0:08 Unfair Kind Of Fame 3:45 Rough Riders 7:23 The Viaduct 12:20 Frozen Wave 16:31 Stephen Pastel interview with Duglas T. Stewart. I once told Stephen Pastel I really enjoyed the Illuminati remix album they'd released. His reply was, "Thank you. I'm not sure many people heard it." Well, people should because the Stereolab remix, "One Wild Moment," is a banger!
At last! At last! At last! I love this band from the beginning which was for me "Breaking Lines" on the C86 Sampler. We once met Stephen in Glasgow 1989 for our fanzine Anorak. And he was really nice. Steevee, if you have more unshown videos of the Pastels, Bandits, Soup Dragons or whatever Scots Bands ... give it to us :-))
Next week, I will release a Full 1994 concert from the Pastels and a full 1995 concert from BMX Bandits. Anorak.. Was that the German Fanzine? in the 1990s I used to subscribe to many fanzines, from Germany (Howl) Spain, New Zealand, Finland, Sweden, I still have all of them.
@@ScottishTeeVee Cool!! Pastels and Bandits gigs...great!! Yes, the full name of our Fanzine was "Anorak - can I just say Sweatshirt?". A line from a Pooh Sticks Song. We went only for three issues. Our greatest "success" moment were an hour on Radio Bremen supporting our "Anorak Night" with 2 live events + disco. We were also mentioned once on John Peel. And we had a small feature (30sec.) on "Transmission" 1989 by Moderator Pat Fish, on the UK indie show.
@@andreeopthof376 I think I saw the feature on Transmission, in fact I probably still have it on video as I recorded many episodes of that show in full. Did you know that Pat Fish died a few days ago? Very cool that you got some air time on Radio Bremen, I hope you recorded it?
@@ScottishTeeVee Really?? So sad to hear that Pat Fish died!!! I've seen him 1990 on an acoustic tour, together with Peter Astor (The Weather Prophets, the Loft) in Bremen. My friend Peter (twee.net) always sent our stuff to Peelie or the indie shows. We once met Rachel Davies (also died some time ago), another moderator of Transmission, in London 1989. She gave us the numbers of Stephen Pastel, and we made contact with Andy Strickland (The Caretaker Race, The Loft) also in the Transmission building, and he put us on the guest list for his gig some days later in the legendary Camden Falcon. Those were groovy times, as we were students on our UK holidays, meeting and seeing all our indie pop heroes.. :-) And yes, we have recorded the Radio Bremen airing on tape, later then converted it to mp3. Oh, and you can find our fanzines 1-3 on Peters twee.net Page: twee.net/clarendon/fanzines.html

Thanks for taking the time to do this set list, I and others do appreciate it
Amazing document! Thanks for sharing!
Brilliant! Side note, Duglas looks a lot like Murray from Flight of the Conchords here, I guess he had the look first.
I love them forever
Thanks for watching and commenting Patrick🙂
