Very nice build. Really cool trick to widen the groove using the plate in the vise. I'm a fan of using this type of saw on the pull stroke also - feels much more controlled.
Interesting way to widen the saw cut. I would have probably just put a second blade in the hack saw, but your way would be better if doing that would make the cut too wide. Plus, putting two saw blades in a hack saw won't work very well if the hack saw doesn't have parallel pins.
How do you tension the saw to switch blades? Do you have to use the same bar clamp set up like you had or can you squeeze it together by hand ? Looks great though
I always use a bar clamp in a vise. It leaves both your hands free and it gives you the control to only flex the frame as much as needed when installing the blade and to easily release the tension very gradually.
turned out great! i always learn something from your videos

Very cool, I get the feeling you dislike buying anything you could make just as I do.
Thanks for sharing
That turned out really cool, you're good at this stuff.
Another trick is to put two blades in your hacksaw to hacksaw a wider groove. I enjoy your channel.

Ok just wondered. I have seen saws like this but never used one. Thanks!
6:40 2 plates...clamped 1 either side will leave your hand free.
Do you have anything on touch marks and if you don't could you do something on them?
Or something on saw-blade making. That would be very interesting.
I will be doing a video on touch marks soon and I have always wanted to try making a saw blade so that will be coming up as well.
