. Now the hunt begins
Transformation is definitely intense on this thing. My first attempt I made it about halfway through and gave up and just went back to Jet mode. A couple weeks later I tried again following a video and made it through. Bot mode is interesting I think, but certainly the main event is the alt mode. The eyes also light up using the larger missiles, which have magnets in them. They change between, red, blue, and pulsing red if I remember correctly. Thanks for taking the time to look at these things! Great overview/review as always.
i find the transformation really cool, first time was hell but you have to do it more than once to see where stuff needs to go, especially in the legs there is a lot going on also, there is another hook in that "backpack", which pegs in behind his head so its not just the bottom tab.
While I appreciate the design that went into this figure, you are right. The transformation is for masochists only. Thankfully the bot mode does look really good because there is no way I am ever transforming it back. I actually think the wing kibble on the back looks really, really good. It’s very well laid out.
Looks amazing in jet mode, but everything I've seen makes the transformation look hellish. I like that there are companies willing to take a chance on a original character and original design but it needs to be fun.
