    Do you think it matters the weight of the hammer you use for a forge weld? I’m thinking, based on my experience (about two years worth) that yes. A heavier hammer does set a weld faster and better but I haven’t heard any other blacksmith talk about it

    I should make one of these too, not just for the task of welding parts, but also for taking hot pieces of copper I've annealed out of the coals.
