Everytime I listen to this song I picture myself in this medieval party in the forest, a camp fire in the middle, people barefooted dancing, the full moon in the sky... I love it!
roughly 5 or 6 years ago a new but good friend linked me to this. i'd never heard anything like it, i loved it, i kept dancing around in the room to it. that person was a very good friend to me for a long time and we collectively loved blackmore's night, and this song was a classic.
Blackmore's night's songs are so special. There is real no other band/person who sings like them. They are spectacular and I hope they keep make even more songs:) And keep taking us into a dream land of knights and Tudors!
Have you heard of any of these? (I think you might like them, but if you heard of them already or don't like them then sorry) :) Heather Dale Celtic Women Within Temptation Nightwish Epica
The band Omnia's music is similar to some of Blackmore's night's songs. there's two bands with the name... one young kid and a whole neofolk pagan band. the one I'm talking about is the whole band. ;)
For some reason This reminds me of being a young girl in a medieval village going with her family to A festival and dancing and singing and laughing with The other villagers
@@haranfamily yeah, "in a medieval mood" sounds a bit too direct and it kills the said mood for me though. Before that line I'm in a tavern jamming to the bard and then suddenly I'm splashed with the fact that this is just a modern-day song trying to get me to a medieval mood, and ironically fails just because of that part.
Danny evil. My sister :If I was in the medieval times I would want to be a princess! Me:I wanna be an Archer ooh or a mage or a fool or a sheriff or a warrior or a- My sister:.......
I love this song! And I have my poppop to thank for that! He knew that I love Celtic Women, and seeing as how they do some traditional music, thought this song would be perfect for me! He said it's almost as if it's traditional music with an almost rock band side (I like some rock music too, especially Pink Floyd and David Gilmore). He couldn't be even more right, for I apsolutely love this song, and can't get it out of my head!
This song was played at a Harvest Festival that I was at once. It took place outside under torch light it was a very fun time lots of good food lots of fun and great music
This was played at an outdoor Harvest Festival that I attended one year it was wonderful time to the night was warm Autumn leaves were on the ground lots of good food and good drink and good people and a good time was had by all
i was on my sister wedding on a ranch on winter.. i just took out my flash drive and played this song.. and we danced with the bride under the moon with a huge halo around it.
My family thinks I'm weird because I like this band and this type of music. I say, Hey! I like it! Problem? Deal with it! Then I am dead because my mom throws a book at my head. :))
I've been growing up with this kind of music I say that because I'm only 10 I also like rock a little bit of pop and classical sometimes I feel weird liking such different music from other kids but my grandma says it's good to like such a variety of music at a young age and I love this music so much
Julia Hartle Variety is always a good thing. I enjoy listening to death metal, black metal, classic rock, classical, opera, old school country, and old school hip-hop/r&b/rap.
+Julia Hartle I hang with a bunch of local musicians of all ages and styles. As long as it is live, I can say I have not found a style I have hated although there are some styles I will not listen to recorded. I grew up with a mom who never changed the radio station even when the station changed formats. I listened to 70's pop and country growing up. My preference leans towards Celtic, FILK, and jazz now with a special place for ballads of any musical style but I will listen to just about anything. When my kids were little, I played a lot of classical and as they developed their own taste in music, they gravitated to European artists who where classically trained before branching into pop and rock. They never liked anything I could not tolerate and most I found OK in spite of style since the artists really knew the theory behind the music. I hope you get a chance to learn music and art and then add to the beauty in the world.
Eli McFadden You're never too young to like a certain genre of music, sweetie. I heard this at a very young age, and even then it struck a very deep chord with me. Music is timeless, for the most part.
Yup, I've got an entire Pandora station seeded off them as well. Toss 'em a bone, head over to their website and buy a couple of their CDs. They won't keep putting this kind of quality out if it looks like nobody is supporting them!

I wish more bands did stuff like this. This is what makes Richie so great. Long may he live!

Kelly Cowley Nightwish and Epica! Maybe Within Temptation, although I only really like The Howling, Shot In The Dark, and Hand of Sorrow from them.

For some reason This reminds me of being a young girl in a medieval village going with her family to A festival and dancing and singing and laughing with The other villagers
I am sure that is the intent of the song!

Tony, Peace, love and understanding. God bless Sweden and America and all our democratic countries. CHEERS

Jason Lam Me either, but I like songs that aren't about anything. Besides, I'm gonna play this at my weeding
She's talking about going home. Our time we knew before we came here. Our real home.
I love how it seems to get louder and softer at random parts. (not really.)
Love the song. Absolutely love it. It makes me want to dance.
You just basically described what's going to be the reception at my wedding.

First song I heard by Blackmore's Night, I then listened to all her songs. But this is still the best,
THIS group is truly what music is about...songs with a message other than having sex, doing drugs, killing each other...and her voice is heavenly!
Wellsaid 😊
