Apologies for how long it has took for me to upload on the channel. I recently made the jump to Premiere Pro so it took me some time to readjust. I know the car isn't gonna be everybody's cup of tea but i just love the thing. Despite all of its flaws.

So refreshing to see an I Bought My Dream Car video and it isn’t some supercar. So much more relatable to us 3rd world carguys.
Not just to you in the 3rd world also for us Normal people in the 1st World (Europe) that like cars but dont have Vin Diesel as a Cousin or a 9 Million subs YT channel
i have a 2007 IS250 RWD and i love it but it sucks my Bankaccount dry! :/ Not everyone has a Million Dollars and even if i did i dont care for some idiotic Mercedes i have a thing for the Old
You shouldn't feel bad for the price you paid. Here in South Africa, these were sold as a Toyota RunX RSI and they also have a cult following here, therefore making them very expensive this side of the pond too. I grew up in a coastal town where they were very popular(they still are in the coastal areas) and the sound when it engages the lift is so glorious! Congratulations on the purchase.
It used to be popular in my country too, they were sold as a 4 door with the same specs. But they kinda are extinct nowadays, it’s VERY rare to see one.

Great choice of a car mate! The 2ZZ engine is very reliable. Keep your oil level good and change your oil frequently and it will last a long long time. Had one of these for over 7 years, purchased it with 88k on the clock and sold it with 178k miles. Original engine, never ever let me down. Only ever had to do wear and tear parts on it, did all of the work on it myself as a Toyota Tech. Handle good too and super comfortable. My partner got one as well after liking mine, hers just ticked over 150k miles. Enjoy!
As a kiwi living in the UK now, I'm absolutely baffled by insurance costs here. INSANE. I could fully insure my pretty modified IS350 and DC2 integra for roughly 400 pounds each per year.
Either way, enjoy the shit out of your corolla. It's a great platform to keep learning, modifying, fixing, etc.

I agree with you mate, just moved to the uk 2 months ago from Nz where i was paying 550nzd a year on 1.8 turbo manual volkswagens and bmws. Come here and find out ill be paying around 3 thousand pounds a 1.2L has me shocked.
Insane, right? That might reduce a bit if you get a UK drivers license, if you haven't already. Also insane because the standard of driving here, or in London anyway, is fucking shocker. Makes me glad I don't need a car here.

Love the car man! Got a corolla t sport myself, it was my first car (don’t ask about insurance 😬) For the rust i’d definitely recommend checking underneath the side skirts. Mine looked the same as yours underneath and when we took the skirts off it was pretty nasty…. it’s currently getting welded up the now but trust me it’s not been easy 🤣. They’re seriously underrated cars for sure.

My previous car was a 4 door '05 T-Sport. Lovelyyyyyyy cars. Put the front seats of a GR Yaris in it, Moroso oil pan, OZ Superturismo wheels, tein coilovers and a sports exhaust. Got an offer i couldn't refuse and decided to sell it :( I miss it to this day

I've always wondered why Toyota never offered the facelifted Corolla T-Sport as a 5-door in the UK like they did with the 2002-04 pre-facelift car (the facelift from 2004-06 was 3-door only in the UK), especially as the 5-door Corolla T-Sport was still offered in other markers after the facelift.
These need to be kept underrated so I can import one from a different country because I haven’t see one on sale in the last 2 years or something here in the Netherlands
The T-Sport is a fantastic car was my dream car too very underrated car especially with that Yamaha engine, I ended up getting a early 2002 model which I've had for a few years now the roar of that engine never gets old.

This is a proper car. Peak car production was probably from about 2005-2015. It's insane what insurance companies make you do these days.
The Tsport line up is underrated, My 1st car was a Yaris Tsport. Right little go kart it was.

Nice car mate, I recently picked up a celica 190 from 1k (pretty much the same underneath) from copart, fixed it in a day and its been the best daily ive had and £300 a year to insure. been written off twice but drives sweet.

The fact Ep3s are now worth nearly £10000 is baffling! They are absolutely not worth that kind of money. Your corolla is a strong purchase mate, you can get alot of content out of that. Did you know they built a supercharged model? Could be a fun build

the reverse sound is normal! has the same engine and trans setup as my Celica GTS here in Canada, and they do it too. Loved them so much I ended up owning two. One at 16, and another at 18. Have fun with it man! Crazy how expensive those are over there: I paid $3000 for my first GTS, 180,000KM, and $1500 for my second, 190,000KM. Think that is about 2000 pounds and 1000 pounds respectively. No real comparable model to that apart from the Toyota Matrix XRS, which you can find here for around $3000-$4000.

I just bought a dream car of mine. A 2003 BMW E46 330ci clubsport at 21 and was shocked about how much the insurance was. For a year it was £720 which is £600 less than my 1 series I have with a 1.5 3 banger. If you look for the right vehicles. Insurance prices are still a scam in the UK but if you look right you can find some cheap cars…

Awesome cars, I have a Celica but with the 1zz engine. You can disable the reverse beep but it is actually fairly easy to go into 1st rather than reverse, so I keep it. It's expensive to make extra power, they made supercharged models but it's hard to find one these days. I actually made a video about the ZZ engines and the supercharged 2zz. An air filter will make the lift crossover much louder, especially with that exhaust. If you get the welding done, keep on top of the underseal and keep the salt off as these rust for fun. Jam Nadeen at SJ Autosport break these cars as well as Celicas so any parts you need, hit them up. What insurance company did you go with btw?

Here in America, we didn't get this car. We got the Corolla XRS! Same 2ZZ engine made by Yamaha. just in a sedan form. The XRS was made to compete with the Civic Si.
I passed my test in 2021. For my first car I got a 2.0 Honda Civic Type S with the K20A3 engine. Very similar to the EP3 however with 5 doors and 30 less horsepower. I was 18 when I bought the car. It cost me £200 a month no black box.
Wicked car, brang back memories for me. I've sort of outgrown the whole car hype thing now but I've been fortunate enough to own every car I've wanted, but the best memories were in the beaters 😂 my 2nd car was a mint 2.0 Corolla d4d, for some reason the stock sound system sounded amazing, it had rain sensing wipers etc (all of this was a massive deal for me back then). I remember one late night beating a 3 series off the lights, guy was absolutely fuming 😂😂😂

I actually really like the corolla t sport, although that might just be because I have an attachment to Toyota and Lexus in general. Probably won't be able to get one for a while because of funding (which means I'll probably go for the cheaper Yaris T Sport) but I respect a fellow fan who was able to get one.

Had the same gen, Corolla hatch with a 1.4l vvti. It was my first, and worst car I have ever had. Be careful with it, I am unaware of any differences in suspension or chassi between the lineup of hatches, but mine taught me what SEVERE understeer means.
I wanted one like yours for a while, but prices where already around 5k several years ago, which imo the car is definitely not worth.
If I were you, I would not put too much money into it. Nevertheless, enjoy, it's whether you love it or not that matters!
Im feeling soo bad for u guys in England, Im 21 here livin in poland and Im saying very bad things while buying insurance for 400-450usd (1yr) (e36 coupe 1.8is). Im literally scared what gonna happen with cheap cars for "not rich" people, everything is looking like they gonna destroy the whole idea of cars for young people. I cant even imagine possibility that my kids (I dont have any just imagination) will not have a car that they want bcs insurance or "road tax" (we dont have anything like that in poland, for now of course). Im soo mad... stay strong and I hope that type of taxes will not come to poland by any means.

would really love to have FN2 but needed 5 door for practicality, opted to get 2013 honda civic 1.8 i-vtec 84k miles for £4.8k instead. I have to say paintworks is not pristine, it has a lot of tiny scratches and as it is black, scratches even the tiniest once are very pronounced. lowest Insurance offered to me was £1.8k but good thing my current insurance(admiral) offered me 760£ since I did not transfer to other insurance for my 2nd year with them. It is a very lovely car to drive, if only not because of MPG I will be driving it to the redline as much as I can (^_^)

I picked up my dream car 09 Mazda rx-8 i had to get some bits done on it to pass the mot but there done now you'll get there we all get there eventually i passed my test in December congratulations on passing and enjoy your Car 😊😊 that's a big win on insurance and road tax compared to mine the insurance for me is £3,000 a year and road tax is £695 a year thats terrible but I love the car.
