Hearing James's panicked voice as he drove over the cliff was heart wrenching. I'm so glad he's okay. Don't be stupid on the roads! One mistake can cost you everything!
+ there was also a lack of road signs to signal the sharp turn. given that there was a tiny one on the entrance of the tunnels, it still didn't give enough warning to drivers.
I could only imagine it's amazing any of those vehicles could run efficiently enough to do some serious 4x4ing while injecting that much smoke into the system. A lot of those guy (and women I know and have a female friend that was wild land firefighters) go in on foot. Imagine that but being on foot and 5-10 miles from a vehicle. The firefighters driving through the wildfire and slowly becoming trapped was one of the scariest things I’ve ever watched. It’s not easy to make decisions like that to just plow forward through the flames when you’re completely unsure if you’re driving to your death. I LOVE that the person who was trapped on the bridge and the people with guns started coming toward them, that they just stepped on the gas and pushed that car with them. YES! Hit that fucking car! Get the hell out of there!
@@BeagleBageler Some people freeze up instead of "fight or flight" and if that one perp truly brandished a gun it takes 30 seconds of "freezing" to end deadly. This is why they say panic can kill you don't truly know how you'll respond unless you've got nerves of steel.
As my father was almost sent to California to help fight fires around this time, this was really a scary thing to see. Im really glad to see them all get out safely and to know that my dad was willing to help fellow firefighters go through something like that.
Guys, I can't stress this enough, if you are ever the passenger in a stressful situation like many of these clips, do everything you can to be supportive to the driver. Don't back seat drive, don't yell at them, don't panic, just tell them they got this, they are doing great, you're going to make it, etc etc. It might literally save your life.
ABSOLUTELY WRONG The two need to communicate productively. Working together as a team.. if you have 2 brains available USE THEM (you should try it) Not..... "awww you're doing so good! Gooood boy!! Come come buddy, you got this... it doesn't matter were both about to drive off a cliff - let me talk nice to you, like a toddler.. don't want to hurt anybody's feelings when we're about to die
@@brandoballer47 Yeah, no shit. But when the person driving is a competent driver and the solution to whatever problem has presented itself is obvious, telling them what to do is only going to stress them out more. You don't talk to them like a toddler, you talk to them like a boxing coach, ring side, cheering them on and building their confidence so there is zero hesitation when every fraction of a second can mean life or death. If they need directing or want your opinion, they'd ask for it. Try telling me what I need to do in that situation and I'd purposely drive of a fcuking cliff just to spite you.
that's facts, there are lots of crazy, evil, and lazy people out there, and i just think, imagine how it'd be if the world were to fall into a apoc, too many bad people out there.
The fact there's so many videos of people getting robbed or held up in the middle of nowhere is legitimately terrifying. Like I have a lot of fears, but I have a deep primal fear of getting robbed in the middle of night all alone
As someone who is about to start driving I'm also terrified. But agian. I'll mostly likely have a gun. And a truck. So I'm definitely gonna run over people who dare try and get robbed or jumped
That’s why really it is not suggestible to drive at night if you can help it. If you must drive in the middle of nowhere, try to at least do it during daylight. And always have some kind of protection. This world is too crazy not to.

The clip about the wildfire had me holding my breath, I truly was terrified for them. Firefighters are the bravest people in our society. The fear of knowing everyday you are facing the worst possible way one can die is really something, there really isn't words to express how lucky we are to have men and women in this world who are willing to do this job.
I’m a wildland firefighter and I’ve talked to some of my brothers who were in an inferno like that….. they said it was as close to hell they wanted to get! 😢😢
I'm not a firefighter but my father and grandfathers before me were and the stories they told me with theer time in the force were truly teriffying. I have all the respect for firefighters in the world
The footage of the fire and those firefighters is absolutely nuts! Those firefighters are fucking insane for keeping as calm as they did! And it's amazing they completely contained the fire a little later down the line, that was huge!
In Australia that’s called a burn over. Fire trucks will spray water on themselves and those inside cover the windows. It seems the people in this video didn’t know what to do in the situation (although it didn’t look like all the vehicles had water)

Props to that first driver. Made some impressive tactical maneuvers to get around those cartel thugs and handled that situation about as well as one possibly could. Also props to his incredibly stoic wife. He nervously exclaims, "Holy shit. It's the cartel." and she just casually responds with a nonchalant, "yep." Most people would be freaking out in that scenario (for good reason).
Ive watched a lot of these scary videos, but the firefighters getting trapped in the fire was easily one of the scariest things ive seen so far in my life. Cant imagine what they felt and how they got out
I’m glad those drivers got away from those lazy jerks who tried to steal their vehicles. Man, I was literally shaking just watching these clips. So happy those firefighters made it out as well. Glad those that were found safe in their accidents. I hope the others were as well. Your voice added to the scariness of them, too. You do a great job. I’m subscribing!!!
@r33mote exactly what about a man with an american accent saying “it’s the cartel” makes you think that it was in France??(also all the signs are in Spanish)
I've lived in Australia and driven through bushfires, and watching that footage really gave me severe anxiety. I didn't realize I was holding my breath until the ending, when they all got out onto that clear road.
There’s footage of our rural guys hunkering down in their truck with the sprinkler protection deployed when they became overrun. Later in the vid they pass a similar truck that didn’t make it, completely burnt out.
I was JUST going to comment on the horrific video I saw of the Australian trucks using sprinklers and the one fails but with the other truck full of people they had no option but to sit and die unfortunately smh. Craziest thing was the Australian rd was fairly clear, unlike this one where the trees were right up on the road. Perfect example of the tremendous heat created within a firestorm, don't be fooled into thinking just because a paved road has nothing to burn you'll be safe just sitting there waiting a fire out
@@danielbradley5255 I remember the Australian fires happening at the same time as our horrendous California fires. The heat is so intense but driving thru the fire is sometimes the only option. 🥺 So grateful these guys/gals made it out safely! 💗

@@oldageisdumb I meant full reverse. And you don't have to be a badass to do that. Lol Or jump the curb to the left when it was wide open. Watch the video again, he has so many opertunities to get out of there and he BARELY made it through that gap. I will give it to him that he was smart enough to juke the car he did get around. I still stand by my statement though. Very poor situational awareness. Mexico, on the border, late at night, with two cars blocking the road? Yeah, I would've noped outta that real quick. Maybe I just watch too much TV. But I would figure that might set alarm bells of for anyone.
@@crashmandude I’m just saying it’s very easy for you to go back and analyze the video and pick apart what you would or would not have done differently. I don’t doubt you are right, but the point is I think it’s pretty clear you’ve never been in a terrifying situation like that before as you seem to be under the impression that you are able to think clearly and calmly. If you had been in a situation like that, you would realize the driver did a great job under duress. So quit judging him in hindsight and be thankful you e had it pretty easy.
I think I would as well. I'd do whatever it takes to protect myself, even if it means I'd have to run them over in order to prevent them from reaching me. Afterall It's their own fault for putting themselves in that situation.
It's so weird how these drivers are scared of someone walking towards their car. Like, bruh, you're in a car. Run them over. Turn them into road paste.
most people don't want to intentionally injure/kill another human regardless of the actual danger of the situation. It takes a lot psychologically to do that (similar to the concept of stopping shootings with "a good guy with a gun" - it does a lot to the psyche to pull a trigger knowing it's going to kill/maim another individual)
I get the apprehension that the person may have a gun, but yes, booking it tf out as promptly as possible is the best solution. Bonus points if you hit the creep.
What disturbs me is how completely different most of these scenarios are, but the people only had seconds to react. These situations could happen to anyone and not knowing what to do and figuring it out in the few seconds you have can mean life or death
Damn that first clip is the first time I've been genuinely unsettled from these 'disturbing' dashcam scares. Everything about that car jacking setup was strategically executed. Only thing missing out of that equation was weapons drawn or any gunpoint action.
Watching these makes me relive my ptsd, I almost got put in jail as an 18yo in Mexico for running over 2 attempted kidnappers with glocks. Was my first reaction. They lived unfortunately. Seeing car jacking and al this kinda shit just brings me back to what I would have done different or what the outcome could have been if I had froze and let them open my doors. Thankful for everyone’s safety.
you did right, I would have done the exact same thing as a first reaction, it was either them or you and always choose you. nothing to be ashamed or worrying over, they should have chose to be normal decent people. power to you 💪🏼
Great job. You give sensible, simple, non-drama explanations then let the video play. That's how you do it. Many need to learn this. Good clips too. 10/10

That fireman's dashcam was by far the scariest, you can drive through would be car jackers, but seeing walls of fire all around you and hearing that there's no way forward or back I will say that my heart sunk.
RE: James’ accident in San Gabriel Mountains. Yes, he was foolishly going way too fast and is one lucky speedster that his car was the only thing damaged! However, even someone doing the speed limit could be blind sided when coming out into bright daylight from a dark tunnel. @@Kilian600 that's right. But the guys on the motorcycles (I saw two) were really in trouble! Just the storm itself was dangerous to them.. but the powerlines could kill them really fast.
I remember back in a wicked bad ice storm we had in upstate NY,I was doing generator service calls and stopped on a road within eyesight of the Hudson river in the Cold Spring area to catch up on a little paperwork and some phone calls. All I could see on the other side of the river were these blue flashes, for as far as you could see for either way north to south. That second one was hilarious. “James didn’t know there was a sharp turn after the tunnel“ so he just hauled ass without knowing what was in front of him. 😂😂😂
Yeah the explanation is pure bullshit....he was hotdogging and attempting to do drifts around the corner after exiting the tunnel, even had his friends there to film it, one is by the tunnel exit with the camera and waving at him (how did they know he was coming and why be filming?) at 2:41 not to mention he makes NO attempt to brake in that skid or he would have been fine....his engine keeps revving and he powerslides right off the edge of the mountain....was his own fault and he lies about being on a joyride and just wanting to hear the sound of his engine in the tunnel which is why he claimed to speed up? Pure bullshit lies.

@@anthonyfoutch3152 One of my distant cousins that I actually never met, got tangled up his teens with a neighbourhood gang in London’s east end. The gang and it’s youthful members were known for their fearful and ruthless shenanigans. After a short time with the street gang my cousin decided he would start a fire in his own family home to stop his family from interfering and telling him it was unsafe and unhealthy to have friends like this. But no he ignored everyone and decided to place a lit petrol soaked cloth through the front door letter box. The fire in an old building like that took hold in seconds. Not all the family were able to escape. His younger sister perished in the fire, trapped upstairs in her bedroom, while his younger brother was eventually rescued but left with permanent irreparable life changing injuries. Hi parents were ok but it was no consolation to losing their only daughter aged just 9 years old. My cousin was sentenced to a ‘life term’ in a psychiatric facility where he spent the next ten years of his life before committing suicide seven years ago due to the immense guilt for what pain he’d caused his family. We never truly know from which direction the paths of our lives are going to take us. I just pray however that whatever I’ve chosen to do, it is right, but without harming others. Although should myself or anyone else become endangered they have the trust and respect other people to aid them when necessary.
I’ve often lamented the fact that here in the US, so much attention, praise & entitlement is given to & assumed by law enforcement, that when they die on duty, the depts will shut down streets & even highways, for the procession to the funeral. But, that never happens for fire fighters. They seem to be ignored by the media. They are brave men & women, much more brave than cops, imo. And yet, they’re not running around espousing being in fear of their lives, wanting to “make it home to their families” all the time. They’re not trying to force everyone to respect them for THEIR CHOICE of careers. I wish fire fighters got more credit for what they do & the unassuming way they do it. Real heroes.
@@novice5895 In the UK we seem to have a lower level of outpouring when a fireman dies too. You’ll see the crews that cover that station do a procession and go to the funeral but that’s it. And it’s not uncommon for them to abandon the funeral if there’s a sudden emergency shout. I recall my aunt saying my uncle was always at his most quiet after a shout where children had died. It’s only in recent years that firemen and police officers are offered counselling after distressing situations at work. I know there’s no way on earth I could mentally handle seeing a child die and then have to bring out their remains. Back in 2012 when that heinous man mick philpott (his name doesn’t deserve capital letters) deliberately set his house on fire in Derby UK and ended up killing all six of his kids was a dark day for all our firemen, the whole of our country for that matter. If my uncle had been alive I don’t know how he would have reacted to that. I know my aunt was deeply disturbed and it played on her mind for a long time. It was a sickening act and all the fire crews were offered counselling afterwards. I know it’s bad enough for anyone to die in a fire, but small children?? Given life just to have it taken away in such a horrific way.

1:00 - Had the same thing happen in Mexico back in the mid-1990s. Driving down a straight ass two lane road in the middle of F*ing _NOWHERE_ (crossing the Guerrero Negro) at like midnight. Saw two pickups on either side of the road and like eight dudes standing in the road with a wooden barrier thing (I assume was attached to one of the trucks). The Mexican in the car said 'Go, go, GO! Banditos!'... so I went. I was already doing 70 across a black desert in the middle of the night and I guess they heard the engine racing because the dudes jumped out of the road and I blew through their impromptu roadblock doing over 100 sending their little wooden stick probably a quarter mile down the road in pieces. Admittedly it is incredibly stupid to drive at high speed when you can't see what's ahead of you but that sharp turn after the tunnel really should have been signposted. One would expect warning signs well in advance of a turn like that. We take so much for granted.
I thought the same - here in the UK there would be red triangle warning signs in advance and huge chevrons on the bend. There may have been signposts here but I couldn't see any on the video, driven the speed, the dark of the tunnels and the glare of the sun between them.
@@vicstick75 Exactly. Most countries have mandatory warning signs telling you to slow down well in advance of sharp turns - especially on a highway - along with those black and white striped roadside barriers that are international code for "sharp turn ahead: decelerate into turn, accelerate coming out" but in a place as litigious as California that's a lawsuit waiting to happen, probable negligence, and a class action assuming other drivers have come to grief in the same place.
@@vicstick75 the thing is that it didn't even look that sharp, like it was practically gentle, and the only reason this guy lost control is because he was speeding WAY too fast and panicked and overcorrected. it's not the road or the curve or the lack of signage that's the problem, it's literally just him.

So they call ahead and the Forest Service said that the fire wouldn't reach the campgrounds and it was alright to camp. Well, they get to the campground and were met by the Forest Service yelling at them to "Get the f*ck out!! Fire's changed course and is heading this way!!!" Both trucks turned around and were high tailing it off the mountain. He sent me a video of them out running the fire. It was insane. The flames were literally right behind them, everyone's screaming "faster!!!" Everyone made it out alright, but, damn.
Wow, I felt so fearful for those firefighters driving through the wildfire 😬 I can't imagine the fear they themselves felt actually having their vehicles engulfed in flames like that.
Hearing James's panicked voice as he drove over the cliff was heart wrenching. I'm so glad he's okay. Don't be stupid on the roads! One mistake can cost you everything!
Stupid is as stupid does.
Yes! That gasp made my heart drop !
Stupidity gets punished. He can be lucky that he survived.
+ there was also a lack of road signs to signal the sharp turn. given that there was a tiny one on the entrance of the tunnels, it still didn't give enough warning to drivers.
Dude was a moron. I'm guessing he was looking at his phone.
Hearing the one fire fighter, “hey josh help! I’m down I’m down! Let me in let me in!” Made my heart drop, so glad they were all okay.
Yeah burning alive is NO way to go.
I know that made me so sad
That must of been extremely terrifying being surrounded by fire..
Instant heart chills heating that could not imagine been in that situation
I could only imagine it's amazing any of those vehicles could run efficiently enough to do some serious 4x4ing while injecting that much smoke into the system. A lot of those guy (and women I know and have a female friend that was wild land firefighters) go in on foot. Imagine that but being on foot and 5-10 miles from a vehicle. It's an extremely under appreciated job profession.
Good on the first guy for staying calm and getting out of there
But why did he say it was a cartel?
Bad on him for not crushing or shooting any of those fucks. People don't start fighting back they won't go away.

One of my distant cousins that I actually never met, got tangled up his teens with a neighbourhood gang in London’s east end.

3:58 Is a good example of why situational awareness is so important. Whenever I drive or is just out and about I always keep my eyes and ears open because you just don’t know when shit will hit the fan in the worst possible way.
The firefighter saying ''we might have lost some people'' is just sad af. I'm glad they all made it out of that fire.
Right! My heart dropped when he said that. I was so glad to hear all of them miraculously lived through that.
That fire footage was scary as hell! Glad those guys made it out. Can't imagine the anxiety level in that cab at the time.
The video of the fire was absolute insanity. Those guys being off road & trying to get back on the road before they were engulfed in flames.. you will never be closer to death than that. The grim reaper swung his scythe & gave them a haircut.
That was as close as it gets.
Seen closer. Truck overrun by the fire but had a sprinkler self protection system, guys survived but another truck didn’t. Another one after the initial front went over the truck had caught fire so had to be abandoned, they had to don their gear and grab the guys from another disabled truck. Rescue expected to find 8 bodies. Instead they found 8 guys walking out of the zone in full gear. Luck sobs. Search burnover Australia.
Aren't burn survivors closer?
@@savagecatzzz where do you assholes come from? Do you just appear out of thin air to satisfy your desire to argue? You're asking a question that cannot be quantitavely measured because the likelihood that those firefighters would survive, had they not escaped in that moment, is probably around 0%.
i love the way that guy in the pickup truck had a spark in his brain like "wait a minute im in a pick up truck" 😂
Just wanted to say, I really appreciate how you describe each video. It *really* helps on the days where my vision isn't so great due to visual migraines.
Damn that sucks im sorry for that. I didnt know that was a thing.
@@oddfuture7916 Thanks for your concern! It's like trying to see with eyes full of broken glass!

You do realize that lights and screens and sounds can cause or worsen a migraine? May I suggest a dark cave with no electronics?
@@WvlfDarkfire Oh, I don't *watch* videos when I have them. That's why I love descriptive audio on videos! Audio has no effect on my visual migraines, so when I'm suffering and half blind, I can listen to videos like this until I feel better.
So satisfying seeing that pick up truck plow right through those criminals on the bridge.
And the next thing I know I’m doing a take two to see if I really just saw that airplane.

I don't see it bro 😐
That second guy nearly died because he wanted his car to sound cool, lol, think about that.
I'm glad he's okay though but it just reminds you of how little mistakes can easily snowball into large consequences.
Right? He could have also killed someone else. What a dolt. This is why you don’t freaking speed.
Crazy how there were no signs about the sharp turn or any guard rails to the cliff
I literally HATE people who drive "fart cars" or loud motorcycles and I'm not proud to say it, but I honestly wish he had died. 🙂 Dickheads like that driving around residential neighborhoods making everyone else listen to their sh*tty ass cars because they think they're so cool. It honestly feels like assault at some point and they never face any consequences for it. Humanity can do better than him. Maybe he'll figure his sh*t out one day and be more conscientious of his fellow human beings, but it seems unlikely.
*sigh* Why was he given a license?
I dated a guy like that. He had a Subaru Forester, too, strangely. Total 🤡
I'm a infantry combat veteran and I've been in some bad situations in Iraq and that fire dash cam had me scared sh*tless.
Sincere question; Do you regret Iraq?
@@666_ezio Of course he does, they had no reason to be there. False flag operations create the support of the public, rack in trillions, and get thousands to go to war. Because how else are you gonna justify doing that? False flag Ops such as 911. They stole tons of natural resources such as oil, minerals, the poppy fields that are native to Iraq/ Afghan. If you haven’t seen already, there’s literally videos of marines running over innocent people in their Humvees.. for absolutely no reason
Thanks for your service. I don’t denounce the military in any way.

The fact that there’s anyone brave enough to do what firefighters do amazes me. Those are some great people
California uses lots of prisoners to fight wildfires, so a lot of them don't have a choice.

All of the paranormal vids are fake. If any are legit then they show nothing significant.
I've seen many TH-cam videos of dash cam channels, but this one is the best. You explain things as the scenario unfolds.
Another thrillingly scary set of videos. Thanks for posting
@Amaan Storm I agree, I really appreciate the explanation and outcome. Great video!👍
For me there is one very annoying thing: he keeps replaying the same video to say something you can see in the video instead of letting you watch the damn thing
@@BEN-ys6gu I can understand how that would be annoying to some, I have problems staying focused so I really appreciate the instant replays 😉
That pickup truck plowing its way through that car that was trying to force it to stop (in Chili) was pretty awesome. The defensive maneuvers the guy did to get away from the cartel that was blocking the road (in Mexico) was pretty awesome too. Those might be my favorite clips in this video. They were awesome clips and they also told me that I won't be in any hurry to go to either Chili or Mexico. My vacations will be right here in the good old USA. The guy driving his car into a nearby field to get away from falling power lines was also a great clip.

when i was about 4 i went on a trip to my home country, which is home to some of the largest mountains in the world, meaning a lot of roads go through the mountains.
we just arrived and were driving back from the airport where me and my twin had to witness a truck dangle from the mountain while the men inside were screaming. there were so many people attempting to get them out and i still don't know what happened after.
needless to say, im deathly afraid of mountains now 😭

You have one of the most comforting, calm and reassuring voices I've ever heard. I love it. PLEASE NEVER stop nmaking these videos, you are a NATURAL!!!
On that straight ass road their pickups never would've caught the old beater I was driving so they didn't bother.
That must have been so scary...although I must admit that your comment made me laugh. I just imagine the bad guys running for their lives. I can also imagine their road block flying through the air like a bunch of little wooden matches.
Glad you made it out okay thats scary
The clip of the driver going over the edge of the mountain was breathtaking!
You just know he’s never going to make that mistake again!
I’ve definitely had dreams of going over the edge of a mountain and seeing it happen from this perspective was chilling
Thank God for that driver’s situational awareness and driving skills in that first clip. I can say the same for all the drivers.

That fire.. whoa.. got my heart racing.. great video
@@vicstick75 idk about california specifically but where i am in the us we also have reflective chevrons on sharp bends. the fact that this one doesn't means that it generally doesn't warrant one. this guy is just an idiot.

That tunnel one near the beginning was insane. They certainly should have illuminated signs warning of a sharp turn right after the tunnel IMO

Those firefighters trying to make it out was one of the most intense things I ever watched...
The fire one made me so anxious. Dude calling for ol dude to stop and let him him in but they had to just keep going
I just got done driving semi through the mountains in PA. That dude skidding out of the tunnel in CA realized my worst nightmares
Exactly! If that had happened in a semi , the driver would have been TOAST!!
My brother lives in California.
Once a year - for the past 20+ years - he and his buddies go camping for a week up in the mountains; usually the same campground.
So they call ahead and the Forest Service said that the fire wouldn't reach the campgrounds and it was alright to camp.
Well, they get to the campground and were met by the Forest Service yelling at them to "Get the f*ck out!! Fire's changed course and is heading this way!!!"
Both trucks turned around and were high tailing it off the mountain.
He sent me a video of them out running the fire. It was insane. The flames were literally right behind them, everyone's screaming "faster!!!"
Everyone made it out alright, but, damn.
Listening to the voice of someone who thought they would 100% die soon shows how fearful it is
I really want to get a dash-cam now especially after those second and third ones! I feel as if it’s what drivers need as an extra safety precaution.
