It's a very relatable song, one of my favorite characteristics of any song, honestly. But this one in particular is open to translate it for your life, in a few different ways. A lost love, a mental breakdown, or just in a bad spot in your life that's left you numb. At least, that's what I get from it.

I relate to this song because I had a best friend in Freshmen year that I've been friends with for 3 years. She moved in 2019 and I wasn't able to contact her for a year. When we got in contact together again, 2020 was both the first reunion, and the last one, because I presume because she lives in Florida and I live in Illinois, she didn't want to talk to me because she had feelings for me (Just a theory of mine). And if your wondering, I did have feelings for her too, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to become anything more than friends. But yeah, really sucked when she told me we shouldn't talk anymore. But I have no ill-will towards her, but really wished we could have been friends.
I think its about feeling empty and cold and the hope that someone would come along and save them from it. Make them feel something but they can't. But they want to feel something and they're trying to keep the voices inside their head from keeping them there. Thats what I got from it.
