A little Vlogmas DIY, Perfect For Knitted and Crocheted Ornaments

- Hello to all my fellow knitting, crochet, and yarn enthusiasts! Welcome back to Day 19 of my Vlogmas video series. In today's video, we will be doing a simple DIY project using scrap wood and twine to create a space-saving tree. It's perfect for displaying your handmade ornaments, cards, or any other Christmas decor. Additionally, we will take a look at some vintage Christmas decor. I'll also be showing you my versions of a few patterns that I shared in Monday's community post. And finally, we'll open up the Harry Potter advent calendar for the day dyed by CrystalSkyesHanddyed Yarns.

I have crocheted ornaments fifty years old.
I don’t have a craft room. I do have handmade ornaments on our tree. That’s a cute llama. Great deal!

Love your solar light-up llama! I have a pink Xmas tree like yours that is battery-operated. The card tree is a great idea! ❤Merry Christmas!
That pink was an amazing Aldi find! I saw them at Target but for a lot more. I do have a vintage one I will be showing today… hopefully.

As I am watching this, I am making a knitted blanket/wrap with an advent. My crafting chair is a recliner, so a narrower, long blanket is perfect, and I can also use it as a rectangular wrap. I have several advents and mini sets, so I will continue until I reach the length I want.
That is a great plan! I have a recliner in the living room as well. Mine is an oversized wide one my hubs got me a few Mother's Day ago. I always sit with my legs in crisscross and it is easier for my long legs. lol It is also good for the occasion nap under a cozy blanket. That is a great use for minis! Thank you for sharing.

You could use dowel rods as well. I would just knot around the dowel to make the layers.

Craft stores like Hobby Lobby also sell wood dowels.
LOVEEEEEE your card tree!!! Definitely going to use that sort of idea when I get to finish my room... Gotta get rest of kid stuff out of it.... Long story 😊 lol. How about Harry Potter theme garland with the Advent yarn... Different house scarfs.... Troll... Dobby... Maybe initials ... Or name plates .... Of course hedgwig... Broom.... Wand. Scarfs with character names on them. At my ollie's they have amigurimi sets with mini s ... If I can find mine in my room I'll send you a picture...
I would love to see them. I haven’t been into my Ollie’s since Oct. lol I don’t get out much besides Aldi and Lowe’s. 😆
