    I have a set of sculptures im working on and am going to incorporate these techniques. I'll share the results. The way these are roughing out already I can just see how stunning the results will be. Thanks for making these videos!

    This video is awesome! My dad used to carve faces out of pine knots and I found a whole bunch of them in his barn. I'm going to have to try this with some of those!

    Beautiful work! My parents had two cedar knots when I was young. We used them as doorstops! They would have been so beautiful done this way! ❤️💕💕

    Killer Mike! Thanks for another great project, it was cool to see the use of the quick coat and addative. I have the addative for wall art but wasn't confident in ratio and mixing. I got this!

    I see a shark, too. Very nice. Looks fantastic. I think maybe a bronze or some gold would look amazing in the crevices with a contrasting color. I may try it on a piece of drift wood that I have been holding on to for a long time. Thanks Mike!

    I once saw a video of a cabinet made with mesquite. Beautiful, hard, durable and full of holes. The guy filled the holes with epoxy and it was stunning! I keep hoping to see more uses of mesquite and epoxy.

      Most welcome. :) Yes but not with resin though it may work in towards the end. I made a painting for a background on a wood panel then sculpted a goddess figure. I was having trouble figuring out how to dress her but then I remembered my feather stash from the neighbors exotic roosters. I found a few feathers perfect for her 'clothing' and just glued them on. Waiting for the glue to dry now before moving on. I am thinking I will clear coat the painting with a thin layer of resin and place the figure on while the resin is still liquid so that it will adhere the figure to the painting. :) I do have a viability test coming up soon using resin. I am wanting to see if something I add will hold up or will melt in the resin due to heat of curing. :P

      I'm going to do a block table, So it looks like a 12" block of marble. Thick on one end and thin on the other end. The base will follow the same, But opposite thickness. Ill send pic's when Im done. Thanks for everything..!

    Mike, love the videos man! I’ve got an idea along these lines, using old, worn shovel and rake handles. Like the driftwood reminds you of the coast, it would be a great way to remember a loved one by preserving their tools.

    I live in Arizona not much driftwood here, but I am inspired to try this on Saguaro ribs or Cholla wood. Just got to get everything together. :)

      Ginger Ferguson go up to the Rim Lakes. Like Woods Canyon, Knoll, and Chevelon. Walk the shoreline (as much as you can. It is pretty rough) and near the spill ways at the damns. Plenty of driftwood there. It’s mostly Ponderosa Pine.

      I lived in southern oregon for most of my childhood in the tiny town of Rogue River. Then moved to the Portland metro area after a couple years in Eugene. Just moved to Missouri late last year chasing the all mighty dollar.

    I would love to see you do a burnt piece of wood, sand most (but not all) of the burned wood off, and use oranges, reds and yellow to make it look like it is a fire log. That would be AWESOME!

    Awesome piece of art. Next driftwood project, maybe add a fiery orange in the cracks to give it the look of burning Amber's from a fire

    I just seen this and I'm really impressed with it I have a beautiful piece of driftwood at home that I would really love to do this to I really want to get my hands on some of your product so I can try this myself
