Not a bad idea, I usually use it docked, so it hardly matters for me.

Bhaiya, I will be joining college this year (Hopefully BITS!). I was thinking about getting a Macbook Air M2 which is released this year. The M1 version is $200 cheaper.
But I also wanted to future proof the laptop I will buy (atleast 7-8 saal to chalna chahiye) and I want to do a little exploring too, with trying out multiple things in college.
So should I get M2 or M1? Aapka koi opinion?

I would suggest go for Macbook Air M2 anyday, but don't get the base variant, get the storage and RAM upgraded, that's it.

Hi Somrat ! Recently I purchased a MacBook M1 (Model - A2337) and I was searching for a Hard Shell case for my MacBook. But after searching the internet about Hard Shells, I came to know that it may damage the MacBook hinges. Because the clips of the hard shell are attached to the side of the hinge under the screen of the laptop. If I push the laptop screen backwards, is there a possibility of damaging the hinge?. And I want to know if I should consider a hard shell for my mac or not as you are using a Hard Shell already for your mac. suggest me one. thanks !

Agreed with Akshat, 256GB isn't enough, but try to buy an external SSD along the way.
You should definitely upgrade to 16GB for any serious work, even 32GB is not enough for me (but I have much complex workflow so).

if you use multiple screens and dock the mabook laptop then use mac mini or mac studio. There is no point in buying a macbook if u dont use the Liquid Retina display and one of the best touchpad and keyboard.😐
