She might've even provided photo evidence dated quite a few years back of a fitting she had so it seemed legit.

I am a slim hourglass type person and yes SKIMS really does fit this body type really nicely. I have not once been disappointed by a SKIMS product. Even the simplest of their garments is amazing.
When it comes to colors and her having a hard time finding her shade I actually believe her. Many times brands will lonely have shape ware in 2-3 shades: white, black, and nude, occasionally you’ll find two nude shades. Obviously nude can be a million colors, so if you’re not that shade or close to it it looks bad. The “nude” shade is also very often a weird, kinda grey tone so it rarely matches anyones skin.
Honestly I kinda like skims, i mean it can be styled with so many different outfits since it’s all good basic stuff to have and everything is in neutral colours

A few things: 1) I couldn’t resist bc I noticed the items kept selling out even after they’d been out for a while, and caved and got undies, a cotton soft bra with no underwire, and a cotton soft bralette that twists in the front, plus a pair of yoga pants and OH MY GOD it is the softest best made stuff. Genius.
Skims bralettes are surprisingly nice quality and so comfortable!! I find it hard to find ones that fit my large chest without looking saggy. I wear mine all the time and it’s held up and looks so sexy!
Luke’s favorite HP movie must be Goblet of Fire because of the costumes and particularly, iconic Hermione’s dress. From a style perspective, the only miss was that basically everyone in the male cast was in a desperate need of a haircut (most notably, Harry, Ron, Fred and George, Neville)
I got a couple Skims t-shirt bras and they're some of the best bras I've ever owned. I was actually pretty surprised. I can be critical of Kim, but she has some good products, I have to say.
Agreed! This is not a new product. But Kim is smart in the way that she showed that shape wear is not just intended to be hidden but also a fashion component.
The one-leg short mentioned toward the end would also work for amputees, which is nice. It was likely created for the reason you listed, but still. You blushing when you were talking about rubbed things was adorable ☺️
Skims leggings are really stretchy and taper in a little bit at the waist band. they fit me well and I dont necessarily have an hour glass shape but they are nice for anyone who's waist is a little smaller than ther hips
Not gonna lie I would have killed for skims in high school. We had to wear uniforms which were skirts. I don't mind wearing skirts but ugh for 8 hours a day and I would wear a black stocking and black tights underneath (mainly because you could be more active that way and it's more secure for periods). If I had a skin coloured skim I wouldn't have had to suffer in the heat with black stockings and tights, I'd just wear the skim.
I really like Eugene but maybe it wouldn't be fair to judge his outfit because if I remember correctly he wasn't able to wear the outfit he originally wanted and he had to find something else quickly.
When I got my breast augmentation and had no idea what size I was, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on bra’s knowing my size would change a few months later her bras were great.
The end of the ad said "say yes to the dress video", which is not this one. LOL But it's neat to see different looks, she has some interesting ideas, but I'm not curvy at all, so I don't think they'd fit me, even regular tights fit me right. I appreciate her commitment to the looks.
The most revolutionary thing abt skims is the colour inclusivity, I cant explain how its impossible to find shapewear for anyone darker than a very light beige.
So....I....have tried SKIMs because during the pandemic I wasn't feeling super hot about my sitting at the computer for a year belly. However, it did not do what I wanted it to do. It says that it will "compress" the body at your gut but it does it in weird areas and creates weird lines on your figure. I really wouldn't recommend her shapewear because it seems really overpriced for what it is. I'm a size 6, so I'm considered "small/medium" for the USA, so for people who say that this is more for smaller girls I guess it's more for girls that are a size 2. It honestly made me feel worse about myself because I couldn't even get the shapewear to look good. I do think their basics are worth it (assuming they hold up) but in terms of compression...I don't know how successful it is. I would 10/10 love to see Luke try out SKIMS though, having tried it myself.
I love Kim😂❤️ I’m so interested in buying skims. I remember Danskin.. I wore in the 80s… so I can relate wearing a Danskin a.k.a. skims just with shorts long pants a leather Skirt.
to be fair, most of their clothing has models of a variety of sizes and you can view what the piece looks on their model of whatever size you're looking for! obviously it isn't all encompassing and the body shapes don't always equal to your own, but it can be quite helpful imo! i can't speak for how they actually wear and look, since i do not own them but i went through the entire website quite recently because i am considering some of them(also i had heard rave reviews abt their bras & sizes and hoped that they had a bra size for me) and they do have decent size representation on the website! the models also aren't all hourglass shapes, if i remember correctly.
I loved seeing the support wear as it would look under other outfits, and the underwear as outerwear trend is really fun. Her products seem well made and stylish, so you can drive the kids to school, run out and get the paper, answer the front door with some skims and a comfy pant or skirt. I guess, I Just like underwear that is perfectly acceptable as outerwear. It’s a nice product, a bit too expensive, but very useful for very busy woman.
I'll never forget how they thought it was ok to call the brand kimono at first :'D whether it was for a negative attention grabber or they genuinely thought it was fine it definitely makes me side eye everything they do
I compared Skims to Spanx and Spanx is much much better quality, to me. Skims seemed cheap … and really, she didn’t have a bra on under one or more of the looks for that kind of support? And although I’m glad people like Skims, please don’t give Kim K credit for a shapewear revolution. That goes to Sarah B, creator of Spanx.
Skims brand products made in Turkey. And Turkey is the leader of fashion textile production. They make quality clothes but cause of Turkish lira it come more cheap to US and Kim knows that:)
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I've never shied away from speaking my mind much like yourself darling, so I shall just continue to do so 😉 She didn't INVENT the concept of Shape Wear, however I do believe she absolutely REVOLUTIONIZED the practical use of Shape Wear, as I said in my humble opinion..... She thought about a woman's comfort and truly applied the MANY ways and times Shape Wear can be, sometimes should be, worn with certain materials, specific outfits and different events/gatherings/professional situations..... if I'm not mistaken Shape Wear previously didn't have such a wide variety of skin tones, just colors that alone is incredibly helpful. She also, likely because of who she is, thought about different garment construction and material clothes are constructed from, like the one leg short you mentioned, that is genius. What I think is the best and most well thought out difference is making her Shape Wear a piece of clothing not just underwear. I hate wearing Shape Wear, although undeniably I love the results (sometimes) I've never really found it to be terribly comfortable and as I've aged,so now I NEED Shape Wear haha, I get hot more often and the thought of having to wear multiple layers, one of those being rigid, uncomfortable, scratchy, painful, inconvenient and high maintenance, I will surely be anxious and upset knowing how unpleasant the experience is going to be......so I think she is a extremely smart!!!!!! Love you, thank you..... I hope your holidays were fabulous and you have an incredible New Year 🥰👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Something I have noted about the body suit with the shorts on one leg for the slit dresses… ((which to note I have never tried the skims” brand before so if anyone has and the fabric is soft and of quality please lmk if it works) but I am sure it might also be a solution for all the other thickkk thighs out there that can get a little bit of a burn/ skin irritation on both inner thighs as you walk in a dress// skirt ???
I have not tried her shapewear. I rarely wear clothes that require it. When I was teaching body conscious clothes were inappropriate. But I agree they definitely can make the outfit. It doesn't matter your size we all benifit from the "smoothing" effect. I feel like some of it has too much compression and can create issues else where so I go up a size or 2.
Luke!!! is it me or are you smiling much more in this video??? i love your smile you seem happy! and i am all for that look, happy and smiling look very good on you :) Love from Tijuana Mexico
@@melz6625 I can show you several with other opinions. I'm more focused on controlling the girls since I have a DDD+ chest. I have to wear something 24/7 to prevent chaffing. I never thought I could go wireless or strapless. Or painless. I'm not into shapewear beyond smooting and support (anti-jiggle). I have no interest in spanx. Skims sells pieces in that middle ground.
To me, the one legged short for a high slit dress doesn’t make sense though. It might as well just be a brief. What’s the point of sculpting one thigh? The thigh with the shape wear will also be very visible through the slit when walking, or when crossing one’s legs. It makes more sense to just have the brief rather than one sculpted leg, but what do I know. 🤷🏽♀️

I’ve literally loved every skims item I’ve bought. The material is crazy
FORREAL???
@@ajlinasaljunovic5081 yup
Wow did not realize i was early! Whoo, needed your content after such a tiring week
Agreed! This is not a new product. But Kim is smart in the way that she showed that shape wear is not just intended to be hidden but also a fashion component.
I... would not wear that shapewear/suit combo to law school
Three minutes into the video and I'm still having trouble focusing on the content cause I keep fixating on Luke's outfit. It looks great😃
Luke, please review the Kylie Swim range? Are all the bad reviews really true?
at this point i wait for fashion videos to come out just so i can watch luke react to them lol
The one-leg short mentioned toward the end would also work for amputees, which is nice. It was likely created for the reason you listed, but still.
You blushing when you were talking about rubbed things was adorable ☺️
"lets get BACK to the say yes to the dress video." lmaooooo
Yay, Hope you’re well Luke . Early ♥️
Your outfit in this video is literally to die for! 🥰
I reluctantly ordered some skims but i ended up really liking everything!
you literally made my day even better🥲
Allegedly Kanye went to the Wolford archives and photographed everything. Around that they imagined and built Skims.
Not an original idea between them..checks out
Skims leggings are really stretchy and taper in a little bit at the waist band. they fit me well and I dont necessarily have an hour glass shape but they are nice for anyone who's waist is a little smaller than ther hips
I LOVE my skims “boyfriend” collection. The fabric is OUT OF THIS WORLD. 🛸😱 nothing like it
Ad Luke was killing it!
I'm not a Kardashian fan but I hope she lets you tour Skims 🖤🖤🖤🖤
bro i havent watched a video of urs in YEARS... i been around since the start-- u blew up.. wtf congrats
Great vid, any chance we'll get a Met Gala pt 2 video? (With Eugene Lee Yang from the Try Guys pls
I really like Eugene but maybe it wouldn't be fair to judge his outfit because if I remember correctly he wasn't able to wear the outfit he originally wanted and he had to find something else quickly.
Loving your outfit sooo much Luke.
When I got my breast augmentation and had no idea what size I was, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on bra’s knowing my size would change a few months later her bras were great.
loved luke's little "i love a rib" tangent
The end of the ad said "say yes to the dress video", which is not this one. LOL
But it's neat to see different looks, she has some interesting ideas, but I'm not curvy at all, so I don't think they'd fit me, even regular tights fit me right. I appreciate her commitment to the looks.
"ribs on my latex"...he just went from candle wax to magenta in 0.01 seconds
I personally think Kim should’ve wore Skims to the metgala instead of Balenciaga
I love what Luke is wearing x
Lets just dont forget Skims was originally named as Kimono which is traditional Japanese clothes...
It’s not that real
And she changed it so what's the point of bringing it up? 🙄
Yeah, I’d rather forget. Next.
No point in highlighting Kim’s faux pas. Let’s move on.
Kim Oh, no!
"I like ... ribs on latex...." and then that smile! Oh, Luke, Luke, Luke.
I love Kim😂❤️ I’m so interested in buying skims. I remember Danskin.. I wore in the 80s… so I can relate wearing a Danskin a.k.a. skims just with shorts long pants a leather Skirt.
Came for the review… stayed for the “rib” rollout 🤣
You are wearing the ximon lee shirt!!! I discovered you from the Ximon Lee lookbook video years ago
Yes! Most of us don’t have the BBL body 😑
Nobody said you’ll look like Kim Kardashian. It helps shape YOUR body,
@@fluffyunicornunicorn417 there’s different shape wear for different body types.
to be fair, most of their clothing has models of a variety of sizes and you can view what the piece looks on their model of whatever size you're looking for! obviously it isn't all encompassing and the body shapes don't always equal to your own, but it can be quite helpful imo! i can't speak for how they actually wear and look, since i do not own them but i went through the entire website quite recently because i am considering some of them(also i had heard rave reviews abt their bras & sizes and hoped that they had a bra size for me) and they do have decent size representation on the website! the models also aren't all hourglass shapes, if i remember correctly.
@@osnapitzmaia what I was referring to was a specific comment he made. Lol
Todays outfit is giving me major David Rose vibes
"Now let's continue on with this Say Yes to the Dress video" in the ad lol
I don’t buy this look. But I can tell it’s something so her. And it’s great to see a women that are not so slim being confident about her body.
Ok, look. Bring it!
I'll never forget how they thought it was ok to call the brand kimono at first :'D whether it was for a negative attention grabber or they genuinely thought it was fine it definitely makes me side eye everything they do
What skims bras would you guys recommend for a size C 30 something
I compared Skims to Spanx and Spanx is much much better quality, to me. Skims seemed cheap … and really, she didn’t have a bra on under one or more of the looks for that kind of support? And although I’m glad people like Skims, please don’t give Kim K credit for a shapewear revolution. That goes to Sarah B, creator of Spanx.
Reminds me of 1990s Donna Karan. She was huge in the day
I would love to know whether or not you recommend the things you talk about!
SKIMS is definitely emphatically reviewed.
Each collection looks like Yeezy Season One.
Make of that what you shall
Ok after some of these glowing comments about skims I gotta go check them out 🥰
The Kim's skins scheme, aka Skims HUSHAUHSUAHSUAHSU
I have not tried her shapewear. I rarely wear clothes that require it. When I was teaching body conscious clothes were inappropriate. But I agree they definitely can make the outfit. It doesn't matter your size we all benifit from the "smoothing" effect. I feel like some of it has too much compression and can create issues else where so I go up a size or 2.
THE RIB RANT! LUKE 😂😂😂😂😂😂 (but also same 😈😈)
Luke!!! is it me or are you smiling much more in this video??? i love your smile you seem happy! and i am all for that look, happy and smiling look very good on you :)
Love from Tijuana Mexico
I'm so glad she changed it from kimono to skims
lukeee, who are u wearing?? so good!! ;)
i truly feel like it’s just spanx marketed in an instagram fashion
Not spanx. Not high compression. More smoothing and supportive.
@@aikanae1 I watched a plus size influencer try the stuff. And it did neither. Not a look.
Anyone from Canada know if the duties are expensive for skims?
Order off of ssense so you don't have to pay duties!
@@aleena7386 thank you!!
Where is your outfit from? 😍😍
You dress so well for your body type here.
