For those who now don't want to pay Adobe subscription or any other paid software use GIMP ( www.gimp.org ), it's available for Windows, Mac and Linux, it has all the tools used here and more, but is completely free and Open Source. If you want vector art like Illustrator just use Inkscape ( www.inkscape.org ): same deal, just free and Open Source for Windows, Mac and Linux (free and Open Source operating system). If you want tools for Ipad (or Windows or Mac) that are not free but cheaper than Adobe subscription try Affinity Photo (raster images) or Affinity Designer (vector images) ( affinity.serif.com/en-gb/ ).
I thought you had to invert the photo before you print it? She stated "... just hit print" then shows us an inkjet printout that looks backwards/negative???? Did I miss something?
@Sandcarving What i don't get about this is how does the sandblasting not go thru the whole photo. I have seen it done with vinyl stencils that you have to deweed for sandblasting but this method seems much more detail/quicker without any deweeding. Can you explain how this paper works i get how to work the graphic software more or less. The issue is how this halftone imagine on the paper being sandblasting works to prevent sand where you don't want it ?????
Thank You for your reply. Rayzist manufactures a photoresist film, which is much like vinyl stencils but that is photographically reproduced. You might say “image transfer” process from your print image exposed to UV light into the film and then developed with a pressurized water wash. You have an exact image of your design, no weeding involved. Graphically, your taking your blacks and white Vector artwork, whatever is black in the design is the area which will engrave into your substrate, Black = Blast. The mask that you are seeing, its the blue portion of the film that is the sand-resist film, photomask which repels the blast media. I encountered you to have a look at our website and or some of our resource videos for further help, Rayzist.com for more videos TH-cam.com/Sandcarving
@@Sandcarving thanks for the reply I know get how the process works. I would like to set this up in my own place but not sure where you get the photo resist paper and is the light special or will any old UV lamp work/light source?
