I think he actually starts on a downstrum and switched the pattern after the first rep. Sounds the same either way, it’s just something I noticed from the acoustic sailboat session

bro how u put your index on the e 5 and the e5...like my fingie too thick and mutes the bottom string
Muting the high e string usually isn’t that big a deal - try to use the tips of your other fingers as much as possible, and then try not to worry about it for a while!

Ngl took me a while to get used to your teaching since you seem to move around alot in terms of just your body which made watching this video a little distracting but nevertheless, i learned how to play it and im so excited my only problem is figure out the tone lol
