OMG so glad I found this again after years .. what a perfect match of music, artist and instrument - each of them on highest level of magnificence! Listening is pure joy, Thanks!
Excellent artist...one of the best performances i have ever heard, either Tarrega or Llobet....i wish you health and much more success. Bravo.....THANKS FOR UPLOADING.
Also, Richard Brune’s new Fleta model is a contender for the best guitar I’ve ever played in my life for half the price of a Fleta. I thought it was just as good or better than the Hauser I and IIs in his shop, the Bouchet, the Romanillos, the Friedrich. You get the idea. Hard to beat the Brune family’s guitars.
Just so beautiful to hear this fantastic performer playing these sweeeeet guitars, of which most of us cannot afford... More, please, more videos like this... These demonstrations are THE best promotion for GSI...
The way Teicholz is thinking Capriccio Arabe is very personal and - should I say - very fresh! It doesn't matter if I liked it or not; more important is that it gives something new to think about of this "old super hit". Marc T. is absolutely brilliant artist, and the instrument seems to be - fine!
I've been listening to many of Marc's videos, not so much for the guitars, I just like his playing. I must say I love the way this guitar sounds. It just sounds better than anything I've heard. Wow.
my goodness those mics are so damn good! The playing here is great to see and hear for those of us who couldn't make it out so thanks for posting. The video/audio is really high quality. That guitar is still singing after all these years. Nice spanish set.
Now, that's the way I hear this piece. The majority of interpretations of Capricho Arabe tend to maintain a serious sensuality through the piece and don't exploit the playful possibilities inherent in this. Bravo. It's quite likely my favorite Tarrega work.
Bravo , Marc! Excellent!!! Beautiful!!!
Amazing depth, tone, and volume, in the hands of a very capable musician. Fleta construction and superior tone woods and internal bracing system is the heart of the sound
Thank you kindly for this information. I am currently awaiting a new guitar from Otto Vowinkel. His guitars are also traditionally made and have a beautiful sound.
Haja sensibilidade !!!
This is what I like! Truly musical not mechanical. I hope this encourages more smaller bodied guitars which I 100% prefer to all those big “steel cans with strings” out there. Total myth smaller bodied guitars are somehow deficient as this so magnificently proves.
Have listened to all 8, this is my favourite by some distance. Beautiful and bright trebles. Perhaps the guitar's very focussed sound (seems to be coming from a smaller space than the others) just draws one in and makes you very attentive. Maybe the player just had a very strong reaction to it and found a release for his expressive playing. Dunno I'm just babbling.
I have listened over and over to the 8 performances and other comparisons and for me Fletas are the best sounding guitars followed by Esteso, Santos and Hauser 1.
This is hardly a 'typical' Fleta though. In fact not even remotely like one. It is supposedly based on one of the smaller Torres plantillas - FE 17, with a body length of just 465 mm's. That's a long, long way from your usual Fleta Guitar. This is the size that I use for my shorter string lengths of 635 mm's - which also makes perfect sense. You would be better served copying one of the smaller Torres if you want to try and recreate the sound of the Guitar in the video. After all, it's Fleta's copy of a small Torres Guitar.
@@vihuelamig Although it is a copy of Torres FE17, but it is much much better than ALL copies I have heard! To me, I don't see this is a replica, it is another historic guitar.
If you are a player, you might want to try the guitars of Claudio Meneghelli or David Merrin. They will come very close to this as they employ traditional fan bracing. They were also trained by Jose and Liam Romanillios. Their guitars are also moderately priced between $8000 to $10000.
Thank you for making the very same point I was going to make: The guitar is a fine instrument, but WITHOUT HIS ARTISTRY, we would have nothing. An extremely prominent violin player was being congratulated after his concert: "Your instrument has an amazing sound, Maestro." The player put his ear on the violin for a while and then said: "Really? I hear nothing."
Bravo! If we all played in the same manner, things would get pretty boring. I think Tarrega would be happy just that his pieces were being played in a musical, expresive and intelligent way. perhaps he is smiling from his grave.
no doubt about it...but still...the sound of the guitar has something special I have never heard from any other....that is why is said it is the guitar of my dreams....
this guitar has outstanding tone for almost 90 years old. I wonder if they ever do any work like changing the sound board. Normally guitar looses its tone after 3 years.
I don't know where you got that information from but It's incorrect. If the guitar is made to a high standard it will keep it''s tone for a lifetime so long as it is looked after correctly by the owner.
Bravo.....THANKS FOR UPLOADING.
my favorite video on u-tube, i keep coming back to this one. over 3 years now... i really want that guitar...i really love Marc's passion.
Marshall Brune makes a copy of it that is very nice. He and his father Richard owned this guitar for a while and studied it.
Wasn`t aware of how incredibly good Marc Teicholz really is before these GSI recordings. Thx GSI for that. Very much appreciated.
Wow … exquisite … so from the heart … bringing the music to life … Marc is in a league of his own … thank you for sharing!!🙏
lovely guitar by a great master - and played by a master as well
This is how a Fleta sounds in the hands of a professional... Thanks for posting.
Evidently size doesn't matter! Sweet as honey, what amazing tones.
I am starting to love this channel more and more! Great players, great pieces, great guitars!
Gracias por tu dedicación y estudio . Mil gracias desde Spain❤
Buenísimo. Gracias por compartir tu arte.
Just so beautiful to hear this fantastic performer playing these sweeeeet guitars, of which most of us cannot afford... More, please, more videos like this... These demonstrations are THE best promotion for GSI...
Incredible how this elderly guitar sounds so bright, so fresh. And looks as good as it sounds!
Fletas have such unique depth in their tones.
The way Teicholz is thinking Capriccio Arabe is very personal and - should I say - very fresh! It doesn't matter if I liked it or not; more important is that it gives something new to think about of this "old super hit".

This is outstanding 👏
An excellent player and an outstanding guitar. To my ears this guitar has a sweetness of tone that is unmatched by modern guitar makers.

such full and deep tone :) beautiful melody played by a brilliant guitarist and a very very nice guitar :)

Great playing Marc! Good to hear you again.
Very beautiful playing and lovely guitar as well.

+Anthony Ellington Agreed!
Great performances. And what a BIG sound from such a little guitar!
This guitar's song is unique! Fabulous!
A guitar gem played by a master. Bravo!
I could say with honor that have taken lesson with him..Such an inspiration...
Best tone!
Bravo , Marc! Excellent!!! Beautiful!!!
it sounds and looks very very very good... this guitar is a real treasure !
La reina de reinas de las guitarras.
supremely beautiful tone plus brilliant playing.
Absolute perfection, especially the Tarrega interpretation.
Thank God for musicians!! Of all genres!
Amazing depth, tone, and volume, in the hands of a very capable musician. Fleta construction and superior tone woods and internal bracing system is the heart of the sound
Absolutely wonderful.
These videos are great! I am looking forward to the Hauser
Canco Del Lladre starts @ 1:15 Capricho Arabe starts @ 3:14
The elusive '36 Fleta. Hopefully this wonderful guitar resurfaces, very apt choice of music for her, well played.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I have to say that Fleta is the sweetest classical guitar I've heard , I can't afford a real one but do you know someone that builds a quality copy ?
Excellent!! bravo!!
Simply awesome!!
MASTERPIECE!!! flawlessly interpreted
A truly magnificent guitar.
Great instrument and fine playing with interpretation.
beautifull sound! magnificent instrument!
this guitar has a similar shape and looks very close to a 1946 Alejandro Huertas I own.
What's the first piece he plays (starting at 0:00) ?
Testamento de Amelia
Beautiful job.
Thank you kindly for this information. I am currently awaiting a new guitar from Otto Vowinkel. His guitars are also traditionally made and have a beautiful sound.
Excelente, sublime!!...
For a small guitar that's a lot of sweetness and a lot of colour

Excellent sound.
Beautiful.
Outstanding!!!
Why is it that all of these videos sound so good? What kind of equipment or microphones are these guys using? Does anybody know?

záchvěv nostalgie....jako peříčko poletuje kolem...

I luv the sound of the Fleta and have the courtnall plan and gore/gilet plan. I am currently building them.

Wowwww 🤩

Still my favorite...

His tone production is first class. Must find out how he polished his nails, Tabs of all the pieces are available on the net. Use google!
A1 playing Marc

Rich of melodic, deeper madrid sound, powerfull, best treble sound.

no doubt about it...but still...the sound of the guitar has something special I have never heard from any other....that is why is said it is the guitar of my dreams....
thats a small starnge guitar right?
I agree STRONGLY with self taught girl, this is my favorite piece and guitar.
this guitar has outstanding tone for almost 90 years old. I wonder if they ever do any work like changing the sound board. Normally guitar looses its tone after 3 years.
Really? 3 years? That seems awfully short. Are we talking spruce or Cedar here?
I don't know where you got that information from but It's incorrect. If the guitar is made to a high standard it will keep it''s tone for a lifetime so long as it is looked after correctly by the owner.

Even better than the Torres. And, of course, all of his performances are magnificent...
My goodness: I just found the guitar of my dreams, and I cannot afford it.... so sad....
Fleta rules!!
