The Snowdon amalgamate actually feels very depressing- when it tries to fight it barely even reaches the player. She's just a very sad monster and it feels very sad to see her
i'll never understand why the memoryheads seem to be so mysterious when I'd always figured they were just Migosp duders, their faces kinda look like the roach guys and they just wanna hang out
they're implied to be hallucinations, or at least barely existing. You hear them through the phone, the CHECK options are your pause menu options, "smells like batteries" could be referring to the phone too
It's kinda upsetting how most vtubers don't seem to notice the simply DEPLORABLE state of the last amalgamate battle, or don't read into it enough to understand it's an incredibly upsetting battle, just looking at it made me feel bad, or maybe it's just me.
I always thought it was kinda fucked up how Alphys never faces any consequences for what she did. Just "power of friendship, everything's okay now lol."
@@TOASTEngineer It was a job gone wrong, and technically she did keep them alive and they get to go home after the pacifist ending. Also there was no power of friendship. She tortured herself more than anyone else could. It's very implied she was near suicide from the guilt of it all.

Macromiser you are a god. I've been searching for Watame's playthrough for weeks and you've uploaded all the clips ive been searching for. Thanks brother
1:45 Wait... "Smells like batteries"? I don't remember something like that in the American release. Is that added in the Japanese release? Cos if so, that validates my belief that every individual port and rerelease of Undertale has their own secret easter eggs that relate to the overall mystery of Gaster. In this case, Eraserheads are an anomaly among Amalgamates because they don't seem to resemble any known monster, and aren't seen anywhere else outside of this encounter (their overworld sprites are used after the power's turned back on, but it could be argued that it's other amalgamates and not Eraserheads), not even in the epilogue after the fight with Asriel. As such, that begs the question: What are they? And why do they not resemble any known monsters? I believe, while their smelling like batteries might raise additional questions, it's a possible clue as to the answer of what they are. I'm just not smart enough to think of what that answer is.
Unfortunately for your theory, Chara's line "Smells like batteries" is indeed in the English version. But then, Memoryhead still has multiple (if sort of thin) ties to Gaster that we can play off of. Deltarune shows us that Gaster has some fascinating interactions with technology, via trying to use the phone while in The Dark. And one of his Followers shows us that the various pieces of Gaster sometimes appear as small disconnected heads. You can loosely connect the wobbly-face attack with that of presumably-Gaster in the secret Waterfall hallway room. None of it is conclusive evidence by any means, but they do start to paint a picture that these mysterious creatures may very well be parts of Gaster.
@@riluna3695 Thank you for not just shooting down my thoughts. Yeah, I should've done my research if the line was in English, that's on me. But that is a very interesting line of thought.

@Mizumi Nishikiyama Ch. Oh yeah I see that now, cool! So they aren't just a random assortment of eyes after all.
I think it's a meta joke, since Toby Fox's first game was an Earthbound hack he isn't particularly proud of, and they look like Giygas.
