Yeah. Everytime that the Ancients' inventions appear, something bad happens. Speaking of them, the mech suit's resemblance to Sonic may be a nod to how the Ancients became familiar with Sonic in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric after he traveled back to their time, thus possibly inspiring them to model the mech suit after him.
I wish there was more than just the carvings on that door that look like Sonic and Tails in that game to show anything about them doing something to Lyric in the past. (Shadow sounds like Lyric in that game)
Amy was horrible at the end of the episode. She glares at Sonic for remembering the female bandicoot twins, but calms down when Sonic lies about disliking them. At the end of the episode, I would have Amy ask if Sonic remembers anything, to which Sonic replies, "Well... I definitely remember the twins". Amy feels a bit sad but tries to hide it, and when Sonic is about to lie about disliking the twins, Amy stops him in his tracks.
This is exactly like the that montage from Spider Man 3, between the aggressive behavior, flirting with random girls, even the background music sounds exactly the same. The only difference is I don't find Sonic painfully infuriating

I loved this episode so much, and I always find it interesting when the character gets out of character, mainly evil out of character because Sonic not only almost destroyed everyone, but his evil laugh is funny XD Also, I loved the multiple references!

I had to watch the episode because the TH-cam timestamp images didn't show up. What disappointed me was that Sonic turns evil quickly when he wears the discount Charlie mech suit. I mean, come on. Not even Peter Parker turned evil *in an instant* when he had the symbiote on him. It happened *gradually*. This episode should have been Part 1, where the mech suit starts to change Sonic. Then, in Part 2, Sonic has completely changed and the rest of Team Sonic must find a way to stop him.
To tell you the truth, when I heard about how the mech suit changes Sonic (before seeing any images), I thought it was going to be a symbiotic suit that makes him look like a cyborg ninja (a mix between masked Megaman and Power Rangers). In my idea (with the cyborg ninja suit), after Sonic attacks his friends, he comes to a realisation and struggles and succeeds to remove the suit. Soon afterwards, Tails decides to keep the suit, to see if he could make some adjustments to it and make replicas (one for each Team Sonic member).
This episode would have been a great opportunity to have Shadow in the episode. I mean, if Shadow is supposed to be an “anti-hero” version of Sonic, one can only imagine the interactions or plot that would have played out.

So I just looked at the episode where Charlie was first introduced, and here's something somewhat interesting if you want some continuity and to mean something The chip Tails extracted from the mech suit making it symbiotic looks almost identical to the model that Charlie was carefully pulling out of the ground only his was more bigger than the one Tails pulled off the suit, but the one Charlie was carefully moving out of the ground was not in the suit and before he could do anything with it Knuckles ended up breaking it......twice
it would have been cooler if shadow saved the day. but after what they did to him in the sonic boom franchise, i dont think he'll be anyones hero for a long time.
